Even the Dothraki stopped eating horse meat after what he did in season 1.

Seeing Sean Bean in the recap made the show harder. He and Mark Addy brought so much to this show and I still feel the loss.
 
They both died, though, didn't they? Horribly! Painfully! And for Oberyn, so unnecessarily! But they both died, didn't they? Why does that mean death for Tyrion? Clearly the gods can't make up their bloody minds!

Gregor lived. For now. Its complicated and full of spoilers but Gregor was alive at the end of the combat and Oberyn was a popped pimple.

Really? I haven't read the books but it looked to me that the Viper had inflicted mortal wounds on him. The Mountain appeared to have breathed his last breath just after summoning enough strength to squash the Viper's head just like the kid Tyrion was talking about in his dull long winded story that derived pleasure from squashing beatles.

That would be one of the more significant departures from the books. I can't really go into details without spoilers but he does survive in the books and that is a bit of plot point.
 
You're 'for now' bit is very telling. I'm assuming the Mountain will eventually die (in weeks if not days) given the seriousness of his wounds and the fact that this story is based on medieval europe when the wonders of modern medicine weren't available.

Its not that clear cut. Medieval show, but with magic smoke monsters that come out of priestesses vagina's.

My understanding was that the snake / red viper was using a poisoned "got you last" type blade that meant, live or die, just as long as he at least scratched his opponent, he would get his revenge.

At the moment I reckon the best acting is coming from Alfie re: his current portrayal of Theon Greyjoy. Tropic Thunder jokes about "never go full moron" aside, he is utterly believable and probably quite freaky to be around on set. How close did he look to losing it / having a break-down / melt-down when the sick soldier spat blood in his face ?

As for the little person ... deem "obviously you haven't been paying attention if you think this is going to have a happy ending" included.

That insiped "waa, waa, waa" red-head looks far better with dark hair and feathers on her shoulders. Her new character might even bring out some decent acting now too.

Meh to the dragon lady and her entourage and nut-less fighters. Hard to see the point of any of them at the moment, especially now that the dragons are wayward teens.

A pity viper forgot rule 17 .... "don't be a hero".

Oh well, at least he remembered rule 49.

"Always have backup" ... in his case, a poisoned blade.

Did they mention the "Red Viper" thing in the show? I know Tywin threw in a poison reference in the brothel but we did not get all the information in the show that you get in the book. There is a story about a previous duel Oberyn had that tells you everything you need to know about the character, including the sex obsession. Its disappointing we have not seen it yet or at all.

Sansa looked like she was auditioning for the role of a Disney witch. I did not dig the way they shot it, it was so ridiculous to me.
