LOL, LOL, LOL
You, seemed to be referencing his famous movie -
The Cook, The Thief, Is Wife & Her Lover
A very, very frightening movie - that is visually quite astounding, note the designer Gaultier is involved.
Helen Mirren is awesome.
The design of this movie has fascinated me- whenever a character moves between scenes/rooms the colours change astonishingly.
Neck frills made from metal salad colander things.
Brutal movie, be warned.

I saw your quote and was about to reply when I saw that @kxk had already done it for me! I thought you were making a word play on his famous film The Cook , the Thief, His Wife and Her lover. Peter Greenaway was a very reknowned director in the '80's. His films could be very weird but visually stunning. I really only like one of his movies, The Draughtsman's Contract. Every frame was like an 18th century painting. Beautiful.

Sorry to butt in, such a freaky and astonishing movie - how did you see it?
A new friend movie buff invited me, she could not stop apologising for it being so in your face, she was funny.

I admit that I avoided the The Cook as if my life depended on it! It sounded so grotesque, and that, apparently is what Peter Greenaway seemed to revel in. As I say, I loved The Draughtsman's Contract but his other movies leave me cold.

Women are wonderful story

Can't afford that Vera Wang? Nuns offering second-hand wedding dresses from their Italian monastery becomes go-to atelier for thrifty brides - and all they ask for is a donation
Historical: St Rita, an abused bride and widow, occupied the monastery 600 years ago. She was married off by her parents when she was just 12 to a violent and abusive husband (pic credit: Nadia Shira Cohen/The New York Times/Eyevine/Redux
Variety: Using her design expertise, she alters the dresses to create open backs with ribbons, suggests where to cut the neckline, and reassembles inner padding to suit the particular bride.
Seamstress and designer Sister Maria Laura, who entered monastic life when she was 28, now runs the establishment and claims she can find the perfect gown for any bride who comes her way.
Eighteen years into her marriage, her husband was murdered in a family feud, and St Rita was admitted to the Augustinian convent of St Mary Magdalene.
Women travelled far and wide to come and pray to her for their marriages to be saved.
Women began donating their dresses out of solidarity and as an offering to St Rita back in the 1950s and the collection has now amounted to hundreds.

And @Daltrim have you ever considered how smart the old nun's were - when they wore the face lift habits?
You know, the veil & attachments, everything that could sag or wrinkle, was strapped/wrapped/pulled in, or hidden. And of course the old flowing robes hid everything below the chin, so cakes away...
And I bet, seamstress and designer Sister Maria Laura, makes them look fabulous - look at her pretty watch, she has style.

Love this young starlet's style, fresh & young; and her family - for protecting her
One of her 4 older brother's accompanies her everywhere, this one usually and he helps coach her
You can see him behind her in the 1st pic, he melts away so the focus is on her when possible, but he is there for her allways.
She is just 17.

O. My. Gawd. She looks like she's 12! That shirt looks like it could be hiding something.

And I would seriously knock her down and steal those sunnies. (Actually, I wouldn't because I'm an old hippie, but I'm a new glammie so I really do want them!)
