Estelle appreacian thread (i can't spell)

It's odd when you read comments like this one on TV Tonight.
It bare's little reality at all to what actually took place.
I honestly really don't recall Estelle playing the victim card except a handful of times when it was either brought up by someone or she was pushed too far she broke down.
Estelle was never banging on about how different she was. Everyone was constantly talking about how weird she was.
She also was never playing up for the camera's. Certainly not as much as Michael, Ben, Stacey, Josh.
Also he thinks Ben genuinely cared? When he spent the entire show being twofaced and hateful towards basically everyone. Even his friends.
It's just strange.
Once again, I think it's gets down to viewers who just take up the talking points and notes from house mates bitching as if it's real. Not actually watching and forming their own opinion.
Playing the victim and blubbering in nearly every episode. And when she wasn’t doing that she was banging on and on and on about how different she was. I didn’t see different, I just saw boring and what appeared to be put on zaniness for the cameras sake. The Lavender, the swans in the pool and the show jumping stuff all appeared to be disingenuous. You can’t call yourself “a bit different and crazy”, do a couple of silly things and expect people to believe that it isn’t done for the benefit of the cameras. On the other hand, Benjamin may have been opinionated and a gossip but he was entertaining and did seem to genuinely care for many of the housemates. Did he have to like everyone? In life do we all have to like everyone? If someone cries do you have to like them? No!

Up all night their's no point trying to reason and understand these type of people, you will go crazy. Not everyone cares about morality.
It's just interesting.

You might not be religious but most people with morals would agree with this quote from the Quran. Pretty similar things are written in all religious books. "Backbiting and Gossiping are from the most vilest and despicable of things, yet the most widely spread amongst mankind, such that no one is free from it except for a few people."

Good on you for standing up to them! Although make sure they don't start giving you the Ben treatment!
I wonder if in this day and age of so much fake and scripted reality TV. Yes most reality TV is scripted. That there could be a effect that people stop seeing the people on reality TV as real people. With real emotions. It's all just entertainment. When they watch the Real Housewives claw each others eyes out. Even though it's presented as reality and the writers don't get a credit (possibly soon to change). People know it's not real and don't treat it as real with real people. As a result when there's a show with real people, that isn't scripted like Big Brother. It just blends into the same viewing habit is as if it's fiction. So they don't think of the housemates as real people with real emotions.
It's probably like how I can watch Dexter and not think twice of the people he kills and like Dexter. It's not real.
Out of curiosity, How many Estelle fans watch much reality TV? Especially things like those pretend reality shows.
I don't really watch much else beyond Masterchef and Grand Designs.
Just as Wormow said it happens at school and also in the work place.
It's all about attention, once groups are formed if someone in that group feels threatend or upset they then start rumours and badmouth just as Michael did.
It seems to be the way they eliminate their problem.
Most of the people in the group wont have a problem with the person targeted but just by listening to others and wanting to be part of the group they too become active in the bullying.
For some reason it can take a long time for people to see they have been sucked into someone elses hatred.
It goes on in the work place too.
If someone feels you do too much or you're finding faults in work coming through to you, before long they stop asking you to come out for a coffee, then the backstabbing starts and before you know it you're sitting on your own and getting the cold shoulder.
They try to shut you down so you don't show them up, when up against a group it tends to look like you can't get along with them.
It was annoying to see Estelle go through it, it was painfull.

Seeing that photo of Stacey with Stella's toy horse is WICKED! Stacey is horrible! Bitter and jealous right to the very end... Oh Stella, we love you so much!![]()
I disliked Stacey with a passion - she is a horrible human being together with Ben & Co made Estelle's time in the house miserable.
Estelle was being herself and they are freaking idiots for not accepting a person who genuinely did not talk crap about others.
Karma is a bitch Stacey and Ben...

Thanks to everyone on this thread for shared their ideas and appreciation for my favorite housemate this season. In particular thanks to
U A N , ViennaMoo , Topaz , l.a.r.a. , the effervescent Rock Chick and a huge cast of people to numerous to mention.
You fought the good fight and in the end we were able to see our fave in the race right up till the last moments.
Kudos to you all, the world is a better place when people can recognize and appreciate the quality of virtue, even in a reality t v show, even in a weird horse loving young lady .
It was a pleasure reading your posts .![]()
I absolutely adored every second spent with you all in here; EVERYONE who, as amartis said, fought the good fight with our gorgeous girl! What a phenomenal journey... Estelle is the TRUE winner, and we all know that!

In today's Fairfax press (The Age, SMH, Brisbane Times, WA Today, CT) there was an article about Ben winning and it attracted some positive comments about Estelle.
The person who called Estelle the 'spiritual winner' of BB got it right, IMO.

I couldn't read the article whAt did it say
in the end, even the stellahood couldnt save estelle landy when it came to the crunch, with the 24 year old melbourne law student the first to be evicted from the big brother finale.
going into the finale it was still anyone's prize to win, with less than 1% separating the three finalists in the public vote unveiled on monday night.
But the signs were ominous for estelle when the crowd booed her during the evictions of the other two corners in her house love triangle. former foe michael and jealous country gal zoe.
estelle's shock first eviction left gay melbourne accounts manger benjamin norris, 32, and gold coast beautician layla subritzky 24, facing an agonising hour long wait to find out who'd been declared the winner.
the bookies were tipping ben to win.
on tuesday night, though, estelle seemed overwhelmed by the public support and acceptance that had brought her so far.
she comes from a troubled background - her father was a heroin addict and she was raised by a single mother.
'emotions come back to me from the wonderful times and also the not so great times and just to have some good karma come my way has been a truly amazing thing' she said of her big brother experience.
'its just overwhelming.'
the finale opened with a huge and energetic dance number featuring the former housemates doing gangnam style and a specially written number, oats a la layla, even south australian contestant josh moore, who left the show after the sudden death of his brother toby, returned.
nine's gamble to bring back big brother this year after the brand had been tainted by adults only late night sleaze and the infamous turkey slap scandal appears to have paid off, while the show hasnt had the ratings spike of master chef or the voice in its final weeks, it has attracted an average audience of more than a million across its three month run.
the bookie were predicting a finale audience of more than 1.5 million.

No, she is the favourite and the real winner, Ben's minions, I mean fans, just voted more and there is something wrong if they let that fake ass douche win.
Piss off, your signature comment only help proves that Ben didn't deserve to win and that Estelle truly won.
LMAO Yes I am a Ben fan but I didn't spend a cent on voting. I didn't care enough to vote. You care enough to be a nutjob about it. It's just a TV show - and it's over. Get a life.

I thought we discussed last night that you were no longer going to post silly little statements here?
