Petaa hiiiii....... Got ur auto correction on? Hehehe

By the way, I didn't get a confirm MSG yesterday via SMS voting. Nor today. It's still 19955999 isn't it? Anyone have the same problem?

Actually that's getting more and more common. Especially for people who live inner city.

Although generally he's in the age range where people go, "shit I better do this now" or they never get it.

It's generally something where people don't need it, so don't right a way. Then it becomes a way of infantalising yourself.

Which with him, I guess fits in with his whole thing about growing up and cutting his hair.
In life I've actually noticed that a lot of uber intelligent ppl won't drive.
I'm not sure if its maybe to do with finding something difficult or failing so
they dont entertain the notion?

I've noticed Michael dislikes fitness and anything sporty.....probably because he cant emphasise his intellectual superiority.
That's the other thing Estelle is intelligent....shes very well spoken, she's much better spoken than anyone else in the house with the exception of Ben...who is street 'smart'.
I'd say he'd have instantly felt competitive to her and disliked her as a result anyway.
Ava and Sam are also articulate and he's threatened by those two.
Notice that he was never affected by Josh/Angie? Cause she's not very 'smart'

I'd love for them to throw in a 'secure' intellect.
Insecure intellects like Michael aren't 'that' smart but ham it up for attention.
Those that study will notice this, always that one classmate that brags about smashing an exam.
Usually, they aren't actually the top of the class.

In the first eviction with charne I didn't get responses but after that I have. Just put my first vote in for Estelle this week and got a response back. I sent it to that number too.

Benjamin talks to Stacey by the Pool and tells her he thinks Estelle puts lavender in her hair just to annoy other HMs.

The lavender-wearing girl herself actually joins the conversation as Benjamin says, “It’s clearly the worst thing she’s ever done.”

Estelle wants to know why. “I think you know that it bothers people,” Benjamin tells her.

Estelle maintains she didn’t know, and asks why the HMs care if she puts lavender in her hair.

“I just do it cause I like to do it,” explains Estelle, denying Benjamin’s theory that she does it to get a rise out of people.

Another clear example of them looking for things to complain about Estelle.

Who gives a shit if Estelle sticks lavender in her hair?

Of course once again, it's Estelle's fault. She's apparently doing something deliberately wrong.

Not the fact that Ben or anyone is getting annoyed by something trivial. No Estelle can't do anything right, it's all her fault. She's doing it to annoy them. Which is like so many of the complaints. Estelle can do nothing right. They will pick and complain on everything and then fault her for it.

Michael seems to have hatched a plan to make Ava more popular, he sure is a strategist.

Dunno if it would work or not but I expect to see a lot of the coming episodes to feature the storyline of Michael trying to make Ava and Josh a bigger focus in the house.

Wow, just wow at that update! It's like Ben and Stacey have to clutch more and more at straws to justify their dislike of Estelle! So pathetic and childish!

And yet watch people defend these actions.
Dunno who's worse.

Ok, I'll admit this, I didn't get my drivers licence until around my mid 20s. I still know plenty of people who don't have theirs.

I had my learners from 17. Had taken driving lesson a few times of the years. Basically with me, there was just never the desire of "must get my licence" around turning 18. A lot of my friends got theirs early on. However they didn't live as close to the city and transport and so they had the need. Then once friends had their licences, for a lot of things there was always someone driving. You just get used to not having it. Then the life of going to Uni, or going out. It's all public transport and taxi's.

When you say intelligent people, maybe there is some tie in to the Uni lifestyle and not driving. Although there were plenty of people I knew from then that didn't go to uni, also didn't have their licence. There seemed to he waves. Those that got it at 18/19. Then a second wave around 21-23. Then the stragglers around 25/26. Then I can't think of anyone I know older than this with out their licence that have since got it.

I know a couple that's maybe early 40s who neither of them drive and they have kids. Fucked if I know how that works.

It sometimes got embarrassing not having it. However I didn't really mind having a girlfriend that drove. It did become awkward sometimes with relationships. Also sometimes there were things you couldn't go to. The older and more independent you get and the more people move away and the need grows from changes in life style.

However I did get to a point where I wanted my licence. I just was used to not having it, so there was no pressing need to get me motivated. Finally I got to a point and went, "OK I have to do this now, get it out of the way or i'll never get it." I don't regret waiting. Although I probably should have got it a couple years before I did. You don't understand how much freedom it gives you until you get it. Ultimately freedom was one of the bigger motivators. Was away at the beach with friends cruising around and it's like.. "I would like this freedom."

One of my friends even got divorced after she got her licence in her mid 20s. The extra freedom it gave her, helped change her perspective on things.

I think there's a slight part of if it's difficult or failing. But it's less than you think. I think there's a big mix of, eh i'll eventually do it and putting it off. Also with laziness. A lot of intelligent people are also some what lazy. If you're smarter than most of the kids in school naturally, you never have to try as hard. So you develop lazy attitudes towards work. I think Michael fits into that category. Myself also. It also ties into the sport and fitness. That takes effort. Not naturally going off your intelligence. Driving like everything is a skill you have to learn. You can't just wing it.

One piece of encouragement by dad gave me was by pointing out all the idiots out there who can drive, so I have no excuse.

I think at this stage, as she was on the outer and they decided she'd be long gone. They never got to know her. So she's just an easier target to fixate on with their boredom. I am sure a lack of stimulation has a lot to do with the bitching. Estelle's someone they aren't close to and an easy target.

When people bitch of bully, they never really look at how it's really their problem or issues. It's always blame the victim.

It also gets back to the whole, who cares if you don't like someone or something about someone. There's no excuse for the nasty way of treating them. Get over it.

I think it's where Estelle is clearly a better person than most of the house mates. She isn't so petty. She isn't mean and content to let people be people. Only getting upset when people are relentlessly coming at her.

Also people like Ben, the second anyone complains about anything to do with him, he basically tells them they are being stupid and to get over it. He can't take his own advice for himself. Maybe because him and Stacey and others would realise they have nothing to say to each other if they aren't being mean at someone elses expense.

I dont care if your a uni student, genius, whatever. Not learning to drive is absolutely pathetic.

I would say, past a certain point it can be pathetic. However there is no need to turn 18 and get your licence right away. He's 26 and on the edge of being pathetic.

When people get it, its for different things. The more autonomous people are as a teen, generally the less likely they are to get their licence right away. Almost everyone I know who didn't get their licence right away caught public transport to school. They lived near plenty of PT and so were not reliant on other people. Verses those that needed their parents to drive and pick them up from school, from outies, from parties ect.

A man working in a city who doesn't want to spend money on an L's test and than petrol. He lives within walking distance of everything he needs and he can catch buses to everything else. A car for him is not necessary. Just a massive waste of money.

Plenty of people don't drive for plenty of reasons. Economic and environmental issues are probably tops.

But if your like me - I don't drive, too poor at 16/17 to learn, too poor after that to buy a car.
Then when I finally had a job & had my learners, I went through the windshield in a car accident.

You might be surprised at how many people have been in serious accidents and don't want to drive, and it's not about hurting you, you become extremely concious of cars being lethal weapons, I'm terrified of hurting someone else.

But I do wish I could drive, it's like being handicapped

“It’s time to go … Angie,” Michael says to HMs hanging out in the Bedroom. “How would that feel?” he asks.

The group take a collective intake of breath – Angie not impressed with Michael’s joke.

“And the person with the most votes to save is … Angie,” Michael tries to right his wrong.

Angie points out she was the HM with the most ‘to save’ votes last time she was Nominated. “It’d be nice to hear again,” she hopes aloud.

No, just no. This cannot happen again, I hope you are all sending those 'Estelle' texts to 199 55 999.

Or he lives in a city like New York or Tokyo or London where you can easily live your whole life without a car.

I would believe Estelle and her lavender story if she had the lavender in her head from the get go, however it appears to have started after her idiot lavender reply to Michael. Now she has adopted it as another wonderful, whimsical Estelle trait, it isn't an accident; it is suddenly there all the time and if anyone else did it you would probably be claiming they were talking to the outside world or something.

Oh look I did too I took ages and that's fine.

It's more like....with Michael he is fairly arrogant and self important....driving is a skill that people pretty much need in life at some stage, I don't see how he can be how he is and not have at least a learners licence.
That's why I objected to the worldly term.....he's got no licence and ended a long term relationship to go on a reality tv show...he also was completely surprised that Estelle has a fanbase.
I dont care if your a uni student, genius, whatever. Not learning to drive is absolutely pathetic.
Maybe, if ppl dont need to then they arent motivated.
Being a guy though.....girls surely wouldn't be impressed.
