Doctor Who

Hugh Grant? He is just so naf (as the Brits say). By now he is surely the UK equivalent of Kamahl if you take away his penchant for curb crawling.

It'll certainly be interesting for the Time War to actually be shown. It's something I've wanted to see for a while as well as Davros. If it is indeed true, it'll be interesting to see Davros killing Paul McGann's Doctor. Will we see the fabled eighth regeneration?

I don't much care for the idea of Mark Gatiss as a new Doctor nor do I like the idea of Joanna Lumley playing the Master. I call bluff on this information for now. It just seems too much like a DW fanboy's wet dream.

The Ood, Davros, Daleks, Axons, Joanna Lumley (as a Time Lord no less), Ice Warriors, the Brigadier, a four part story dealing with the Time War, Paul McGann's Doctor, the eighth regeneration (from McGann into Eccleston). Not to mention a season finale involving Donna Noble, Martha Jones, Rose Tyler and Mickey Smith, combined with the resurrection of the Time Lords, the renewal of Gallifrey AND a regeneration scene for the Doctor. All that's really missing is Captain Jack and some Cybermen...

Oh yeah, and I forgot the orgasmic explosion involving a Four Doctors special. Why not slap in Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy to make it an Eight Doctors special??? It all just seems too good to be true. Unless they're just trying to cram in as much as they possibly can.

Oh yes, and that pic of Hugh Grant on that page? It's actually a screen capture from a Comic Relief special, Doctor Who and the Curse of Fatal Death. It's not a still from Voyage of the Damned as we are led to believe.

I think she is quite old now, Meerkat.....but she was GREAT in her first few eps....an independent warrior woman....who didn't SCREAM when things went wrong:D

Well a cameo appearance as one of Leela's older descendants.

But didn't she die on Galifrey having married one of the locals?

Either way who'd you cast as Leela if the character were still
viable?

I wish Mark Gatiss was getting the role but I doubt it. The heavy rumours are all on James Nesbitt atm ... that wouldn't make me happy.

Yes i read the same thing about James Nesbitt

Well i did say "real or not real" I don't believe it's all true just thought it was a fun read, however will be interesting if any of it comes to light, the time wars would be interesting for sure.

It all sounds good .... but I doubt RTD can pull all that off.

Oh but wait, the Time War's going to be re-written? No worries, The Doctor will fix that up in .... yeah i'll shut up seeing as some of you haven't seen this years season finale.

LOL your a crack up burn :D

Hey is "Trial of a timelord canon?" as I mean it was a filmed episode
so it must be.

But one thing that has bugged me is what became of the Valeyard? isn't
he the Doctor's evil half, and as bad as the Master?

And poor Peri what harm befelled her.

The Valeyard never existed because Colin Baker's Doctor never existed.
Well I can dream at least.

Peri ended up staying with the viking/uncouth dude.

Anyhoo, "42". Set in real time (the format similar to 24) and the second best episode of the season (have I mentioned lately the brilliance of "Blink"?)

Next week is a two parter and has ties to the season finale.

Never fear, I am not critiquing you. In fact, I am grateful for the information whether it proves true or not.

I for one do not want James Nesbitt as The Doctor. Is it yet confirmed David Tennant is leaving or is it still just rumour? I would not like Nesbitt although I can guarantee I would warm to him eventually. I still stand by my desperate desire for Chris Barrie as The Doctor. He would be sensational, dammit. I will take Mark Gatiss over James Nesbitt though.

Something to make me happy here, I just found. According to Outpost Gallifrey, Stephen Moffat has said the story of James Nesbitt replacing David Tennant is a total fabrication. Thank goodness.

I thoroughly enjoyed 42 tonight. I have been waiting for this episode for quite some time and was not disappointed. It's all gold from here on out. Next week's two parter, Blink and then the three-part final? I cannot wait. Sure, I have missed The Shakespeare Code, Daleks in Manhattan and The Lazarus Effect but they can all wait until I buy the box set upon it's release in, presumably, November or December. I won't miss the next six episodes for love nor money.

It will be interesting if any of the stuff i posted comes trues

James Nesbitt i loved him oh gosh now i cannot remember the name of the show, anyway he was good and i did like him, but as Dr Who hmm no i don't think so, gosh bring back Christopher E oh well a girl can dream. I am not sure who the other two people you mentioned are, will have to look them up.

But i have a sneaking suspicsion that Rose will be back, i have no firm evidence just a gut female thing going on lol

42 is the only episode i have not seen, i started to watch the first 5 minutes and turned it off for some reason, but i had forgotten i had not seen it so thanks hankyspanky for reminding me now i have something to watch, when i stop fiddling my new laptop that i bought today. :D

OMG that was a fun episode... I liked it very much and the ending
was a great opener to next week. It's gonna be "faaantastic" to quote
Chris E Doctor.

This shouldn't really spoil too many folks but just in case I get yelled
at I'll do the spoiler thing.

.....................................................................................
I like how again the Doc has hacked his companion's mobile phone for
free extra long distance calls. How cool would it be to have a phone
that let you call anyone in any time and place. What'd you do with one
of those?

My impression is that Eccleston didn't leave on particularly good terms with the BBC folks, so I think they'll struggle (at least for the time being) to get him back even for a special.

Again I doubt it somehow. Ms Piper seems to have well and truly moved on.

The previously posted list of "spoilers" is interesting but there's some pretty big obvious untruths in there mixed with what's actually known so I wouldn't hold my breath. Besides the much discussed (elsewhere) probability that Davros will return the only real thing I'm looking forward to is the script that has the word "node" in it. ;) Moffat rules!

Agreed most of it is fancyful on my behalf :) apparantly ben kingsley is tipped to play Davros....where was Davros last seen? I cannot recall....

Quote Wikipedia....
Davros' last television appearance (played again by Molloy) was as the Dalek Emperor in Remembrance of the Daleks (1988), with his white and gold Daleks now based on Skaro and termed "Imperial Daleks", fighting against the grey "Renegade Dalek" faction. By this time, Davros was physically reduced to a head in a customised Dalek casing. Both Skaro and the Imperial Dalek mothership were apparently destroyed by the Seventh Doctor using the Time Lord artifact known as the Hand of Omega, which had been stolen by the Daleks. However, a Dalek on the bridge of Davros' ship reported that the Emperor's escape pod was being launched and a white light was seen speeding away from the ship moments before its destruction, leaving a clear route to bring Davros back in the future.

Except Rose used the power of the Tardis to wipe the Daleks from existence blah blah blah.

Unless of course there's ANOTHER void ship out there blah blah blah.

You know ... they've been extinct or on the brink of extinction now for three years. But wait! Let's pull ANOTHER amazing come back out of the vortex! Way to go RTD!

I can just see RTD pushing through all those "spoilers". I mean let's face it, if he can pull it off it'll be some of the biggest stories in the history of DW and he leaves on an absoloute high and whoever comes along after him won't be able to top it.
