...what a great post reepbot... I think that they would write it as the Doctor investigating something strange on earth and coming across Susan as you said... that would be a really good storyline to do... I always wonder if The Doctor's daughter will return one day after blasting off into space that time... that's what I love about this show... you never really know which way it will turn... there are so many open-ended storylines dating back to the very first episode of the very first season 50 years ago... cheers.

That is right, but Steven would probably try to shoehorn in River Song into a storyline than Susan Foreman.

...sadly you are probably right... lets hope that Peter Capaldi gets his way with this my friend... I couldn't handle another... 'hello sweetie'.... I just couldn't!... cheers.

i love River Song, but I have thought for awhile that it's time to move on. Her story arc was tied up in the Matt Smith era. i would like to see her again one day, but for now a classic series companion would be more exciting.
Carole Ann Ford wouldn't approve of me calling her a companion though - she always says on the DVD commentaries that she was the doctor's granddaughter, not his companion or assistant, which makes her unique.

...she does have a point there Meglos... being family is a different matter altogether... that's why it would impact on The Doctor so well... he always said that he was the last Gallifreyan alive until 'The Master' came along but he wasn't really was he?... if she was his granddaughter then she would be Gallifreyan too wouldn't she?... I can't remember her origins to be honest... didn't she say in the first few episodes that she was from the future far far away to her teachers at the time?... she must have been a Gallifreyan surely?... as I say... I can't remember... it must be this stupid 'man flu' rattling my brain lol!... cheers.

Yes, it was never stated in the black & white episodes that Susan was from "Gallifrey", which wasn't named until the Jon Pertwee story "The Time Warrior" (which also introduced Sontarans), but she was certainly not from Earth, and the implication was absolutely that she was the Doctor's granddaughter, and of the same race as him.

I was just reading that one of the old Doctor Who writers made Susan and The Doctor relatives because he thought it would be weird that an old man and a teenage girl would be travelling together but not be related.

...that makes complete sense to me reepbot... it would've looked creepy if it wasn't that arrangement wouldn't it?... cheers.

Tell me about it! I was really invested in River Song and her story but it was definitely dragged out, and also I don't think her story was even that good. In the end it definitely felt like it was only Moffat's weird obsession with her that was keeping her around.

...^^^... BINGO!... you hit the nail right on the head their my friend!... good call!... cheers.

I would love to see Julia Sawalha guest star on Doctor Who. I know she did the Comic Relief thing back in 1999 with Rowan Atkinson, but to see her in a proper series would be great.

OOoooooohhhh......!! THATS COOOOL

Oh BTW MrSticky, Does your wife share your passion for Doctor Who?

Cheers

...hahaha!... I wish!... she understands my passion for it... she understands why I get up early in the mornings to watch it Live... she understands why I buy the magazine in the paper shop... she understands why I watch repeat after repeat after repeats of the show... she'll buy me anything to do with it but she doesn't watch it I'm afraid... lol!...

...in a way I am glad that she doesn't watch it because if she did she would sit with me and talk about the episode as it unfolds lol!... when I watch Dr Who I go into a zen-like trance state and am oblivious to anyone or anything around me lol!... I won't let ANYTHING interrupt me watching Dr Who lol!!!... cheers.

I wonder if there's any truth in the rumour that Jenna Coleman is dating Prince Harry... The royals are big DW fans apparently.

...aw man!... now THAT I would like to see!... how bizarre would it be if Prince Harry did a guest appearance on the show lol!... being that the royals are big fans of the show I wonder what they thought of the Tennant /Rose/Queen Victoria episode about the werewolf and the reason for the royal bloodline?... I'd love to have been a fly on the wall at Buckingham Palace went that was shown lol!... cheers.
