Great news indeed Mr Sticky.
I have that issue of DWM but I haven't read it yet. I read them in order and I'm still on 2013!
I wonder if Capaldi will stay for the full 5 years, I'd be happy to see a long-running Doctor to rival Tom Baker.
...wow!... that would be one hell of a collection that you have there Meglos... you know what Meglos... I'd be happy to see Capaldi be there long term too to be honest...I'd like to see just how much his character develops over time... besides... it would be hard to imagine just who would be able to replace Capaldi and carry it off well enough to keep the series alive... Russel Brand?... Joanna Lumley?... Dawn French?... Graham Norton?... Craig Charles? (Lister from Red Dwarf)... lolol!... cheers.

I started buying them back in 1988 at issue 137, and since then I've found all the old ones on ebay, so yes I have them all, in several huge piles in my wardrobe where shoes or something should be....wow!... that would be one hell of a collection that you have there Meglos...

In an article I was just reading, from 2013, they were saying "NO" to the idea of a female Doctor, on the basis of it being "impossible" in the series as we had never seen a Time Lord sex change in the series. Now we have (with the Master/Missy), so anything could happen.
The seeds were sown a few years ago when there was mention of a Time Lord called the Corsair doing something like that.
If it ever happens with the Doctor, I think they could pull it off with the right actress. River Song is practically a female Doctor anyway, as was Romana II.

...can you name all of the Dr Who characters in this Sgt Pepper homage without looking below for the answers?... I couldn't name at least half of them... maybe more lol!... cheers.

Without looking at the answers, off the top of my head...
Not sure if they want names for the aliens or just the species as there are tons of Daleks there and I'm sure they don't all have names so I'll just call them Daleks, same with the Sontarans.
I think I recognised the obvious ones, and the unfamilar ones are probably behind the scenes people rather than actors/characters, which makes it near impossible if you don't know what they look like in the first place!
...I would so love to go to this... it looks bloody fantastic!... cheers.

Good news about a returning guest
The BBC has announced the return of UNIT scientist Osgood, played by Ingrid Oliver, who will appear in the upcoming series of Doctor Who.
Much to the distress of her many fans, Osgood was killed by Missy in the series eight finale Death in Heaven, with showrunner Steven Moffat asserting her death was necessary to emphasise the immorality and ruthless nature of the Master.
However in science fiction, anything is possible, and Osgood will return in episodes currently being filmed in Cardiff.
Steven Moffat, lead writer and Executive Producer, said,"Osgood is back, fresh from her recent murder at the end of last series. We recently confirmed that Osgood was definitely dead and not returning - but in a show about time travel, anything can happen."
The brilliant Ingrid Oliver is back in action. This time though, can the Doctor trust his number one fan? Speaking on set, Ingrid Oliver commented on her reappearance"As every actor who’s worked on Doctor Who will tell you, there’s always the secret hope you'll get the call asking you to come back. To actually receive that call is both unexpected and brilliant. The word ‘honour’ gets banded about a lot, but it really is, it’s an honour. Especially because I was so sure Osgood was a gonner after the last series!" Osgood will return in a two part story written by Peter Harness, who wrote last year's episode Kill the Moon, which will also feature the return of the Zygons. First seen in the 1975 story, Terror of the Zygons, the shape shifting monsters made an appearance, along with Osgood, in the 2013 50th Anniversary story The Day of The Doctor/
Also joining Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman and confirmed for guest roles in the double episode is Jemma Redgrave, Jaye Griffiths, Cleopatra Dickens, Sasha Dickens, Abhishek Singh, Todd Kramer, Jill Winternitz, Nicholas Asbury, Jack Parker and Aidan Cook.
Doctor Who series nine will be back on BBC One in Autumn 2015 and further guest cast will be released over the coming months.

...I sure as hell hope that this doesn't happen... I couldn't stand to hear the phrase... "Hello Sweetie"... one more time again... from this website... cheers.

Steven Moffat may bring River Song back to Doctor Who
Doctor Who fans could see a return of River Song in the future.
Showrunner Steven Moffat said he hasn't ruled out the possibility of bringing Alex Kingston's character back at some point in the future.
He told Radio Times: "It entirely depends on whether we've got a good story.
"It's certainly not ruled out. I have a sort of worry about keeping anybody around in the Doctor's life for too long. Because he's the Man who Leaves."
Moffat's predecessor Russell T Davies is also championing her return to the show.
"I mentioned in passing to Russell that we were probably done with River," Moffat added. "He said, 'You can't be done with River! No, no, no. Capaldi and Kingston, it's a sex storm!"

...that would be so awesome to see... I'd hope that it would be for more than one episode too... I was really moved when Elisabeth Sladen... (Sarah Jane Smith)... made a re-appearance a few years ago... the part when she said to The Doctor... "you never came back for me!... do you know how that made me feel?"... (or words similar)... it really put a lump in my throat... for the first time in my life it actually made me think of how his companions get hurt when they move on from The Tardis... it must really affect them mentally wouldn't it?... that is never really explored in the show from memory... I really hope that this happens... great find reepbot... cheers.

I remember the Sarah Jane Smith one. That was good. But just thinking of the reunion between the Doctor and his granddaughter gives me goosebumps. I mean she hasn't seen him for over 50 years. What has she been doing while living on earth? What is her feeling towards her grandfather? Why has it taken so long for the Doctor to reunite with his granddaughter? I mean, if they do write it would they write it as the Doctor investigating something strange on earth and coming across Susan? Or would they do a story where Susan is dying and the Doctor pays a visit to her while also noticing some strange alien noises at the hospital?
Plus remember this quote:

...what a great post reepbot... I think that they would write it as the Doctor investigating something strange on earth and coming across Susan as you said... that would be a really good storyline to do... I always wonder if The Doctor's daughter will return one day after blasting off into space that time... that's what I love about this show... you never really know which way it will turn... there are so many open-ended storylines dating back to the very first episode of the very first season 50 years ago... cheers.
