Fantastic interview, both charming and insightful, and he's so lovely and mindful of how precious the Doctor is.
He's going to be wonderful, hope the writing is good, 4 days, getting excited.

And by the way part 2, is 10 mins 7.30pm Saturday.

Yes all the actors for the doctor seem very conscious of their responsibility to fans, being fans themselves, but Peter just seems to be above and beyond. I love him already. Great interview (and Julia was adorable too).

When Julia Met The Doctor is on iview if you missed it (like I did).
Great interview, Julia was the perfect host and Peter will be awesome.

...I watched that interview too... it was brilliant!... I know that I'm going to embrace Peter as the new Doctor... I just know it!...

...ticktoc / Medusa and kxk... thanks for all of the recent posts that you have put up... they're great!...

...I'm a bit saddened to see that Jenna Coleman is going to be going so soon... we haven't really explored her character as in depth as we have all of the other companion's for my liking... but as Meglos says... change is good I guess...

...this image of Peter is brilliant!... he looks frizzled and frazzled but also looks so stern and authoritative too!... he is so going to make us proud I'm sure of it!... man I can't wait until Sunday morning!... cheers.

When they showed a letter from 15-year-old Peter I may have melted a little. Great interview - he's a bit lovely and the Doctor is in very good hands. :)

...hi Oswin... welcome to the Behind Big Brother forums... as you can see by the 205 pages in the Dr Who section there are a lot of us Whovians on here... I'm looking forward to seeing more input from you within hopefully the near future:thumbsup:... happy posting!... lol!... cheers.:)

Thanks, Mr Stickyfingers! I appreciate the welcome, and cheers to you as well. :)

I love Doctor Who, and I love loving Doctor Who - because we get to be big kids...

Countdown - only 1 and one half sleeps until Doctor Who dawning of the new era, squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee can't wait.

Everyone watching at simulcast 4.50 a.m?

Ho Oswin, fab name.

And I want to know - when Clara does leave,is she still Impossible? Does she still repeat and is connected to the Doctor?
Julia did a superb job, I like that the ABC seem to value her and find new things for her to do, she is very talented and charming.

And funny, how a lot think she would be the perfect host of a good version of BB, but quite rightly Julia would not touch 9's shitty packaged sitcom fake version:)

...OOOOOOOOOOH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... I so can't wait to see it... I'll be watching it Live and will be on this thread Live to talk about it too!... who would've thought a few years back when Russel T Davis revived Dr Who with Christopher Ecclestone that these events would have people sitting up at ungodly hours wriggling with excitement about the latest episode of Dr Who?... lolol!...

...what with the Symphonic Concerts... movie premiers... the cast touring in such spectacular events... it's amazing just how much Dr Who has grown in such a short time frame isn't it?... cheers.

...that's all awesome stuff kxk... thanks for posting it all up... I really can't wait for this... after seeing Julia interview him the other night I'm so loving Peter Capaldi as The Doctor before I've even seen him in a single episode!... I haven't been this excited since David Tennant took on the role!... cheers.

Not sure I'll make the 4:50 a.m simulcast (actually make that pretty sure lol), but apparently it will be on iview from 6:30 a.m so won't be far behind. Counting down (not long to go now)! :)

Pretty much Doctor Who night tonight. Part 2 of When Julia Met The Doctor, plus The Ultimate Guide (I've seen that on DVD), then the simulcast at 4:20.
