OMFG...........I hope she got paid well to do that.

Reminds me of Persis Khambata who did the first Star Trek movie as a bald woman

Anyone watching the ABC2 repeats of season one (New Who) 7.30 weeknights? Christopher Eccleston regenerated into David Tennant tonight (Rose solved Bad Wolf and looked into the Time Vortex, DW ridiculously resolved everything with a kiss, and Capt Jack came back to life/became immortal). Such a good episode, makes me remember why we all fell back in love with DW. And goodbye Lynda with a 'y'.

I used to love watching Monkey on ABC when I was a kid. Interesting that Tripitaka was supposed to be male but played by a female. Why did they do that?

I loved the flying cloud

Caught that last night too, one of my favourite episodes also, glowing Rose is awesome, so much cool stuff in this one.

And Mud, seems most DW fans are into cult stuff like Monkey, Goodies, Monty Python - discerning ABC viewers with good imaginations.

And re Monkey - during the China Olympic Games, there was a really interesting side documentary about Monkey.

It's really iconic myth stuff in China, and China has been producing some kind of Monkey show forever, and still is producing a Monkey show.
The one we saw was Japanese wasn't it? And wasn't it a bit Buddhist?

It was buhdist. Xtian just would not have worked, and not fit the time period

And if they don't give you praise I would also send it to the Doc Who mag, they actually have a fan art thing too. Great mags, seriously awesome info and great pics and articles.

...yeah thanks kxk... I actually joined the 'Gallifrey Base' website the other day (May the 31 st to be precise) on this link...

http://gallifreybase.com/forum/index.php?

...they have a section there called 'The Monopticon · Fan Artwork' wherein I entered that pic in a 'Introducing... The Wallpaper Challenge #31' competition... (no prizes you're just trying to be the best entrant so that you can set the next challenge if you wish)... it's my first attempt at anything like this so here's hoping lol!...

...as a side note I placed this image (from page 222 on the thread we're now on)...

View attachment 31118

...here is a Hi Res version to look at it even closer... just click on the link to take you to the image and then click on the image itself to see it enlarged into a Hi Res image...

...into the same website somewhere... then some guy asked a few of us whether we would like to contribute any of our stuff towards his Dr Who magazines 50th anniversary edition coming out within the next month or two and I said it was okay if he wished to use mine... he's accepted it and is going to include in the edition... (cool!)... it's an online electronic magazine rather a published on paper type one but what the hey... it's still cool with me... lol!... here is the link to the Canadian fan magazine... it's called 'Whotopia'...

http://www.whotopia.ca/

...the great thing about that website is that you can download 80 page magazines of all of the past 20 odd magazine free to be able to print them out for yourself... they also have Dr Who stories that have been written by Dr Who fans for all to read... a great site really... is it the Dr Who magazine that you were talking about kxk?... anyhow... thanks for the kind words... cheers.

...I don't know if anybody remembers this post where I stated that I submitted this particular artwork above to an online Canadian Dr Who website to see if they wanted to use it in their 50th anniversary publication... well blow my socks off they did... I'm pretty chuffed about it to say the least... here is a link to the magazine whereby you can download the 80 page magazine for free...

http://www.whotopia.ca/

...my particular artwork is on page 38 if anybody is arsed enough to bother to look...

...here is a link to a hi-res version of the artwork... (click on the image to see it in all of it's glory)...

...anyhow... just thought I'd keep you all informed... cheers.

Is it better to get series 7 as the two part set out now or wait for the full box set?

I hear they are going to include the Christmas special with the wardrobe with the funny narnia like title in the full set..

I always wait for the full season boxsets, as you said Mud Cake, they include the xmas specials & other bonus features.

Well done on having your artwork included Mr Stickyfingers. I might have a look at that link later.
