Ooh that was cool..........

Loved the cornfield....... Loved the Tesselecta.......I wonder if they just left it there like that in Germany or whether it left of its own accord? Reminded me of the failed movie "Meet Dave."

Well we learn more of what the Silence is. How River got the diary, and so forth.... I wonder if we'll see more of the Silence again and of eye patch lady.

Yep quite cool.
But.......some what weird parents, nice little trick having her grow up with Mum & Dad, but they never got to be parents and they don't seem to give a crap.
The Hitler stuff was hilarious - and he's still in the cupboard.

It was absolutely bonkers, but in a fantastic way. The River Song twist was a little obvious though.

My only gripe was the amount of free time they had in the hall...... Wouldn't that place have been swarming with nazis with the commotion River caused?

That wasn't the only problem it had......But overall it was fun

Mels - felt like Moffat backtracking and just shoving that in there at the last minute.

So, we have had a season and a half of Moffat, how do you feel about his Who?

He's not blowing my mind, and I find there are a lot of very odd story 'gaps' or fuck that doesn't make any sense, and you just shoved that in there to fix that flaw bits.

And I'm over the river song obsession.

Could do with some crazy wild rides a la RTD, at least we have his repeats saturdays too.

I'm still loving it, but I'm a fan, I love everything. I will say that it can get over-complicated, there are a few too many time-twist elements. And it is time to lose the Ponds. Not that I don't love them - but if they appear next season as well then that might just be too much. Matt Smith is unlikely to stay forever, like David Tennant he is a young, in-demand actor. So say he does 4 years - it would be a crying shame if he had the same companions for his entire era, it makes it too much of a soap opera.

Moffat is good when he writes single stories.. Like Blink for instance. But not long arcs.. And I could happily do without that annoying introduction.... It makes it look like it's all about Amy and it's the Amy show and not Dr. Who.

And while I'm at it SICK TO DEATH OF "WIBBLY WOBBLY TIMEY WIMEY" It was good in the episode they created it for. But it's become the writer's crutch to get out of a hole.

Well said MC , I could'nt agree more.

I'm sick of Amy getting exiled, and likeable tho they are both Rory and Amy - I've had enough, I want Doctor time and Doctor stories, I could do with a dash of Capt Jack or something....

I've enjoyed the "Amy arc", but I really hope she (& I guess Rory wouldn't stay without her) leaves soon. Two full seasons plus specials is enough for most companions, and just say Matt only does 3 years - it would be ludicrous that Amy & Rory were his only companions.

"sits in my secret lair...." plots to kill of Amy Pond :D The plot to get rid of Amy bwawawawa (evil laugh)

You know what would be cool. An episode on the TARDIS, not just an adventure but "a day in the life of" kind of episode where we see what they do between adventures and so forth. They did this on Babylon 5 showing one day in the life of two of the workers on the station and it was one of the most popular episodes. I think it would work for Doctor Who too.

Plus they can maybe show us some more of the TARDIS.

Does anyone else feel happy when friends get into doctor who?

Two of my best friends who are engaged finally watched doctor who and are now into it. Basically, it's a decade long friend of mine and her soon to be husband. They were away at a relatives place, watched this weekends doctor who. Now since this weekend started at the new version and already into David Tennant seasons.

This is after I got kind of laughed at for suggesting how good it is for years.

Oh yeah, I'm a big Who promoter - and it pisses me off when people won't even listen, you fools.
Why they think it will be like the old stuff I don't understand; keep telling people it/well RTD Who is/was like a awesome movie each week.
Some I have converted by sucking them into Torchwood first, Capt Jack is very seductive and it doesn't have the old black and white, corridor chasing confusing connotations from childhood.

And - can't help it I judge:
if you don't watch it - your relegated to = no taste;
if you do watch - your elevated to = good taste;
if your a fan = smart person and my new buddy;
proper whovian = ...........haven't met one face to face yet
DT fan = my bestie and I, we have our own little admiration club, we went to high school together, only realised 2 years ago we both adore the Doctor and DT..........ooo, squee, it's so cool to have a Doc Who buddy
