Doctor Who

I actually much prefer this new TARDIS interior to the 'classic' design. This one is more organic, given the TARDIS is a living thing and it is also a lot darker. The old design was too sterile for me.

As for the corridors and swimming pools and all that, we've seen very little of this TARDIS. Apart from the main chamber, we've only seen his little wardrobe section.

I hope the TARDIS hasn't had a "roomectomy"

I thought the interior was large because watching "the unquiet dead" the
other night the Doctor gave Rose long instructions on how to get to the
wardrobe. This TARDIS has stairs, and bins??

All TARDISes are alive, however the Type 40 wasn't as sentient as later models. Type 40's and their Time Lords tended to develop a telepathic bond of sorts.

Later models were capable of taking on human forms (oh how i'd love to see one on screen open up and allow it's Time Lord to crawl in through it's stomach) and actually taking on the role of companion.

The new look though is really just a progression from the movie's look. I don't hate it, it serves it's purpose and I LOVE being able to see the interior of the Tardis through the front door, i'm just far too use to the old style. :p

Do you mean like those old McDonalds ads where the kid climbs out
of the adult.....

What if your TARDIS is a female where's the door then? "evil grin" Sorry
but just couldn't resist throwing that one in.

I've enjoyed the set of the first series which I bought this weekend. No
problems with skipping or freezing episodes. There is that little gripe I posted
about regarding the bonus disk elsewhere..

One observation though in "the parting of the ways" I wonder when Rose
was speaking to the Doctor after being vortexed if in part it was the
TARDIS talking to him as in "My doctor?"

I love the new Tardis it's so art nouveau and gorgeous, hated the old sterile interiors especially when it looked like a lab.
I'm a sucker for Who mags, and the latest tells us that we will be seeing more Tardis rooms next season.

No one (unless you're immortal) can survive the vortex without some form of protection, that's what a Tardis provides.

Well it just sounds a little bit kinky that you have to climb inside
Compassion and that it looks female :)

"Kinky Who" ha ha........ Plays theme music

I wonder if she has a console room in there

BTW love the menu music on the DVDs
It's music straight from the show. Anyone know if
any of it is floating around on the net?

Well she is a Tardis and seeing as they all have a console/control room of sorts ....

Sorry Burn

I was trying to be funny and make a joke but it didn't work.....

I was thinking something along the lines of "guy walks up to compassion"

"Oi love open up and show us your console room" I guess you had to be
there ha ha :o

Do yourself a favour and pick up the soundtrack off Amazon UK. Here is where you need to go. It's not too expensive and if you enjoy the music from the show, it's well worth the purchase.

Thanks I'll look at that next week come when I get paid... and yeah I
really love the music

That is my absolute favourite Dr Who site. It's invaluable for things like where all the past Doctor novels fit exactly.

Sites great isn't it Meglos?
I found it especially helpful in sorting out titles for things I want to search ututube for, confidential episodes & other little clips.

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet but if it has sorry - In this weeks TV Week they mentioned that David Tennant may be moving on from the role of "Dr Who". Seems he has committed himself to starring in the Royal Shakespeare Company's production "Hamlet" which means Dr Who would have to be postponed until 2010. Rumored replacements include "Blackpool" star David Morrissey or "The Full Monty's" Robert Carlyle.

Now Robert Carlyle could make a interesting "Dr Who" IMO. Just have to wait and see what happens. Ohhh just one more thing how good was last weeks episode "The Sound of Drums". Love John Simm.

It was an awesome episode.. But I'll never see that song in the same light
ever again LOL

And what about that floating air carrier.. A slight nod in the direction
of "Sky captain and the world of tomorrow" I think

So ... DW finale this weekend ... new Sarah-Jane Adventures next week. Anyone else going to download?
