I think they should have even introduced more variety to the daleks. Based on the overall design, but varied in size, appearance and accessories.

Have mini daleks, daleks specialised for certain things, daleks crossed with tanks. Mainly daleks but throw in a few different ones.

How about this little fella...

That's cute.

The new Daleks are a bit too technicolour bubblegum for me, but that was the point. In DWM the designer says he was channelling the Peter Cushing movie look.

They should have designed a Dalek like the Venus probe from "the six million dollar man" Ooh that was the best episode of that show.

i think you just talked me out of my suggestion!

I think it's a good suggestion. It would be cool to see the other classes of Dalek, like the engineers, the ordinary worker class, and such.. I mean someone has to build those ships. They would all have different attachments too... I don't think they all have the sink plunger and egg whisk blaster.

maybe they should have like r2d2 a lot of internal arms, attachments ect.

I liked Donna as a companion as there was never any sexual tension/fustration between them. And her gramps was a nice touch too. I'll always remember Sally Sparrow from the 1st crying angel episode, though I think it's a combo of me liking her & being scared shitless by the angels & the complexity of the episode. I really should buy them so I can re-watch it.

Oh and HEY - are we gunna see the Dr's daughter again? I liked her. And in real life is DT still with the actress that played his daughter?

Oh you mean Jenny...... Yeah I liked her too... She is the daughter of the current producer and DT dated her while filming that episode I think. Not sure how long they have lasted or if it was just a casual thing.

No, she's actually a real life daughter of one of the doctors, Peter Davison

So she's a doctor daughter on the show and in real life.

I love Davison, he makes fantastic TV shows, about 6months ago there was a beauty on the ABC with her as one of his daughters.
Also, At Home with the Braithwaites; the Last Detective........fantastic show.

I'm not finding DW as scintillating, or I can't wait for next sundayish.
I like the new people, and it really is/was time for DT to move on, but I miss him and I miss the DT companions, and back stuff. It seems like that era was, well it was like mini movies each week, and utterly fabulous acting.

Yep. I can see what you are saying kxk. I looooved DT too. I think what has helped me like the new Dr, was that they kinda made DT a bit crazy & nasty (just a touch) It helped me to let him go. And yeah, the episodes with DT did feel like they went for longer, or were there more 2 parters that my mind has forgotten about? Plus I suppose the last few times we saw DT were in those longer specials.

I must say I am surprised at how quickly I have moved on from DT & am accepting the new Dr and I think having Amy as his companion has helped. I like the funny bits - they help take the edge of the freak-me-out bits:o:)

Oh oops sorry..........

I thought Georgia Moffat was Steven Moffat's daughter

Quote from the movie "The Losers"

Don't think. Think and you're dead. Don't turn your back. Don't look away... and don't think. Good luck.

Mud Cake - apparently Davison's real name is Moffat, Davison is his stage name.

And hell he makes some fine and funny tv, his Dangerous - the Last Detective is a cracker show, and Fear,Stress & Anger used to have me in tears laughing.
He also stars in the stage production of Spamalot - seems he never stops working.
