Donna will be FINE - they went as far as they could go without undoing the poignancy of what happened to her, if it had been a "it never happened, here are all your memories back" then I WOULD be complaining.

I'd love to see Martha & Mickey join Torchwood, Freema has turned it down before though.

But they needn't have done the "it never happened" bit. They could have just removed all the time lord stuff from her head and reset her memories so she could get that whole missing chunk of her life back... It's good what happened and all but it's like getting that stupid android in Star Trek Nemesis B4 you only get half a person.......... Still she did get her wedding and all.

Complete box set of specials

you can buy the complete box set of all the specials from Amazon $39 US No idea when Australia gets it.

Ooooooo that's cheap, got to have this and the Torchwood eps for my collection.

And the new guy isn't actually ugly, have you seen him in that BBC political thing, is it Party Animals or something, he was very sweet in that.
He is really, really tall, love long legged men, and he has utterly beautiful hands that flutter like birds in interviews - maybe why the reference in this first glimpse. Can't wait for the new season.

The ABC shop still don't know when we get it... WTF?

And the local version will be over priced when it comes I bet.

I bought The Dalek War (Pertwee) boxset & The Keys Of Marinus from the ABC shop recently :)

The Peladon one is out March 4, as is The End Of Time (but I'm waiting for all the specials together)

The Masque Of Mandragora is out April 1st.

How fun was The End of Time. Martha and Mickey. Rassilon. The Doctor’s mum. Donna’s safety catch. The Time War. Billions of Masters. WOW. I had to look up the significance of the book signing bit at the end, but it was nice once I realised. It was still a crappy ending for Donna, and it was weird how Wilfred was involved in the Doctor’s death. And I could have done without the TARDIS exploding during regeneration – unless they have a good explanation in the next episode. I wish the Time Lords had stayed – it was fun in the old episodes when the doc was on the run from them.

Sad to see DT go, but pleased that RTD has bowed out. I love Steven Moffat so I’m looking forward to some clever storylines and a little less sentimentality. And perhaps not as many aliens, spaceships and planets in, over or colliding with London.

At least Stephen Moffat can write a coherent story....

But the first season of the new series will have bloody daleks in it.

If you haven't seen the new Doctor in Party Animals it's being repeated on ABC2, tuesday nights I think if you want to check him out, it's quite a good show.

Has anyone seen Shaun Micallef's desk on My Gen? He looks like a giant Davros (though a little younger, perhaps).

^^ Agreed.

DT is what got me hooked on Dr Who. I hated it as a kid (scared the bejesus outta me:o)
One saturday nite a few years ago we were channel surfing & thought - what on earth is this show? I think it was an ep. soon after DT became the Dr. & I was instantly hooked! Last year ABC were showing the older-new Dr Who with the Dr before DT & Rose. I just couldn't watch it, it wasn't the same.

Geez I really hope this new Dr doesn't ruin it for me!

the new Doctor....

I still say, the big big issue is, he can't act anywhere near his actual age. That's what will ruin it.

Can't do the whole, oh he's young acts young but then everyone is all of a sudden surprised by his wisdom or knowledge when the time comes. He has to be an adult first, kid at heart second. Will be so hard to do. Not be just an adult when the time calls for it.

I kind of worry that it'll get too silly with the younger doctor.
