Do guys like Ed exist?

I think Ed is a bit of an idiot, and he is not good enough for Jade, but do I think he is a horrible person? No, I have yet to see him say something with the intentions of malice, yes his goes about his opinions the wrong ways at time, but who doesn't. I think a lot of this is the perpetuated 'cool vs boring' group, so they are damned if they do, damned if they don't. And this is from someone who still giggles their heads off at farts and is queen of the crank calls.

I also wonder if there is this image that he has had thrown on him and he feels as though he has to live up to it?

So sorry for not answering immediately. I have a life and had to go pick up my two teenage kids from a Birthday Party....

To answer the question...Firstly, I don't think JADE will become involved in that scene, although she may be affected by it. I have NO IDEA what Ed does in his down-time. What I do know is there is a mentality within the Footy-Players world that can be extremely disrespectful to women.

There are certainly "indications" that Ed knows how to bend the truth when it comes to what he says to Jade - whether by omission or outright lying.

Bromances often involve guys being each others Wingman - and that often can mean keeping the complete truth from the partners of mates.

BTW - I'm not trying to piss any one off, I just have a problem with Ed's Holier Than Thou attitude and Jade's blind acceptance of everything he says as God's Own Truth. It's Sad.

Like Drew said, guys like Ed are a dime a dozen. I don't even think he's that good looking... but that has more to do with my personal taste lol

Great quote...do you think this is what Ed has done? I just don't know hey... He tried to make it as clear as he could that he wasn't interested right from the start. All along, up until about a week ago, he has not really indicated that he is remotely interested.

Jade, gosh...she just never let up and I think he was in a position then where he just gave in... Too hard to fight it and he would have looked like an even bigger prick. Anyway, they are still both there!

Yeah it is a good quote hey. Truth be told I don't think Ed has done this on purpose. I agree with everything you have said actually.

I don't find Ed a catch, and have to laugh at what Drew says in the diary room about him because it all hits home for me. He contradicts himself. He said he'd never hook up with Jade, and then he did, and he knows how full on she is, but doesn't give any straight out answers back to her about his intentions which I find cowardly. And I think now he is using the situation to his benefit, whether it be just for comfort or the perception of being in couple to the Australian public. He's so uptight, doesn't look like he knows how to let loose, and picks at everything everyone else is doing, but he's done some of those things himself. I'm sorry, I think he's taken his Prince Charming label a little too seriously where it's just become ridiculous. He adds nothing for me in the house entertainment wise. The only thing I am looking forward to watching with him included is his eviction interview, that's it.

That's my opinion too. I see these guys everywhere everyday. When I was single I interacted a lot with these types too, they are a common type IMO.

Totally agree with this. He is so far gone into believing he is the good of the house and that he needs to fight the bad as his rolemofmbeing Prince Charming. I'm annoyed that they gave him this title. The girls in the house gushed over him too quickly IMO

Nothing says not remotely interested as well as dry rooting the girl who you sleep entwined with with night after night!

Sure, we can see he's somewhat lackadaisical in his responses, but she's not seeing it.

String guys/girls along.
When I'm not interested in someone I'm painfully obvious, at least they have that!

Haven't you ever been attracted to someone, but not wanted anything serious?

You can still fuck someone and not want to commit. To me it is just a normal human interaction.

No I'm not like that, it's one or the other.
And that's ok as the other person knows that!!

I have had a few friendships with benefits. And the common thread with each is one always like the other more. I have been the Jade and I have been the Ed. I just put it down to normal attraction and human interaction. To me there is nothing evil or nasty about it, it is just normal interaction.

While I respect a lot of people view sex and the emotional connection between two consenting adults as something sacred, some of us just like a romp and like to play the game. I have no issue with the way Ed has conducted himself with Jade, nor do I have a problem with the way Jade has sought her prey. To me it is all part of the game of life.

Though it must be said, while I have endured the humiliation of being the Jade, it is vomit worthy to watch it play out in the BB house. Desperation is never an attractive quality.

There's plenty wrong with what Ed is doing....he's using Jade.
Methinks you've been Ed a lot more than Jade.

Unfortunately for Ed though he cant avoid her as one can in the world. For Jade its been a canned hunt.:)

Assuming Jade was a prepubescent girl then I wouldn't hesitate in agreeing. But since Jade is a fully grow woman, it's unfortunate but the law permits stupid people to make their own decisions. As stupid as Jade is someone cannot intervene on her behalf and make decisions for her so them's the breaks.
