...I actually met Abigail at the height of her fame... I was working at a place called 'Waltons' and she arrived at the loading dock where I was working at the time (she and her bodyguard had gotten lost) and I had to escort her down a lift two floors below to do an 'appearence show' within our store in the shopping centre... I have to say that having seen her on Number 96 I was a tad bit 'excited' to think that I was so near to her like every young (I think 18 years old) fella would like to be... but...

...when I was so close to her I saw that she wasn't very pretty at all I'm afraid... the layers of makeup upon her face were incredible and in all honesty she was sooooooo far up herself... I actually plucked up some courage and said to her... "It's nice to meet you Abigail"... the look of utter contempt that I got from her as she looked at me like I was a bag of dogshit cut through me like a hot knife... it was a disgusting way to treat somebody... especially when it is me!... needless to say I never looked at her the same way again as I did before... what a stuck-up bitch!... apparently she was the same with other staff members once I had delivered her to her appointed area... not one person had a nice thing to say about her when she eventually left...

...hmmmm... methinks that you are right there Topaz... but I bet that we are a lot younger in mind than lots of people half our ages... am I right?... lol!... cheers.

...wow he had a good long life eh?... I remember seeing a documentary on him on Foxtel somewhere... boy was he ahead of his time in special effects... he did some great stuff... RIP Ray HarryHausen... cheers.
 
I love Hazel, she was an awesome woman - and so utterly likeable, in my opinion THE most likeable Mrs Primeminister we have ever had.
Sleazy old Bob was damn lucky he had that woman by his side

Yeah I liked Hazel too, I wonder did she have any relationships after Bob or did he put her off men for life lol.

...when you said that Sean I had to agree with you...then it got me wondering about other English shows like 'Are You Being Served' and of course 'Dad's Army' that you and Pecan mentioned... the only survivor of 'Are You Being Served' is Nicholas Smith the guy that played Mr Rumbold...

...the writer of most of the 'Morecambe and Wise' shows Eddie Braben dies at 82... he died last Tuesday... (I only just found it while browsing for the above post that I just posted)... on this link...

Former Yothu Yindi lead singer, Yunupingu, has died at his home in the Northern Territory. He was 56. Yunupingu had reportedly been battling kidney disease. He was named as the Australian of the Year in 1992 and was inducted into the Aria Hall of Fame last year.

Leaving your flesh behind and return to the dreaming from the presumed comfort of one's own home doesn't sound so bad but as for kidney disease, I wonder how he was being treatied for that.
