Deaths of Minor Celebrities

Enlighten me as to what that context is. :whistling:

I use the whistling smiley to feign innocence/pretending to be blissfully unaware/etc.., that is that my comments are 'said' with tongue firmly planted in cheek and not meant to be taken seriously. The way others are using (the use of the whistling smiley was basically non-existent previously) it makes no sense but I guess when the aim is too mock there needn't be any. :)

Apologies for veering off course from the main topic of the thread.

Back on topic...

Robin William's current wife released this statement:

His devastated wife released a statement following her husband's death: "This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin's family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin's death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions," according to THR.

He had been married to Susan Schneider since 2011

Thanks @bleachy_dude, I have set it to record too :)

I loved robin Williams in so many films, mrs doubt fire, jumanji, Aladdin, the birdcage, dead poets society (a wonderful movie), good will hunting, august rush, the big wedding... He was an amazing actor
Ohhh August Rush. That is such a special movie.

Believe it or not I have never actually watched Dead Poets Society. I'll have to check it out

August rush is a special film. Underrated IMO too.

Bleachy, watch it! It's inspiring. I'll leave you with this quote 'no matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world'

Not a fan of RW but he was in two of my favourite movies of all time :D 'Bicentennial Man' and 'Artificial Intelligence' (his voice anyway). His memory would live on through those films for me.

RIP

I just checked august rush on imdb and remembered that I have indeed seen this *ahem* movie before, have even recorded a rating for it as well. Out of respect and courtesy for you SG I won't disclose what I honestly think of it.

RIP Robin Williams - I was having Morning Tea with colleagues ranging in age from 20 to 73 when we heard - every single one of us, no matter what age, had a happy memory about Robin (no we didn't hold hands and have a cryfest - it was just a spontaneous thing from everyone). Like many of you, I grew up watching Robin Williams - the kiddie movies at first, then reruns of Mork and Mindy, then watching him in Dead Poets Society, Good Morning Vietnam and Good Will Hunting when I was in my teens and twenties. Even now, A Night at the Museum is one of the movies I put on when I need a pick me up. I watch Jumanji every time it is on TV.

I feel horrible, but I was just hoping it was a heart attack, anything but suicide. To think someone who made me so happy was so sad inside....

I appreciate it. Some comments are best left unsaid, especially since his death is still new :)
Oh it's nothing about RW performances in it but the movie itself is an entirely different topic altogether... :wideyed:

It was just teasing throwaway comment on your movie 'tastes' SG, nevermind.
