Episode Day 66 (Wed 2/10/13) - Live Eviction #8 (90m)

Does anyone think that Ja'mie looks like a real girl? Thought I would ask seeing as though there are so many Ja'mie gif's recently.

Yes I've noticed that as well. I think it's because Chris Lilly is such a good actor that when he is playing Ja'mie he truly becomes her or if he plays any of the other characters he has created all I see is that specific character. Can't wait for his new series.

Mikkayla is worse than Tully when the evictee gets announced! Bitch, you just said you wanna be the last girl standing so what are you wailing about you phoney piece of rubbish.

I find this hilarious. Mikkayla may want to be the last girl standing but she genuinely loved those girls and had hoped they were in the finals together. Mikkayla is a lot of things but not phoney about her friendship with the sisters. I also don't think she is worse than Tully when evictions are announced. Tully made it about her even when she wasn't close with the evictee. Yes the crying was OTT but why not comment on Ben who was also crying quite a bit? Oh, because it's Mikkayla.

I remember in the first series with her 'we can be heroes' people ringing up the radio and writing into newspapers saying that abc was a disgrace for giving such a horrible girl airtime. They didn't realise it was a guy dressed up, and thought it was a real documentary series.

Exactly right. Cos it's Mikkayla.

Exactly. Mikkayla loved those girls so I'm not surprised she was so upset. Nobody is having a go at Ben or Jade for crying. Tully screamed over the top of everyone no matter who was evicted. If Mik starts sobbing like that when Tahan is evicted (although it's likely she'll go first) then i'll say it's not genuine.

random thoughts

- the initial percentages were fascinating. essentially there was tim, then jade, then everybody else. in fact, jade was within a couple points of the pack, so really, from here on out anyone might get voted out, other than the big 2 (tim and ben)

- the tim & drew segment was cute. drew is a good wingman, but that act was pure tim. and good on all the HMs for being good sports and participating.... but once again, their golden boy, ben, avoids being seen in a possibly confronting/negative situation. i'm sure if they showed how whiny he gets at every challenge to his comfort zone he'd bleed off fans like a stocktake at harvey norman

- the jade & ed segment was predictable. there was nothing new shown, and no real conflict between the geerls, no interest between ed and maddy, and no burgeoning love triangle. but they sure spliced together every speculation from mikey, tim and tahan to keep planting that seed in everyone's mind, whilst continuing to make jade look bad.

- the mikkayla & sisters segment was cute, and I now wish they had mikkayla dress up as a sister for day. that said, it was all repeat footage.

- the dinner conversation was interesting, and I would have liked to have seen more of that segment, with fewer edits. the context for nathan's outburst from the LF makes sense here (I don't watch the LF vids, for the most part, so if that was in there previously then this would have added nothing for most of you).

that said, I am getting less and less sincerity from tim. his bit at dinner about what he learned looked more self-serving than genuine (like the interview question: "My biggest weakness? I care too much!") and even when he was talking to mikkayla on the couch, her eyes suggested she felt tim wasn't being real with her.

- fast forwarded past the succubus, but from the comments it sounds exactly like what we expected. but can I just note: why the fuck does she get a platform on the show? (edit: don't bother replying, it's a rhetorical question. there's no good reason for it, she was evicted, time to fuck off into the sunset.)

- so when you take out the vote begging as well, we're over an hour in and have seen precisely 12 minutes of new footage, 5 involving the tim & drew dayspa, and 4 minutes of dinner footage, and 3 mins of random chats. so when do they start airing the show about big brother?

- finally, the eviction... the HMs reaction to the sisters leaving was much more sombre than any of the others. I really think those girls were the heart of the house in a way that none of us saw in the edit. and I expect the mood is going to shift dramatically.

- on stage, the sisters were amazingly consistent and never hesitated. for all the accusations that they were faking it, I just can't see them sustaining it. i think they were the real deal, and it's a shame to see them go - or perhaps, more to the point, it's a shame we never got a chance to see more of them than as targets for tahan, sounding boards for jade, ben and mikkayla or the resident cooks/tanners.

- interesting that they picked jade without batting a fake eyelash. clearly the strength of that relationship was more than we've been shown - yes the edit has indicated a "girl group", but when all we get of it is mikkayla or jade decompressing to the sisters, it's difficult to understand how close they might have gotten to each of them, or how they'd pick one. Frankly, after sharing that bedroom for so long, I was surprised (and greatful) that they didn't give it to ben.

- at this point, i'd kinda just like to see everyone up for the remainder of the show. the close voting suggests it would really put some tension into things, but if nathan's up for nominations, i think we can guarantee he'll be up and won't get the votes to stay. just another reason to have not bothered with the intruders this season.

Jade fans? (Idiots)

hehehe :-P

Are you so smart to generalise that phrase? I like her because she is kind & gentle.
I'm pretty sure that my education & intelligence are not lower than yours.

Can someone please explain with the eviction tally why was Mikkayla put before Ed in the count as they were on exactly the same %?

Katie & Lucy 12.3%
Mikkayla14.4%
Ed 14.4%
Drew 17.1%
Jade 17.6%
Tim 24.2%

At one stage the three in the middle were on exactly the same %. How could that possibly be! Identical votes is rather hard to believe.

Lol so it's not just me?

Ok so I'm caught up on the thread. Whew.

Sugar sisters are out.

Mikkayla went the full Tully. Lordy that was hard to listen to.

Tahan used every muscle in her face, and possibly some industrial strength adhesive, to prevent the smile from bursting out.

Tully's interview was absolutely pointless. You're done now. Never appear on stage again. Ever.

Tim and Drew's spa experience was quite funny.

Tahan and Ben were even funnier in the diary room. Anyone notice the complete change in Bens demeanor?

All in all, not a bad result tonight. I was a bit shocked at Tim's drop in percentage tho. Jade is nearly up with him, and she is nothing more than an accessory at this point.....

Love your summarisation. Yes the spa episode was a hoot.
