They're both the type of people that have to be right IMO. They also have animosity because they're so similar and and are seeing their own less attractive personality flaws in the other and it's confronting for them.

They are similar in MANY ways. Maybe that's why I like both of them...

The issues they keep taking up with each other can be seen as equally applicable to themselves. I think they've got an interesting dynamic as a result.

David is targeting Priya and her profession, saying its a reason why she has some huge character flaw. don't expect her to just sit there and take it. David is a misogynistic fool. I never see him talking to men like this. It's only women.

Priya misunderstood imo. As a teacher, she will carry certain characteristics in the way she talks to students. David maybe didn't use the right words, but he was right in what he was trying to say. She does have a certain authority over students and there is a way you would talk to them to hold that authority. David was saying that she also talks to him like she would her students. Like you are always right and know it all, and as a teacher you should know more when teaching your students. I'm not saying David is right, but I'm saying that is what he was saying. It was Priya's choice to make it personal and put her own conspiracy to what David was saying.
