Episode Day 59 (5/11/14) Daily show

Good BB as everyone was highlighted in all the interactions. Skye showing true colours, not a "sweet li'l thang" more a try hard manipulator. Ryan unperturbed by her. Dave helping Priya cry, boys try to get to know Penny better, Leo embarrassed by Lina's task. More shows like this would be excellent!
 
Watched it late when I got in. That was a surprisingly good ep. A bit disconcerting, as I was expecting the nominations as per most Wednesdays. So it was more like a Thursday low-rater - ie a good ep - with lots of flowing footage and actual conversations!

Weird having so much of the ghosts of Cat and Aisha. Weird to find myself finally thawing slightly towards Trevor.

And bloody exciting to have my two faves shown, interacting with their usual liking and respect, so extensively. Priya has heart, and sees Skye's heart and intelligence - and as Richard has pointed out, there are no unintelligent people currently in the house. I wish others could see that - beyond the pouting and whatever else annoys them, and she can be very annoying; and has some character flaws, like all the others - I wish that others could see what I see in her. Reading all the venom spat out about Skye in the random daily thread comments that I do see makes me very sad.
 
Nominations are usually shown on Thursday anyway aren't they?
It's only because the evictions were on Monday and Tuesday this week instead of Tuesday and Wednesday and they had to fit their content in (seeing we don't get shows Friday, Sat, Sun) somewhere.

No, usually Wednesdays this season. But it's all over the shop now.

I thought they usually nominated Wednesdays but showed it Thursdays. I'm confused now lol.
Like next week there is a live eviction on Tuesday and Wednesday so we'll see noms on Thursday.

Ok here goes. I suspect I might get some fans of certain HM upset but its only my view and how I see it.

Again the show seemed to focus on Skye. She came out badly I think. The edits were attempting to diss Ryan but I think it only strengthened his popularity.
Skye got grilled over her connection with Leo, and Priya played the bit each way role. She seemed to be agreeing with Cat's assessment of the Leo Skye thing and then later bitching and appeasing Skye in the bedroom. Priya sees Skye as a chance to win it and I figure this was a way to get Skye to lose some popularity with the viewers (the 100 of us left still watching). Skye doesn't handle criticism well and when in confrontation shows her young age in these situations. Her fans still thing she is cool ,ace and that her shit don't stink, but tonight shows the cracks are forming.

Her comment about becoming attracted to Ryan is merely a game plan. She will become a barnacle and attach herself to him because she knows he is popular and could win so she thinks riding on his coat tails will get her closer to the finish line.

I liked how Priya handled the situation with Leo she was very supportive and the goddess she is heralded here was on show. But she is seen by some HMs in her own admission as a tattletale, yet she has shown loyalty to those she counts as friends.

I liked Leo tonight, the vulnerable side tonight and last night is genuine. He seems like a man who has been hurt and keeps his emotional side in check. It was genuinely shown when he had struggled with Lina's coming on to him. He looked uncomfortable of the attention. It made Skye's actions about her feelings for him and not bringing in for the dinner look even more nasty.
I have liked Skye and she has been entertaining but I have slowly lost respect for her in the past few weeks

The conversation about decent men between Lina and Priya was very revealing and as a man nice to hear that there are some women out there who recognize the issues some men have with women and that there are still decent men and decent women out there. That they are not all like that was great to hear

Lastly the conversation with Ryan David and Tom about how being in the house has become comfortable. They don't miss their phone, Google or newspapers. They have everything provided. It will be interesting how people might read that. I can certainly see how good that could be to be worry free. No worries about your rent your job and outside world. Shows that these boys are either not living at home in the outside world, or ready and prepared to go out on their own. When the house becomes your security it augers well on how they will cope once they are back in the real world.
