Episode Day 53 (30/10/14) Daily show

Leo's complaint was that it was a joke, and it was a joke. They were put in the sanctuary where they were told they would be given good food. BB played a deliberate trick on Leo, kmowing it contradicted Leo's Paleo diet principles, and hoping he would get some kind of reaction. Although the others seemed to tolerate it (and Travis actually liked it), it was still junk food. Leo had a legitimate complaint, and you are off the mark describing it as an act, let alone a "sooky la la act."
I honestly can't remember: were they told that, or did they assume?

At times they (BB) do walk a very fine line. No doubt they have their bases well covered legally (one would think so anyway because as Alex M says, producing BB style TV is "dangerous". It's easy to see that participants are egoistically seduced by BB's carrot of stardom on prime time TV.

I could have described it as a childish tantrum, but it still wouldnt have looked or sounded any better. He was acting like a spoilt brat and I repeat, he CHOSE to go into the BB house. If his body is his temple and he has such a sense of entitlement, then it might not have been a wise choice. They can't expect 5 star hotel service and meals. Its a GAME show, with a prize for the winner. Most winners have to endure a lot more than Leo is having to go through, to earn $200,000.00. The number of hours a day, that our elite swimmers and athletes put in, over a number of years to achieve gold, makes Leo's outburst look even worse. If he wasnt the favourite to be evicted before, he will be now. Then he can enjoy all the protein he wants, in his own time and at his own expense.

I can't remember them being told that they would get good food or good conditions in the Sanctuary. Because most of them had been in there before and had been treated well, I think they ASSUMED that they would get good food and conditions. I think this was the reason that Big Brother told Teflon that he DIDN'T think it would be a good idea, for him to put himself in there.

Well said! Just a small point...$$$ (well actually, a BIG point) yet so many of them say "oh I'm just here for the experience"....a nice (vaguish) answer. Guess they're just hedging they're bets if they don't win.

You see it all the time on Survivor - thenzero bodynfat guys get hit hardnbynwithdrawn. Leo isman athlete like this. He didn'tmexpect, when hisnGold Coast agent called him that doing a few weeks on tv wouldmcost himmany physical hardship. Why should it? Any show smart and lucky enough to get our Leo is going to meet his specific dietary needs.

This is how they get out Leo.

These posts are just to hard for me to read. Is it some new trendy code talk?

Yes, I dont believe that too many of them are there just for the experience, or to find themselves. I think when you go into something like this, you go in to win. I still think being yourself is the best plan. If you are a nice person outside the house, you will probably be the same inside the house. If you are a whining arsehole outside the house, I dont think the Big Brother house is going to change you, for the better.

I think a lot of them probably learn some good life experience, by having to be part of a group in a share house and mix with people they probably wouldnt give a second look on the outside. But I do think that they all go in with a plan, to win. With as much as a million dollars up for grabs in the past, if you dont have a plan, you're an idiot. As I said, I still think the best plan is to be yourself, some people will like you, some will never like you, just like in real life.

It is a reflection of life, in that the best advice is always to be yourself and that's when people are often at their best (assuming they are basically 'good' people). Then considering the need to be strategic in order win, means gaining viewer support and airtime. But they bring themselves undone when they try to hide their warts so to speak (or worse aren't aware of them) and they are flushed out, and next they are dubbed 'phony'....and don't we enjoy watching some it.

You have a funny ideology of what "ganged up" is. David baited her and somehow when lawson was trying to tell sky what he was doing skye turned on him like a Fucking piranha. Weird. It was evident she was pissed as a parrot
What did Lawson say?

I have to say, I DID have sympathy to the 2 newbies that had to endure the ice bath for 2 minutes, to get the food. That DIDN'T look fun at all. Kudos to them for not only attempting it, but passing. I still think the poor house, should have to endure the 2 minute ice bath challenge, to win their spot back into the main house. I'm not a masochist, but I dont think it should be too easy to win $200,000.00 or however much is left.

That Penny chick definitely needed some guidance on how to breathe and tolerate that ice cold. While I've never done this before, and don't know if anyone here has, I would guess that at that point you want to completely remove your body from your mind and put your mental state elsewhere during those minutes, do not let your mind connect to those needles attacking your body. Penny was shaking insanely and in panic mode...
