Episode Day 53 (30/10/14) Daily show

He is not in control of his surroundings. He is in a virtual prison, and being deprived of proper food. His reaction to the junk food is based on scientific dietary principles.[DOUBLEPOST=1414714989][/DOUBLEPOST]
Yep, supplier of junk food to the BB house. :(
What happens to his body if he doesn't get enough protein? If he has dietary requirements for his health, he can probably get what he needs.
But, the point of positive attitude he wasvannoyingly preaching is that it helps when times are challenging. And it didnt help his attitude at all.
It's too dramatic to say he is in a virtual prison, he can leave or ask for help and support whenever he needs it.
Food is an issue though. Remember Tim's ugly meltdown when they took his hamburger away during a freeze task?

^^^ THIS.

Producers/editors are so sloppy and NOT on the ball at all this season! I was almost shouting at the TV, show the neighbours the 'surf and turf', I reckon Leo would have been banging down the door to get over there.

They also missed the money shot of Ryan's face when Travis returned. Amateurs.

Yes, that work experience kid isnt working out, I dont think he will have his contract renewed next year :-). It was so obvious to me, that they ought to have shown the 'poor house' the steaks and prawns that the 'rich house' were eating. Leo's face looked like a smacked arse, when he saw the noodles, he would have been LIVID, if he had have seen next doors feast, I think Travis would have had a bit to say too.

Barring an actual health condition, which they're not going to put at risk, going without the food he wants for a day or two disrupts his chosen lifestyle, it doesn't endanger his health. Too bad, buddy; it's the Big Brother house. They're not being starved or tortured.

The one thing that stands out this episode and bothers me the most is how Leo was treated. That was honestly terrible to see Leo like that - I actually felt like crying with him. I would class that as borderline torture and for Priya to then have a laugh at his expense really showed that it's ok for to to give it but heaven forbid she should take it!

They hadnt even been in there for 24 hours, when Leo put on the sooky la-la act. He is a spoilt brat, his body isnt going to disintegrate in 3 days. He should have thought things out a bit more, BEFORE he agreed to go into the house. He is lucky, because except for the first week, when they were on shakes, I think they have only been on staples for one week. Leo wasnt even in there the first week, so methinks he protesteth too much. In other years, they have been on staples a lot more and lost the use of the gym, sauna, pool etc. Its NOT a holiday camp.

I have to say, I DID have sympathy to the 2 newbies that had to endure the ice bath for 2 minutes, to get the food. That DIDN'T look fun at all. Kudos to them for not only attempting it, but passing. I still think the poor house, should have to endure the 2 minute ice bath challenge, to win their spot back into the main house. I'm not a masochist, but I dont think it should be too easy to win $200,000.00 or however much is left.

I think the editors missed the money shot. They should have shown the housemates next door, footage on the large TV screen of the the main house's surf and turf barbecue and those nice rump steaks, while they were eating their $2 pot noodles. Leo would have been cursing, he will probably nominate Teflon anyway, as I think some of the others next door will. If this happens, some of the newbies might avoid being up for eviction, the following week.
They are useless :) I was thinking this as well... Especially considering Ryzo was cooking the BBQ, that in itself would have sent Leo into conspiracy overdrive..
For such a staged & stunt driven series this year they are fairly consistent in stuffing it up... What do they do when drafting up these ideas ?? Just have the idea then roll cams, action ?? Don't they discuss the what if's ?? Seriously, these guys are twats....

I feel bad saying this, as I'm American, but Leo's accent (yes I know he's Canadian) sounds strange and a little harsh even to me. Now I know what I might sound like to you guys should I ever get to visit Australia. Makes me sad.

His accent seems perfectly normal to me.

You have to remember that Leo has been here for 7 years and his accents is a bit of a hybrid. @Mrs Butterface posted her voice in the voice thread and she sounded great having also lived in many different countries. I think it just depends on the person, on one hand Leo sounds horrible, but Mrs B sounds great.....
If you ever did come here, don't fret you won't be sounding anything like Leo to us.....

Because she was probably in pain?
I felt awful watching penny and seeing the others all laughing at her.
I'm ridiculously sensitive to cold, I don't think I would have been able to do that challenge if I was in her position.
Unfortunately there are quite a number of people who enjoy watching others in pain.

I just get the impression that they arent filmed 24/7 any more. Its all so casual and they miss parts that used to be regarded as important, like doing the shopping and the entry of new people used to rate a show all of its own. Now they send in 4 new people to no fanfare or introductions at all and they wonder why the audience doesnt relate. I'm glad we havent had to endure them doing their washing this year. If Leo cares about his body that much, that he sulks after one day, I dont know how he would have survived the era, when they were eating KFC 3 times a week.

To be honest, I can't distinguish between an American and a Canadian accent. I was born at Wednesfield near Birmingham in the UK and have whats described as a Brummie accent. Even though I have been in Australia for MANY MANY years, as soon as I open my mouth, people wouldnt know that I was now an Australian and have been so for MANY years. I dont think accents matter, they give us all a bit of individualism. I'm happy I'm not the same as everyone else. People can either take me or leave me, it doesnt bother me, either way. Ozzy Osbourne was born at Aston, Birmingham UK.

Leo's complaint was that it was a joke, and it was a joke. They were put in the sanctuary where they were told they would be given good food. BB played a deliberate trick on Leo, kmowing it contradicted Leo's Paleo diet principles, and hoping he would get some kind of reaction. Although the others seemed to tolerate it (and Travis actually liked it), it was still junk food. Leo had a legitimate complaint, and you are off the mark describing it as an act, let alone a "sooky la la act."

I could sit and listen to him pronouncing: about, house, mouse and other like sounding words, all day. :x3:

That said, the same applies with the actor Tim Curry, especially when he played Frank n furter in Rocky Horror.

She spoke the truth! We where all thinking, tell it to him baby, we know you can think of that, even though you don't know who big brothers' favouritist is , like now, yes, yes, you said it girl well done awesome you thang!

Lawson *stumped* and desperation to divert the topic.

Haha, yep I agree, she truly gave it too him and doesn't the truth hurt!!! Cornered him a beauty with a lot of heat that delivered viewing 'GOLD' as mentioned somewhere. Interesting to observe how different people handle their emotions when feeling attacked and needing to defend. Skye went for the jugular (no judgment about this eitherway), where as Priya (just a top of mind example) handled the pool incident quite differently when she was undoubtedly feeling similar. I guess emotional maturity is in part at play and the manner of delivery - rather than the message itself. Ho ho, the fun of observing a 'social experiment' on TV and talking about it on social media :)

Aww don't be sad! Perhaps he sounds harsh to you because near all other accents (sans Priya and Aisha) on BBAU are relatively "ocker"?

Did I miss something? Didn't Leo (the Little Prince) sign on for the show?
