Episode Day 45 (22/10/14) Eviction #8 or cash self-eviction of Traisha

I am glad it backfired on them too. Pushing Aisha and Travis to take the money just to save Jason was one of the most bizarre things I've ever witnessed on BBAU. I don't care for Travis or Aisha that much (though I have been warming to Aisha, and I don't dislike Travis nearly as much as I did a few weeks ago...), but that was just an awful twist, and so blatant too with the reasoning behind why they did it. Hey producers - maybe if you didn't hold so many fucking double evictions all the time, you wouldn't be losing so many of the more interesting housemates so early on into the series. The constant desire to have an "EVENT" almost every episode as a cheap gimmick to draw viewers in has backfired and has helped to destroy this series.
Well my feeling of why Trav and Aisha decided to stay in the game is more in line with what you're thinking! lol.. He seems to react in the same 'wtf' fashion as most of us to a lot of BB's decisions this year..

I also feel that Travis knows there's a risk and is willing to take a chance. He still stands a chance, though.. Remember the last month of evictions and such also boils down to what happens in the house. It's hard to know 100% right now who will win without knowing what occurs.

that drives me nuts, same as when Lawson blames his cat situation on his age.I was married at 23....they are adults ffs
Not everyone wants to settle down that early. Loads of people (including myself) like to get the opportunity to travel and discover ourselves and our place in the world well before settling down for good.

The point is that at 23 years of age you are an adult. A 23 year old sitting the in the diary room using his age as an excuse for douchebaggy behaviour that he has no intention of stopping is ridiculous. He knows what he is doing is wrong and hurtful. It's a character flaw - nothing at all to do with age.
He'd be better off just saying "I'm a dickhead. I like Cat's boobies and Candice's boobies aren't here. Also did I mention that I'm a dickhead? SORRY NOT SORRY *magic*"

in previous years by now Mr Crimmy had been tempted over to the dark side ... and I'd come home in a mad rush to find that he was already sitting watching BB without being 'forced to watch this crap' ...
this year - no dice
geez - wonder why![/QUOTED

Darlin', why are we watching? I wonder what it says about us?

You should be money driven Travis. Your combined earning potential is $3.20
If they keep taking from the final prize money, $3.20 is probably still more than the winner will take home

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS *unrinates wee and blood out of excitement *
You really should see a doctor about that :p

So Aisha and Travis they don't care about the money. Then why should we vote for them to win if they don't think money is that important?!!!! Derp!!!!
Because voting for them to win means they'll stay in the house as long as possible, which is what they would want given they are just there for the experience...apparently.

True that yeah.. So I can see why people are saying that we don't know his reasons for doing what he did as we don't know much about his relationship, nonetheless, he is acting in front of Australia and I sure as hell doubt that the Australian public are going to warm to a guy that's just cheated on his gf of 4 years on the outside world, and openly admits it without any sort of ongoing guilt.. He is a very stupid young man, it is beyond belief that he threw away all that prize money for a short term fix and a display of indecent morals in front of Australia. And I doubt their relationship together is built to last, even though Cat is such a ditz she can't see through him, she has not shown a moment of doubt about her feelings and their status.

By the way, I don't think he even wanted to apologize to Candice in the diary room. I'm pretty sure that BB brought him up himself and asked him if he had anything to say to her. Without that he wouldn't have said anything!

Yep, totes agree with all of this. He is going to feel very stupid when he realises just how popular he was before the Cat bullshit. He could have won the money, then sorted out his current relationship and the Cat thing on the outside if he had played his cards right.

I also think BB is doing his part to coax out dem tears. ;)

Lawson lost the Big Brother game as soon as crazy Cat set her eyes on him. Lawson's only hope was Cat leaving in the early weeks.

Credit her with moving in on Travis, getting Aisha all jelly was a good device there. I think that's the best thing she'll ever do on the show though.

Which could have been a lot more interesting, if Aisha had have taken the money. I'm pretty sure that when Travis was called to the power room and the situation was explained to him, that he told Aisha she should have taken it (the $20,000) and he said he would have moved on to Skye :-). I still believe the adage that many a true word is spoken in jest. She also seemed keen to want to take it, when we saw snippets from the Sanctuary footage. She said she had never had $50,000 in her life, the most she had had, was $3,000. She already had $20,000 from the dancing competition, courtesy of Lawsons generosity, which she still doesnt seem to appreciate. Travis said that he isnt bothered about money, thats not the response of someone with their whole life in front of them, that aspires to own their own home etc. IF and its a BIG if, Traisha did make a go of things on the outside (which I very much doubt), $70,000 would have gone a long way towards a deposit on a house.

Such an emotional eviction interview with Jason.

Like Sonia said "we are proud of you as a proud gay man Jason"

His family love him. I hope this experience makes them closer to each other.

I Love how unpredictable Jason was on the stage!!! :woot:

Hey, I'm trying to follow along with this thread while I'm watching on YouTube. What's the approximate minute to page ratio?

Where have you been lately? I have not seen any of your posts for about a week..... I thought you might be one of the many people who have just given up. Well thank god you are back!

They should have let Priya actually choose a housemate instead of picking someone based on a casual comment. Offer it to someone who hasn't already won money and who is actually significant in the house. What a waste of a really good idea.

that's fine,it's good to travel when you are young or old for that matter but not to blame all your mistakes on being young

I think it is fabulous you had your life so under control by 23, but as people, we are all different.

For example, when I was 23, I was in the midst of a herion addiction, homeless and with a snot laden fatherless 3 year old on my hip. Thankfully my poor choices at 23 don't forever define me, but it demonstrates that as "adults" we can at times make very very poor choices due to our age and our life experience.

Lawson is flawed. Lawson has made some REALLY bad choices and that is okay. We live, we fuck up, we reflect and we learn.

I'm sure you didn't blame it on your age though.Hubby and I were married but things were far from under control it's been a struggle
he was retrenched and two companies we worked for liquidated. We now have our own business but it only happened over the last five years or so and it isn't easy.Life is hard you make mistakes and you just have to pick yourselves up and carry on the best you can and hopefully you have a strong support system that holds you up

I'm on holiday in the states, so I'm not able to live post. But I've been catching up on youtube and just wanted to say, YAY Sandra left! and YAY Travis and Aisha didn't leave. Also did sonia just sneakily do the old "cunt" drop at the end of the show with that C U Next Tuesday?
