Episode Day 31 (8/10/2014) Daily Show & Nominations

There's a few things with tonight's episode.

The whole Sam and Aisha thing. Firstly Sam was being overly rough and stupid as a form of revenge because Aisha wasn't gracious enough in her role in the hotel task. There's been an undercurrent through out the task of them trying to be jerks back to the guests and this was just after they're all complaining about Aisha. Further the whole, 'it was just a joke, they shouldn't get upset' is essentially the immediate go to defence when someone is a bully. It's not recognizing the position of the person upset. It's a narcissistic and unhealthy attitude to hold that lacks any form of empathy.

My biggest damn issue with the whole thing was Aisha saying she feels bad for feeling bad and everyone essentially nodding and being like, 'yes.' That is no alright. She doesn't have to feel bad about feeling bad. No one should act like that is ok. I can't even really think of the words to express what I want to say, but the idea that a victim feels bad for the perpetrator or bad that they feel bad is a completely unhealthy attitude to accept and I was disappointed that no one in the house expressed this. Someone should have said, 'you don't have to feel bad at all.'

Now the Travis thing, I don't see what the fuck Travis did wrong. He wasn't all strutting and confrontational. I think Sam's reaction to it really had to do with the fact he didn't want a stronger person, a more dominant, assertive person than Aisha standing between him and her. Travis would have been wrong to have taken the attitude of letting it slide. Someone he cares about was upset, who the fuck wouldn't want to take a bit of that on board and stand up for them.

Sam's attitude after this whole thing, he's gone way down in my books. You just admit you did something wrong, it wasn't intentional and move on. Instead of trying to deflect onto Travis because you don't want someone more capable of standing up to you in the way of you doing what you want.
I agree with a lot of this. I'm no fan of Aisha or Travis but they copped a lot of flak on here and by the HMs. Everyone has the right to say they don't like how they're being treated, even if it's after the incident which as Aisha explained she felt she was in shock. I think Aisha was going along with the gag until the rough treatment by Sam. And I think Travis handled himself well albeit a bit OTT, but he meant well. It's not like he went all out macho on Sam.

I have to say the one good thing about recent house drama is that at least we have seen less of Sandra panting over Sam. Sure we still have to put up with the vapid mooning... but still it's better than what we were getting.

Noms,

Sandra.. give me a break... Her example of what Travis should have said about the soggy burger would have gotten more evils. Look at how they reacted to Aisha wanting her dinner in the microwave for a few more seconds to be warmer. When you saw the 'soggy' comment combined with a jokey tone and then saying how good it was... Then the Skye thing, once again a joke... Some of these housemates really have an attitude with the task. They are unhappy they aren't being waited on and when the guests joke or play with it, it's not acceptable. Of course the staff can be as rude and fuck around as much as they want.

Surely they failed the task.

Travis nominating for the pancakes seemed silly, except for the fact they were deliberately making it as unhealthy as possible.

Amen. Totally agree. You said everything I was thinking

Tables have definitely turned. Sam and Lawson looks pissed as bahahahhahahahhahaha well they can suck balls

....I'M DYIN'...the temptation is killin' me....i need to know... who is up????.....

So right on so many levels..

Agree. I haven't been a fan of Travis at all but thought he handled the situation with Sam really well. Sam is playing them hard. I did feel bad for Aisha. As for noms, obviously Cat would be safe holding the HOH power. I'm hoping that it's between Sam, Sandra and Lawson for eviction.
