Episode Day 14 (21/09/2014) Big Brother: Sunday

The show tonight has shifted some paradigms for me regarding BB.

For the first time ever in my BB history (starting at the original)I've decided that I'm only gonna watch the evictions from now on.
I know all the HMs now so I don't need to watch the `episodes'....

...I don't care for the soap opera bull shit that Alex is feeding us - I think he's a Neighbours/Home and Away producer wannabe.

I'm sad that it has come to this - I'm not gonna completely give up on BB but for now I'll just watch evictions in case some of that BB magic that might evolve out of Alex's mismanagement

The interaction between Jason and Dion is actually fascinating to me tbh. I mean that. I would love to see more of their conversations together... or even conversations re: Dion.

Like I said, it can't just be me who thinks that it's not a common thing for someone like him to be THAT cool around such an openly gay guy like Jason? It makes me like Dion a lot more too. There was a shot of them in the Power room on Monday when Dion just casually had his arm around Jason while Sonia was talking to them. I just want to know more about them! I hate that we get to see so little of the HM's in a natural environment!

Yeah i saw that too!! He seems to really like jason and i think they are getting along sooo well.
Dion is actually coming across as a good guy with the way he is with Jason, completely opposite what i thought he would be.
Jason it really funny and dion seems to really like him. And its sooo good to see that!
They probably do a lot of funny things..we just dont get to see it.

The response on Twitter to this episode is very polarised.

But there are definitely a lot of people who thought it was a great episode.

:hungover:
probably only because they wanted to see Tim stirring and they got that
if that's the height of their expectations then they didn't have to reach to far to deliver it to them

Summary of tonight's show in 6 words: NONE OF US ASKED FOR THIS!

have you seen the pic of David without the beard that's doing the rounds? maybe half the female population of the forum are going to be tuning in for that reveal just to see if that photo was a fluke or not!

I know it's going to generate interest, and will probably deliver solid ratings, but since when should interest in Big Brother be generated by one of the housemates altering their appearance? It's so superficial. The compulsion to tune in should be to see how events/conflicts/relationships in the house and between housemates unravel. The events, promotion and interest should be generated from the housemates themselves, and require minimal effort on the part of the production team. Relying on stunts like this to keep people interested is very difficult to sustain in the long run - it's symptomatic of a dying show. We saw the same thing in BB08, with the Pamela Anderson and Carson Kressly visits. They are going to burn themselves out eventually.

It's such a shame that we don't, because I feel the same. I just wanna know more about the REAL stuff - from all of the HM's!

From watching Peter Abbot on Reality Check last week it wouldn't surprise me if BB struggled to recruit decent staff to the show. The editing this season has been woeful. The cut to episode length probably has something to do with it - there's hardly been any footage of extended meaningful conversations where we can get to know the housemates better. It's all 60 second bits chopped up and thrown together like a raw meat salad. The best part of the whole series so far has been the Tim and David convo and even that was spliced with other footage. Someone hire a new editor!!!!!

what are you basing this on? the fact that Cat kissed Lawson in a game of spin the bottle (or whatever they called it) in the spa? It wasn't even a real kiss but more of a MWWAAAA which they looked to be approaching in a Ok Here We Go fashion rather than OHHH YEAHHH BABYYYYYY WE'RE INTO THIS!!

are you expecting them to do a "no sorry I can't kiss anyone - I'm sitting this game out" not even Mr StraightEdge Dion said that and he would have been the one person I would have expected MIGHT

I was more basing my statement on the obvious play fight flirting Sandra was trying on Sam when they were laying next to each other in the room. Everyone in the house (and public now) is aware she has feelings for him and me personally, I would be very uncomfortable watching someone try to put moves on my partner. Although there is obviously the element of trust where you know your partner wouldn't reciprocate I just feel it's kind of like dismissing the relationship by flirting with a taken person whether it real life or in the BB house. It makes me feel as if the person perpetuating the flirting has zero respect for the relationship.

and did you blame Tully rather than Drew for their relationship in the house last year? or did you apportion the responsibility equally?

just saying ...

I thought they were both disgusting in their behavior to be honest. I am aware I was more vocal in my dislike for tully but tbh that was due to me just finding out I had been cheated multiple times and it was a bit of a touchy subject lol

G'day Guys, hope everyone is well.
When I auditioned with David in Sydney in April this year his beard was in its early stages lol
He only had a small beard then so it's going to be funny seeing him without one.
It's been interesting watching him this season. Some observations so far after getting to round 3 with him this year in the audition process and so far watching him this season:
- He is actually a lot funnier than what has been shown so far..
- He is a thinker and actually intelligent
- He's definitely quirky and that's what has probably been most evident so far.
I think as the season goes on and the linger he stays Aust is going to get a soft spot for him and he'll start to grow on people.
Cheers guys

He is everything I thought he would be, thank you for the CONFIRMATION.

Now, have you heard of Prisus?....

Bit of a stretch to say "everyone in the house".

Her conversation with Sandra was the first time we've seen it brought up.

I think it's a bit much to categorically say Lawson knew at this point.

ffs I'm not going to kiss you....but I don't want to go out there yet because I'm enjoying leading you on so lets stand behind the door....I'm such a bad partner, it's not going to happen (he walks away) but don't walk away because I'm still loving the attention and I'm still pretending to be holier than thou so i'll just jump on your back and suggest we sleep together here in the dressing room...but I'm such a loyal person.

Get fucked. Hooking up with someone who is not in a relationship with someone that is no longer your 'pair' is less painful than dragging it out because you want to make a bigger deal of it than it is because you want to be a fucking martyr that is going to sit on his fucking face anyway, so stop pretending to be all "I can't" when we all know you are going to and making something of it when it would normally just be a minor blip. Oh skye wont be happy.. but so what, lets make a point of skye not being happy before we finally get down to it just to make sure everyone is aware of how kind I am by dragging it out and making more painful and stupid than it had to be.
