I suspect heavy Ten meddling.

The early YouTube marathons when the social media team was highly active and chatting with people, they were making all these big promises and they made it clear they were on the production side of things. Not the network. At some point, the SMT lost interest and I assume thats when Ten started changing things up and the passion that was there evaporated.

The SMT were being careful when they were making promises to only comment on things they knew for sure (at the time) were happening. I can't imagine all the promises were being made by them when there was no intention to follow through. Given they said they couldn't comment on other things because it hadn't been determined yet, would be weird to be making false promises while avoiding others.

One thing I specifically remember them saying was the all the producers for 2025 were from the early OG era. Looking at what we've gotten thus far, no way that is true. I think a bunch of people got culled (or left) and cheaper replacements came on board due to Ten demands.

I'd argue that this cast is incredibly incompatible/unlikely to land on any kind of romance. That said, attraction is a natural part of the human experience, and we've seen it pretty much every season since the first.

The only person orchestrating any kind of romantic subtext in this house is Hoggy. She's fabricated her situation with the knuckle dragger, and she's tried (and failed) to produce Cocomo.

Ed and Mia is painfully one sided.
 
How much more can they wring out of these showmances?

I'm not sure they know how to build any other storylines. Is it just going to be constant will-they-won't-they from here on?

Tonight on Big Brother... we know they broke up 2 weeks ago and are no longer speaking to each other but will Colin and Holly get back together?

And how much longer will people stay interested if that's all there is to the daily shows?
 
Screeching in! I'd say I'm ready to be bored to tears, but I've somehow managed to see Wicked For Good three times in less than 24 hours so all my tears have well and truly dried up. 🤣 But I'm back... and ready to be collectively disappointed with you all!
