Episode DAY 11: DAILY SHOW (90m)

I don't understand how people can compare Tully and Estelle. I wasn't a fan of Estelle's, but I still respected her for being lovely and not talking about anyone behind their back.

Tully is a moody, broody and nasty girl. I think she deserved to go back over to the halfway house, and M picked Tully instead of Heidi - then we would of seen how nasty Tully can get.

I would have picked Ben to go in the half way house just imagine the meltdown!
Matts an interesting fellow. Questioned Tahan for laying next to Caleb and then said he would be angry with his girlfriend if she did that, then he was happy to have Jade flirt with him!

seemed like a bit off a chauvinistic double standard

Did anyone else not have internet connection for about 2 hours? I'm with Dodo - does that answer my question? Better episode today but that pisses me off how they replaced a housemate for eviction. This episode made me hate Jade even more and start to love Caleb even more!

I know, right! I loved Jade at the start but to be honest I'm kind of turning off her. She's hardcore flirting with Matt even though she knows he has a girlfriend. Poor form, Jade. Poor form.

could he be playing the game?
- start off a bromance with caleb - tick
- fly under the radar - tick
- get the super power or whatever it's called - tick
- flirt with the girls - tick
- subtle suggestions here and there e.g. tahan re flirting; tully re mikkayla - tick
- but then retreat and watch from the sidelines = master stroke

I was thinking the same thing. He knows what he is doing.

The live feed yesterday regarding the Matt/Jade flirting said they were both jokingly flirting, although the edit tonight seemed to me to start in the middle of something and I'm curious what Matt's contribution was that led to what we saw Jade saying. I wouldn't be surprised if he sat the scene up

Ben was pretty crap at that assistant job. Late with excuses, fiddle farted around. When he called Drew and Tim to milk the cow and Tim said he thought it was a lady, I nearly lost my shit. Seriously, I think we can all see why Ben has no job

so the twist of swapping someone between the houses, im guessing this will happen each week while the wall is up?

even though i kinda like ben, he's no Benjamin when it comes to these tasks.

Ben trying to wake up the HW housemates just cracked me!

I know, right?! And to then tell BB that he doesn't think he's suited for the job? WTF? It's only been 1 day!

This was a better show than last night. loved the swap between houses. I think I going senile - Tim is growing on me - so much so that I just put in a few save votes for him - not sure wether I just want to see more drama to keep the show worth watching or I'm actually starting to like him

quite possibly the best show of the season... and it's lucky, because last episode was quite possibly the worst. random thoughts....

- i felt like most of the show was watching interactions and getting to know HMs - even the challenge/tasks sequences were less about the tasks than the HMs interactions/reactions

- except of course for Ben. Ok, not only am I sick of him, but I'm convinced he's an actor - he's a character created for sketch comedy and that's the twist. ben's just slipped too many times into his deep voice (unintentionally), and his actions aren't always of someone naive

- case in point, when he had to hand the phone to a HM tonight, when Mikayla was the only volunteer, he snapped "cord won't reach" without even a delay. he's switched on and playing everyone, especially us.

- tully has issues around emotional awareness (hers) and change impact. the swap between heidi and mikayla tonight had nothing to do with her, but she was straight into a tanty. she won't last long - the voters won't try to save her very hard, or she might even bail

- tim is obviously playing everyone so hard, it's even more ham handed than ben and mike last season. once again, i'm asking myself how nobody can see it.

- case in point, i loved his attitude to the switch - it's just a shame it's calculated to be the best option to get support from viewers. but I admit, he won points with me for it.

- rohan is a dead fish. seriously, the guy is all talk.

- i don't know if the meat heads spent the WHOLE day in the kitchen, but seriously, you didn't just get back from 39 days in the jungle on survivor - you were less than a week in the half-way house and still got out for group meals a couple times.

- dammit, the Laties are growing on me

- i even mostly liked the nominations twist. first the bad: I still don't like that they are nominating "publicly" this way (ie mikayla "picking" tim, and now tahan "picking" heidi and saving miki). the good: I love seeing the HMs shocked and reeling, and I love seeing the reactions - that's what I watch for. put normal aussies in unreal situations and see the test of their character. the uglY: dammit, alex, would it have killed you to tell us tuesday? or wednesday, that this was coming? WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE IN ON THE JOKE YOU DUMBARSE. We don't give a shit about your twists, we give a shit about the HMs responding to them. give us the joy of anticipation by telling us before they happen.

- i don't like the tim influence on miki. she says she's not going to change, but wearing tim's persona IS a change.

- great to see heidi bawling like a toddler who dropped her ice cream. it's karma for her jabs at mik and tully for crying earlier in the week

oh, and one more:

- seriously, drop the "no nomination talk" rule. everybody was breaking it tonight. how no one was pulled up is beyond me.

even though i kinda like ben, he's no Benjamin when it comes to these tasks.

Benjamin would have been in his glory to do that job.

And it would have been funny for BB to continue with the tradition of Benjamin being 'sacked'.

ben's just slipped too many times into his deep voice (unintentionally)

I have noticed that as well, one was when he was dressed at Tim & has said something to Sharon.

Also last night in the diary room with Tim.

Trust the fist episode I don't watch to be one that everyone thinks is good. Dare I give the show another chance?

sadly though not only is tully mean, her fans are meaner and agree with her. why all this hate against mikkayla. she didn't choose to be saved.

Exactly... just like the Estelle fans last year being so aggressive and they were all like 12... ridiculous.

Just caught up. Great episode tonight. Huge improvement on last night, not perfect, but better.
I fell in love with Tahan tonight. Perhaps I would have earlier if I got to see her more naturally.

I wonder if anyone was reading our posts today. I did think they would have had some 'ratings crisis' meetings today.
