David Appreciation Thread

So disagree, it wasn't PG, gory for prime time, unique idea and they were ace zombies! You warmed to the characters like actual people on BB I reckon!

Everyone watch and decide ;)

Seen it and too be fair the only interesting thing about that zombie mini series is that it is set in the BB house.... other than that it plays out like most other zombie shows.... oh but it was made by Charlie Brooker who also made the show black mirror which feature Tobias Menzies:inlove: in the waldo episode.... just thought I would put that out there.

My favourite parts of that interview of jump-in were where he said he learnt a lesson that you can clean the slate and start again - it showed that he and Lisa really did move on from their argument. Also that he took the Chloe thing in good humour which I knew he would.

I think with Priya, he respected her strategy but towards the end I think they both pressed each other's buttons which is why it was a two-sided bickering thing. I just think that within the game context they clashed, but I wouldn't be surprised if they caught up and were friendly outside the house.

lol his comments about Skye pretty much showed that they were just 2 completely different people. I have to admire the way that he doesn't hold back in replying and you always know that what you see is what you get.

agree 100%

He doesn't think about it, he just says it. straight shooter all the way. I like that because you get genuine reactions and you can read the persons face so well, which is fitting because an image to go with what they say is even better imo. Genuine guy and a very understanding person too. He highlights he does not always get along with certain people but does not actually put them down as people if you know what I mean. Gosh I am going to miss this in the house.

I'm just saying that .....
just like most other zombie movies or shows everyone ends up turning into a zombie by the end or are dead... I still enjoyed it and it really just is a feature length film split into 30 minute parts for television and it aired in the UK where they are not so censored on television like we are.

Hi all, my first post and it's a question that's been bothering me since yesterday when I started texting votes for David again after Leo's eviction. If the voting lines were only paused/frozen for Leo's eviction and all the votes prior were still valid for Tuesday's eviction why would I get the text reply that you always get when you first vote in a new voting period? Hope that makes sense...I'd hate to think that David's votes weren't carried over once the lines reopened. Probably just a new poster's naivety!

I'm a sucker for a good zombie movie...and combining it with BB was a no-brainer for me...when I decided to watch it a few years ago. I actually thought it was pretty damn good. Loved how well Davina got into her role!

So keeping my avatar with those 2 idiots didn't work out... I was a fan of them at the start as a pair but as you could tell on here when I started liking Dave cause he was unwittingly offending people as I do myself, I didn't change my av because 1) I tend to jynx the people I publicly back 2) you become a bigger target for crazy fans of other people (cough Priya). So yeah David was my favourite HM don't judge me on my avatar. I was hoping to reveal this after he won, oh well.
Bolded part made me laugh like a psycho!!

Big Brother evictee David Hodis says some of the housemates treated him like a doormat

IT took weeks for Big Brother’s latest evictee David Hodis to find his feet after a very rocky start in the reality television competition.

The 31-year-old radiographer from Sydney was frozen out by many of his fellow housemates who found his brand of honest truth a little hard to cop.

And it wasn’t long before he became the butt of the joke, he said.

“It wasn’t easy and I was made a target there for a while,” Hodis said.

“I’ve got pretty thick skin but if you constantly wipe your feet on the doormat it’s eventually going to wear thin. It was hard to cop some of those situations.

“Speaking to my family last night, they said it was really hard for them to watch me be subjected to some of the things I was. It was pretty rough.”

He points the finger at Sam, Sandra, Lawson and even his closest mate in the house
Ryan as the main instigators of a culture of harassment.

“They really stirred me and didn’t ease up. Although Ryan would always say he was just kidding and that I should let him know if things went too far.”

But Hodis reserves his biggest spray for schoolteacher Priya, who he said will “stop at nothing to win” — including nasty behaviour.

“I picked up on it early, her whispering in people’s ear about me to try and get turn them on me. She was trying to get rid of me.

“I’m competitive but I wouldn’t throw anyone under the bus for a game but she is ruthless. She would sell her soul to the devil to win this game, I reckon.”

When the housemates’ loved ones were allowed to nominate on their behalf last week, some big revelations were made — including Priya’s manipulative tactics.

Hodis said it had sparked a shift in how the other contestants viewed her and will harm her chances of winning.

“I’m hoping we’ll see the demise of Priya in the coming days. She has shot herself in the foot.”

Things eventually settled down for Hodis, who was dubbed “Strategy Dave” for his analytical take on things, and he says he was able to more enjoy the experience.

The winner of this year’s Big Brother will be crowned next Wednesday and Hodis believes it’s a two horse race between Ryan and Skye.

“Anything could happen. Travis could take the cup and I wouldn’t be surprised. He’s a great guy. It’d be well deserved. He’s lovely — a little bit simple, but a top bloke.”

Boom Bitch.

I think Priya has harmed her chances of getting a full time teaching job.

Her co-workers wouldn't want to say anything to her, as they know she would bitch about them. (though they probably knew)

DAVID Hodis hopes to regain a sense of normality after more than two months in the competitive, pseudo-reality of Big Brother.

The Sydney radiologist was evicted last night, narrowly missing out on competing in the reality show's final week.

"I need to refresh my brain. My brain has seriously gone to mush," Hodis told APN.

"I need to recharge the batteries and take a few weeks to reflect on this whole experience.

"Last night I was up talking to my sister and best friend for most of the night. They left me with an hour to go, I put my head on the pillow and stared at the ceiling.

"I watched a bit of MMA fighting just because it was on TV. I don't even like MMA."

The 31-year-old said Ryan Ginns and Travis Lunardi will have to bond together as the final two male housemates.

According to SportsBet the two blokes are now the favourites to win the show over Gold Coast beauty Skye Wheatley and lovable intruder Penny Higgs.

"Ryan's biggest challenge will be the gamesmanship of Skye and Priya," he said.

"You need that boy talk in the house. We would switch off so often and talk about sports or kick the footy or jump around in the pool.

"I can confirm if two housemates are having a meaningful conversation which Skye might seem threatened by, she's not afraid to strip her clothes completely down and stand right next to them so it won't get aired."

Hodis confirmed he doesn't plan to grow back his beard, which he shaved off after two weeks in the Big Brother house, anytime soon.

"I had nine weeks or so without the beard (on the show)," he said.

"That's the guy who got through the majority of the game, so I'm going to respect that and stay somewhat clean shaven."

Three of the final six housemates will be sent packing in a massive eviction show on Tuesday night before the grand final.
