That's what I found annoying - we heard the housemates bitching about him then they'd show a short little snippet which appeared to back up what they were saying about him, so he definitely got the bad edit in last night's show. It amazes me that some people voting base their opinion on those sort of moments which are more akin to others telling you what someone is like rather than you seeing it yourself.
Personally I love that David doesn't fit into their idea of what they think he should be like. To me that says he's not afraid to be himself and his self-awareness is a lot more appealing to me than the likes of Lisa who berates others for exhibiting the personality traits she possesses herself. Seeing them all target him just wants me to see him stay more and hopefully we'll see more from him tonight.
To be fair, at this point, what else can people vote on? If they are only getting snippets, they can only vote based on those. If they get no snippets, there is no incentive to vote for the person at all. So, he's in a lose/lose situation with the public, in terms of voting.
I too love that David doesn't fit in. However, I'm big on personally responsibility. So, I don't think it's a huge coincidence that people said the same things about him. David voted for Dion because he only talked about Crossfit. Because we didn't see it, we had to take his and other people's word for it. So, now I have to take the word of many housemates that he seems to only talk strategy, and that is his fault. I don't think anyone is denying that it's wrong, but the major thing I've gotten is, he doesn't seem to have real non game conversation. Now, had Lisa said it, I would have dismissed the comment. But, because more than one person said it, I tend to believe it's true. So, if Dion got voted by his housemates, for being obsessed with one thing, some were at least consistent in their voting for David, for the same reason. I guess I don't see it as everyone ganging up on him. This week, I think he has to own some of it. Just as Skye and Travis have to own how immature they are.
I hope he gets airtime that allows people to see his personality and they vote, but if he stays, I hope he realizes he needs to switch his strategy up and not be so forthcoming with all he is thinking. At this point, it will be up to the editors, and if people see enough to care one way or the other.
