David Appreciation Thread

I remember quite clearly reading comments about david not knowing how to talk to a woman and that he is disrespectful to women- I can finally say, What a load of rubbish that was! He treats women just fine and like I said in the daily thread, way more gentlemanly than some deserve. He comforts Lisa when she was the vile bitch- that's what a good guy does! AND his best friend is a chick! Stick that in your pipe hole and smoke it!!

I want skye to stay so bad. It's never a nice feeling to feel like you are alone and that people don't give a rats about you. I really did tear up when David seemed so genuinely taken back that someone talked to him to listen to him and how he is.

David was the nice guy in the end, but I loved when he spoke up and defended himself and ripped Lisa a new one too. I'm voting hard

That's what gets me every time. He somehow puts his own feelings away even when he has been wronged, because he doesn't like to see another person upset. This is what makes him a good person. Whether he wins bb or not, he walks away a winner, 100%... But still I want him to win anyways
 
Finally watched and big props to David for no longer taking Lisa's shit. She's so far up her on arse, it's any wonder she can walk straight. I didn't agree with his initial comment, but that doesn't even matter. She handled it like the bitch she is, and expected Dave to just take it once again. I guess he's supposed to pay for his comments from week 1 forever. So glad he let her know he's done with it. And HUGEEEEEEEEE props to Leo for pointing something out that really needed to be said. The rest of the housemates are little punks, because they enable her horrible attitude. I'm so glad he said, in front of the others, that Dave should feel good knowing he did what others couldn't. I really hope Dave and Leo get an honest chance to talk. Proud that even feeling as isolated as he did, he still stood up for himself. I think he saved himself.
And while I think Skye is as phony as a two dollar bill, it's nice that Dave feels he has someone on his side.

I think David was probably right though, he felt it unfair that everyone was badmouthing Cat and Lawson so much, and for Lisa to say Lawson was cheating for going in there, even if was wrong given Cat's feeling towards but it wasn't exactly cheating at that stage...
it could also be David being naive, or not hearing all the gossip about how much Cat actually liked Lawson in the first place

although the fight ended up not being about Clawson just Lisa wanting to be a mean girl telling Dave to 'f*** off and get out of the spa... and Boom Bitch etc

For me, like I said, disagreeing with him is here nor there. But, no, I don't think it's wrong for people to talk about what they were doing. David is certainly free to feel however he wants, but I think him going to the room was as wrong as her asking him. Their behavior has been disgusting , and no I feel no sympathy for those who cheat and cross those kind of lines. The difference is, I would have no issues telling them to their faces. We'll see how the house reacts tomorrow. I think being around cheaters is INCREDIBLY awkward and uncomfortable, so the house had every right to talk about how their behavior made them feel.
 
I think what David took umbrage with is the fact people were calling them cheaters just for going to the room. This was not a certainty and they might not have cheated necessarily. I agree with David as there are people on the outside who will get hurt by such speculation. Unfortunately, they did cross the line so it turned out to be true. That doesn't mean people were right for speculating and making nasty comments.
 
We really have no idea what the housemates have seen or heard prior to them kissing. Just like last year, things came out that never made it to air. The house was already talking about their relationship being inappropriate. So, I don't think 1 conversation, turned the house. I just don't. Whatever they have been doing and saying, clearly caught the house's attention, before the hot tub discussion. People weren't betting she'd take Lawson for nothing. Again, David was certainly free to feel how he felt, I just didn't see it how he did. I thought they were inappropriate before today's episode.
 
Can I just say a massive thank you to you all for your lovely words about David.
Just like my sister I have shed a load of tears after watching today's episode. While waiting for the episode on YouTube I read the article about Skye and David and I was heartbroken to think my brother was being ignored by everyone. I know they all hate him but I really thought they couldn't stoop as low as to totally ignore him and while I have never been a Skye fan I truly (from the bottom of my heart) thank her for talking to David and for genuinely being upset when David told her she was the first person to speak to her.
Here's hoping he gets saved this week, I would love nothing more than him to have the most saves tonight and I know he would feel that love and it would give him the boost he needs to face the next few weeks ahead. It would def also be a massive middle finger to the rest of the HMs and I reckon we would see a chance in how the interact with him.
 
David lost power during that boob fight and Lisa thought she had free reign over belittling him, not now bitch cop that. I can see more shit popping off between the two.

The "you've been disrespectful to women" stuff she keeps prattling on about makes my blood boil. It's the same card she keeps playing over and over. Honestly, as a woman I find her so OFFENSIVE. Not only that she keeps raising the same thing (all the while objectifying Leo in exactly the same manner), but the vitriol that spews from her mouth.

I agree, it's not over between them, not by a long shot. She won't let sleeping dogs lie - it's because she's spiteful, an angry drunk and to be completely honest, is embarrassing herself and all the women she seems adamant that she represents. David can continue to wipe the slates clean, the problem is she is shitting all over them the minute he turns his back.

She's two-faced and a total hypocrite. She keeps playing victim and it's really transparent what she's doing. Disrespectful? Walking around without a bra on is disrespectful. If you want guys to respect you, respect yourself first.
