Seriously, for some reason, I wasn't expecting that at all from David, to just blurt out a number like that.
I know I don't know him..but from hints of what we've seen and how he talks about women (he doesn't talk about them like they're something for him to bang and then brag about) I always see him as MUCH BETTER than the trashy men in there type and I don't want him to stoop low.

He definitely doesn't bang and brag. To be fair, he cops more grief from his mates for his lack of conquests than anything else. I have had to sit him down not the couch for half an hour to even get details of his dates out of him - he keeps it close to his chest which i quite like.

We needed you around when the hate threads were in high force (and probably will be again), how satisfying it would be to see you be able to "BOOM BITCH" the haters with facts.

It sounded he was 'trolling' Lina for a reaction. Lina is supposedly a 'prude' and maybe this was another of Dave's attempt at getting under her skin. Have no idea what Dave has against the girl, she's quite lovely. Had she been an original she would've been my favourite (along with Penny) over Skye.

I find it hard seeing him depicted that way on the tv. I just wish they had put in a few girls who didn't take themselves so seriously and enjoyed a laugh. David is the wittiest person i know and we haven't got to see any of it. Any time he tries to have some fun with the girls it gets taken as bullying so i can see why he shut down until his recent connection with Ryan.

I liked Lina when she first went in but now I just find her irritating tbh. I like Penny tho. Skye can just disappear now please.

She's quite lovely? All I've seen is her talking about other housemates...ESPECIALLY David, in a negative manner.

aw! David reminds me of my best friend, and I just always have this vision how my best friend is with girls is how david is, and today when that happened it was like WOW WTF...not similar at all.

But what you just said is back to how my best friend is as well..he doesn't like to talk about who he's been with and out of respect for himself and the girl.

I thought David was turning into ONE OF THOSE GUYS.

I jumped on here right in the beginning but the David Appreciation Thread was full of haters at the time so i left.

I can say without a doubt that if any of your were to get the chance to sit and have a beer with Dave after all this is wrapped up, you wouldn't regret supporting him. If anything, you would only be surprised at how much more there is to him and just how 'real' he has been this whole time. He is a straight shooter which sometimes rubs people the wrong way but i would pick that over some of the other fakeness we have seen this season.

I know, it's frustrating because even we can see that...I can only imagine how frustrating it would be for you, @MelKen and @BigSisterEm to see him painted that way knowing it's not true. The "David hates women" tag around here is just ridiculous. In fact I respect that he tries to have fun with the girls the same way he does the boys. It shows he sees them as equals and doesn't feel the need to coddle them. Too bad most of the girls in there seem to hate men and have their delicate sensibilities threatened the moment one of the boys breathe in their direction.

I think Connoisseur was right when they said David was trolling Lina by pretending to be premiscuous just to get under her skin as she is quite uptight regarding anything to do with sex. I don't think he gets much out of her and this was his way of stirring the pot a bit...i guess it worked! haha

What does 5'8" got to do with anything? lol I actually reckon he might be a tad shorter because I suspect Trav is around 5'8 - 5'9 which would make Dave around 5'6'-5'7.

The average female height is around 5'2" (approximately Skye's height) which Dave is quite comfortably several inches over so I doubt it has had any bearing on his number of 'conquests' unless he's lived in places populated by Amazonian women. :cool:

This is why I initially thought he and Sandra were a good match. I thought she'd be the type to see that there's more to him, I thought she'd like the realness. I had her pegged all wrong, didn't I! Haha

You are spot on! He is an equalist and doesn't believe the girls should get special treatment just for being female. I don't think there has been a single girl in the house who even moderately resembles the types of female friends he has on the outside. He has done his best as trying to relate to them but clearly he does more accidental harm than good sometimes.
