I remember Rory has been with 100 and he was so proud of it...he was like 26 or something at the time.
Never find men that brag about stuff like this attractive AT ALL.

Wish it wasn't brought up or he'd kept it private (he wasn't forced to tell the group)

They probably all said their 'number', but they only showed David saying it to show the fight with Lina I'm guessing. I'll have to rewatch, I was doing dishes and only half listening haha

David's number is definitely NOT 75 - i am sure he would have told the housemates at some point he was lying/joking however we didn't see it. i Couldn't tell you his exact number, but i know for certain that its neither shockingly high or low. He has been single his whole life but he has never been a man-whore. He would rather go out, have a great time with his mates than be on the prowl for women all night.

David is about 5'8".

Hope this helps clarify the nonsense editing we are continually subjected to.
 
It's very subjective and highly personal, but for me 75 seems a high number when you consider that none have allegedly translated into anything long term. I don't think I'd be keen on being anyones 76th, because I'd figure there's probably a 77th and 78th right around the corner. It's weird even discussing this, but he's thrown it out there and it's going to be a talking point because there are clearly two very differing views on it, and of the counting of bedpost notches at all. You'd think you'd lose count around 40 or 50. :laugh:

All it proves is that he's a typical guy. However, I don't think revealing this information was very strategic or smart. David would have been better off playing the "inexperienced" card regardless of what is the reality. There would have been a sympathy vote for that, like Tim last year saying no chicks want to date him.

I don't see how he's "bragging" when the only reason he said it was because he was asked. He couldn't really not tell the group when they were all talking about it. Saying "none of your business" or something usually brings more unwanted attention to it than just saying it. That's even if he was telling the truth. For all we know Leo who's a similar age said 100+ so David bumped his up a bit.

Edit - Just saw that Lisa confirmed he was joking anyway :)

Just to clear this up, i agree 75 isn't high for a 31 year who has been single his whole life however David was lying/joking which they failed to show. He is neither premiscuous nor a prude. If anything this just highlights the terrible editing we see each night. Hope this helps!

In that case I was talking about Rory bragging not David :)

I just wish I hadn't heard it, for some reason, I really dislike both men and women who like to keep count on how many they sleep with.

I get in a situation you'll lie to not look bad or whatever, but I (personal thing) find it...bleh
 
What was the Lina v David thing in the pool all about? I suspect it was something more than just a little argument.

You're welcome! David has never been the type to need to "pick up" on a night out for him to have a good time. I guess thats why all this talk about him being sexist and awful to women is infuriating. If every man treated the ladies in their life the way David does the world would be a better place. He despises people who cheat and will make a great boyfriend when the right lady comes along. She doesn't have to be perfect, but he would rather be single than settle.

I agree, she liked him from the get go but he seems much more interested in Penny and her easy going attitude. Tonight was the first episode where i believe i spotted David doing some "flirting" with Penny...I don't think it would amount to anything but i like seeing him have a connection in the house. He has been deprived of it for nearly 3 months now.
 
Because BB is so different from the early days... when we had 24/7 access to the HMs... and now we get each HM given to us in a neatly edited and scripted package, people who are not easily definable or a particular stereotype, have much less chance of success. Whereas Skye and Travis are MUCH easier for the producers to slot easily into a box. And for the lazier/younger viewers who also don't want to work too hard, they will naturally gravitate towards the Skye/Travis caricatures.

I think this will be the only thing that may stop David from winning :-(.

Seriously, for some reason, I wasn't expecting that at all from David, to just blurt out a number like that.
I know I don't know him..but from hints of what we've seen and how he talks about women (he doesn't talk about them like they're something for him to bang and then brag about) I always see him as MUCH BETTER than the trashy men in there type and I don't want him to stoop low.

Can I just say how great it is having people on board that actually know these things and can put a stop to all the rumours that float around here?
