David Appreciation Thread

Massive thank you from both his sisters for all your votes. He gets to fight another week yeah!!!
Def think it will be interesting to see who nominates him this week!
And yes you did get to see one of his sisters tonight. I will watch it all when I get home and prob still have my heart in my mouth even thou I know he is safe!

So happy for David. I did have to laugh because I'm pretty certain Sandra and the others think she is to credit for the save. If they only knew, David got MUCH MORE airtime, and what Sandra got was her moping. So, I for one am giving him sole credit for the save. I can't wait to see how he plays on his own. I'm thinking he might be safe this week. Yeah, he's the easy target, but he hasn't done anything too bad this week and I don't think the boys will vote for him. Good job, Australia.

David shaved it! Big Brother bad guy shears off his signature beard and shocks the housemates with his clean cut look

He's just as notorious for his wild facial hair as he is his insensitive comments, but Big Brother housemate David took the clippers to one defining feature on Tuesday night.

The 31-year-old radiographer said goodbye to his face fluff as past winner Tim Dormer convinced him to shave it off.

And the result was... surprising.

Beary good: Housemates were loving his smoother look after he ditched the hipster beard

An established outsider due to his comments about women's bodies, David is facing eviction and one of the top bets to be sent home.

But seeing a little something of himself in David, Dormer - who was a surprise intruder - selected the fellow lad to join him for a night in the luxurious sanctuary.

It was in the five-star accommodations within the Big Brother compound that the curly-haired 2013 winner was able to convince him to go under the knife.

Winning big: Former Big Brother winner Tim Dormer was a surprise intruder and shook things up

The 'bold move' saw David say goodbye to his signature feature and perhaps, even save him from eviction.

The housemates certainly took to the change, with them collectively screaming in shock as he returned to the house.

'You are a different person!' shouted Jake, while Skye too was overcome.

'Oh my gosh, you look amazing!' she said.

Chopper chic?: The 'bold move' was his way to separate himself from the partnership he entered the house in

Lisa added that he looked 'so much better'.
David explained that the reason for his dramatic makeover was the fact that the housemates were individuals now, and no longer paired as couples.
'Why did I do it?' he mused.
'Last night I had an epiphany that I entered this house as a partner bearded up and as we're no longer partnerships I need to set myself aside.'
Travis was the first to point out that a clean-shaven David resembled Spider-Man actor Tobey Maguire, which is something he said is mentioned a lot.

I wonder if @BigSisterEm is at the eviction.

Are they interviewing the loved ones again this year?
It was such a fun experience once I got over all the nerves and heat rash! It was so hot in there!!
The other loved ones were all so so nice (Jake's Dad, Gemma's Mum, Travis' Mum, Cat's brother in law and Sandra's close friend).
Was so happy when David and Sandra were saved. I had a little tear in my eye - glad the camera didn't cut to that!
Thanks again everyone for all the votes :) Here's hoping for a week off from noms!

I hope he avoids nominations this week. They haven't shown him being offensive. I hope Leon doesn't let them nominate for things that happened in previous weeks.

:jawdrop::muted::dead:

I hope you've learnt your lesson!

I'm so glad he was saved! But how the heck did travis and cat get so many votes!? Seriously!
I'm surprised that others are surprised considering voting for cocky jocks/pretty boys is a BB tradition that goes all the way back to first season of the show (i.e. douche bag blair etc...) :)

Let's face it teenage girls comprise a large portion of the voting public and their reasons for voting a housemate this early on aren't exactly deeper than how hot a guy looks and/or how bubbly/friendly a female hm is.
