Danny is such a dick. The more I see of him the more I am disgusted. Piss-weak he is. Now completely under the thumb of Marc, he's doing his dirty work for him... with glee might I add. I'm thinking that he's in the closet.
He rejected Sarah... why would he do that? Now his biggest problem in this world is a pair of tits and a woman's bare ass. But then of course he could be asexual... but that doesn't make any sense if he fancies Marc... or does it? Of course, he can still be asexual and desire a platonic affair with Marc. Whatever it is, he isn't honest about it and therefore he is thoroughly unlikable... to put it mildly.

And a question for the ladies... how is a boorish looking guy who never smiles handsome... or hot? Is this the in-vogue "handsome guy look" atm?? Ladies you need your brains repaired.

never heard of James Dean then? (and I'm not saying Danny is anything like James Dean)
That moody look seems to be the thing of late for photoshoots (if the modelling shots of Drew from BBAU are anything to go by - there's someone with a nice smile and great eyes but do they put those to good use? nooo they shoot dark moody shots and rim his eyes with eyeliner so he looks like Jon English on a good day...)

I just think Danny is getting through having Marc in the house in the best way he can manage - constantly confronting someone and causing drama might be interesting for us but as they are unaware of how Marc is being seen outside just yet becauses he hasn't been up for eviction yet Danny might be thinking it would be suicidal for his game to do so.

I liked the way he stood up to him on that first night in defence of Chloe .. he won major brownie points for that.

...I so love the way that Harry is rattling Marc's chains lol!... he was looking really fazed a few times there today...keep up the good work girl because he totally deserves getting back what he dishes out so cruelly so easily...
I still don't really like her that much but I love what she is doing though... GO HARRY YOU GOOD THING YOU!... cheers.

WOOEEER.gif

...I love the fact that Jades 'wooooeeeeer' baby sulk noise irritates the shit out of Marc!... that shows that the first time that they had their run-in she won that round lol!... he's not as clever as he thinks he is in my opinion... keep doing it Jade... lol!... cheers.

BOOHOO!.gif

...Jeez!... does he ever stop?... I think that they will need to put him on 'suicide watch' when he finally get's thrown out of the house on a serious note... cheers.

I know this is another one of your trick questions but I'll bite - of course I've heard of James Dean, I am a true scholar of everything that creeps and crawls on this planet. :whistling:

I honestly think you are over-estimating Danny's intelligence. I doubt he can think as far as you give him credit for, his forever stupefied facial expression should be an indication .

I still disagree with your take on that first night. His reaction toward Marc was an instinctive one, attempting to take over the alpha-male crown from Keiran who left it behind for grabs. His meek attempt was anything but valiant, coming to the aid of Chloe was a convenient excuse for his short-lived bluster. Where is his support for Chloe now?
If you still have that episode, I'd suggest you watch it again, with respect :) --- in that moment he felt secure because the house was united standing behind him 'having his back' as it were. Now, without back up his real 'courage' comes to the fore. Criticizing girls at every opportunity to vent his frustration at not understanding what's going on is obviously his forte.
Oh yes, I think we all saw this: Mediating between Simon and Chloe with the sole aim to convince Chloe that she was a bad girl if she didn't give Simon another chance because Simon in the end regrets everything and really is a decent bloke. That's tantamount to prostitution in my eyes. :woot::p

I don't know if you saw tonight's BOTS. Harriet who was on the panel saw that too, she was the only one, all the others were singing from the official song-sheet. Good on you Harriet. She also agreed with me expressing that not opposing Marc was wrong... that if she was still in the house, she would take him on. Harriet and Sarah, though insufferable at times, provided for enough tension and drama in the house without resorting to personal insults like the golden boy Marc.

...he does understand that he is on National Television doesn't he?... please stop doing that Nick... please!... cheers.
I don't think he does. Like most of the male HMs he doesn't understand much of anything. He lives in his own little world of illusions and delusions of grandeur. Oblivious of the world around him just like Simon. Interestingly, Nick is a self-confessed admirer of Marc... what does that tell us?

At this stage I pretty much despise the male HMs with the exception of Joel and Jack. Those two boys are young and inexperienced, of course they are going to do stupid things and be naive. But neither of those two is devious or malicious.

Now look at the other losers, every single one is repulsive in one way or another. I don't have to elaborate on Marc and Simon, we seem to have pretty much a consensus, at least on this forum. Danny is a spineless wimp who is prone to display his masculinity by taking on girls. Cristian, another spineless wimp runs with the pack and Nick thinks he is James Bond with a penchant for the contents of his nose. Sorry, I cannot respect 'shortcomings' of this kind. Bad habits CAN be unlearned if the effort is serious. Obviously he doesn't think there is anything wrong with his behaviour.

The Girls... there are only 4 left now versus boys 7. I like Chloe, Jade and Harry even if they might have their own infighting going on, I like the three of them.
Sarah I can't stand.

As it stands, I doubt that I'll be changing my mind anytime soon.

we'll agree to disagree on the first night ... but I will add that I've never said he's the brightest crayon in the box - in fact I've criticised him for the fact that I don't think I've heard one fully comprehensible sentence come out of his mouth yet!

but I struggle to give you any further encouragement by agreeing with you in case you start trying to ply me with chocolates again in an attempt me to get my tango shoes on

I think Danny's thoughts are Happy House = Happy Danny ... he doesn't want discord - he preferred his life in the BB house with his mate Keiran and his cuddlebunny Sarah.

can you really blame him?

I realise you can't stand her - but the name is Sam ...

I like Chloe and Jade (who would have thought we'd start to like her?) but can't see the back of Harry and Sam fast enough.

Even in this last episode after crying from all her nominations Sam still does not get the issue the others all have with her over food and she openly laughs about it in their faces. She is clueless!!

Funny how suddenly when up for eviction Marc and Sam cant keep their hands off one another ...

You criticise Danny over 'taking on the girls' ... well one notable thing he's done is actually speak up directly to Harry about the clothing issue - she laughed it off the first time ... he backed down ... but took the next opportunity (the wish task) to address it again - and she acknowledged it was fair enough. If that's "taking on" one of the girls as you put it - in my mind he did a good job of it. He wasn't up in her face screaming at her - he wasn't going behind her back just bitching about it - yes he did discuss it with other HMs (most notably Jack) but how else does he gauge what the others think and if he's out of line

He tried to mediate with Marc, Chloe and Harry - Harry wasn't having any of it. Another one who can't mutter a fully comprehensible sentence! Chloe has repeatedly shown that she will say her piece but then will listen and allow the other person their say. She was gracious about Marc's apology ... but don't be fooled. She might forgive (in the moment) but she won't forget.

After watching BOTS tonight I'm glad Harriet isn't in the house any more - she used to constantly butt in and talk over people and she did that repeatedly again tonight.

However it would have been interesting to see her go head to head / toe to toe with Marc. Shall we say explosive??

Marc's cage has been rattled ... he is starting to realise he's not in control ... that he can't just run roughshod over everyone and say what he likes - because finally BB has pulled him up and shown him he does not have carte blanche to say whatever / do whatever he wants to.

Danny didn't really speak up directly to Harry the first time, he pretended that others where finding her being naked all the time a problem, when in reality it was just mainly him.
She then told him that if someone was having a problem with it they should just tell her. Which he didn't.

He then didn't tell her again until he could write in down in secret.
It makes me wonder how many people would have chose to remain anonymous in that task, if the first couple of people didnt stand up.

I think he bitches a lot. I remember in the first couple of episodes he would do a lot of bitching behind peoples backs, or he starts conversations so that others will do it.

...while watching BOTS last night I noticed something really interesting... Marc is always having a go at the other housemates for not be 'genuine' and are always portraying a false persona... while talking to Rylan two girls in the audience were from Dublin where Marc is from and were saying that the way Marc talks is not 'Irish banter'... it's not the way anyone from there speak!... so obviously he is playing on the 'Irish street words' while abusing people or just generally swearing in conversation... so who is fake now Marc?... I wish that BOTS would bring those 2 girls back and 'up' Marc about it if he gets thrown out of the show... it would be interesting to watch methinks... cheers.

yes BUT ... I was born in NZ - and whilst everyone thinks Kiwis all use the words 'eh bro' at the end of every sentence its actually a very small percentage of the population that ever does/did so - but its the one that sticks
how many Aussies do you really know who say "fair dinkum" "g'day mate" etc in every conversation? and how many ever threw 'shrimps' on a barbie?
surely in Ireland there is the same thing - depending on where you live there would be local 'banter' that identifies you as a 'local' ... but still not everyone uses it

all sorts of things factor into our use of language and have a bearing on it ... socio-economic / educational / familial / ethnic ... PLUS the two ladies obviously didn't want to "own" Marc as one of theirs ... (not many would)

...yes that's right crimmy I agree... but those girls said that they were from the same area/town as Marc and said that in that area/town they do not talk like that... in other words they are saying that he is 'Irishing it up'... (Irishing?... really Sticky?... you actually wrote that word?)... it's like the fact that I grew up in the East End in London... I'm a Cockney... all in that area spoke exactly the same... as they would in Dublin as those girls said... they are saying that he is putting it on so I guess that we should take that on face value until Marc denies it I imagine... cheers.

...imagine if Nick and Harriet lived with each other?... they'd sit and have nose pick-a-thons!... Jade looks like she is saying... "Yes... Nick is going for the world record for continuous nose picking" for the benefit of deaf people with those hand gestures lol!... cheers.

I get what you're saying MrS but even being a Cockney ... but for instance does every Cockney swear on the same level or tell jokes at the same level? or like everywhere else does everyone still have their own boundaries/levels of language/sense of decency?

Marc's also heavily influenced by the blokey 'comraderie' (for want of a better word) forged during his time in the army - he didn't have to moderate his behaviour to be 'decent' because there would probably not have been very many women around him - and the few that were probably would not have thanked him for making any 'allowances' for their gender.
