Big Brother UK season 15 - SPOILERS

and once again Pauline remains totally oblivous to the fact that she talks and talks and talks over the top of people, increasing the volume to drown them out, intimidating some - and even when called on it by the panelist on BOTS STILL she carries on with it and STILL she is proud of how she was. Good riddance!
And when I hear Toya in argument mode with Matthew - she has the same lovely way about her ... I'm hoping at the end of their week as the Power Couple it will be Toya who will be up for eviction NOT Matthew

twice now I've heard Toya saying Stephen deserves better than Kimberley ... doesn't she really mean STEPHEN! PICK ME! PICK ME!

I don't see Stephen as that much of a great catch for anyone ... need I remind her that he cried when he was nominated?

grow a pair ffs!!!!
I think that Toya is jealous of Kimberly.

that is who I want to go up too

I don't think Toya actually wants Stephen, I think she somehow wants to be the most attractive female in the house (unfortunately she would need to get rid of all of the women to accomplish that).

Stephen used to be really overweight, he had gastric surgery. So he has an underlying insecurity, that is why he isn't smooth with women and why he cried for being nominated and probably part of the reason he clung to Pauline as a mother figure.

Steven is a fucking pussy, I have no idea how overweight he was before the surgery, but the guy is only 23. Obviously he could not be fucked to lose the weight the right way. Instead he took the easy way out. The guy needs to grow some balls and stop lying about going to 119 countries. I can't stand him. Too me he comes off as a snob and extremely over confident, he needs his mummy to make him some humble pie, hopefully he can fit in into his surgically minimize stomach.

It does seem like he overstated himself in his video clip. Many people that have issues with weight have underlying insecurities/issues that they used overeating food to ease. I think he needs a strong woman to guide him and to feel secure.

Also thought I would add that I am annoyed that the Power HM nominated a person again. There is more to power in the house then just nominating someone...it's turning into a Head of Household now more then a power HM. Instead of getting them to nominate, other things they could do is have the power HM watch everyones nominations privately after they have nominated, save someone from nomination, instantly evict someone, punish + reward etc. I just don't want them to be doing the nominations again.
They should have basically ripped off the Aussie Superpower which allows them to throw in different twists every week but under the same banner. Reveal the power each week on the eviction show and open the vote, with the winner then revealed before or (if secret) during nominations.

I agree she hasnt learnt anything at all.Glad she is gone and now they just need to get rid of mini Pauline aka Toya

I just thought of another twist with the power housemate which I guarantee will happen this season:
  • Someone will be faked evicted (they are actually the person who the audience wants to be the power housemate) and taken to a separate room to watch the house and be the power housemate for the week.

...and once again Pauline remains totally oblivous to the fact that she talks and talks and talks over the top of people, increasing the volume to drown them out, intimidating some - and even when called on it by the panelist on BOTS STILL she carries on with it and STILL she is proud of how she was. ...I so wish that Toya gets voted out... she's the clone of Pauline!... thank god Matthew is the other power housemate... perhaps fairness will rule after all... Pauline is on BBBOTS tomorrow night to answer for her crimes... I hope that they shred her to bits...

I agree she hasnt learnt anything at all.Glad she is gone and now they just need to get rid of mini Pauline aka Toya

I agree... she is so self opinionated that she cannot grasp the fact that she did anything wrong whatsoever... she is vile...

Oooo I loved Vanessa ripping into Pauline on BBBOTS!!! It was incredible!! She put Pauline in her place!

...up until Vanessa spoke they were letting her talk over them and then Vanessa spoke!... I love that woman!... when Pauline kept trying to bypass Vanessa's question and overtalk her repeated question she said...

..."...we've heard a lot from you so listen to me for one second!... because... you didn't listen to a word... Emma... Emma tried to speak to you and everything she said you deflected... you wouldn't listen to one word... so I'm going to have a go!... I'm going to have a go!... I just want to know this... blah blah blah..."...

...Pauline shut her stupid mouth and Vanessa spoke... I hope that when Pauline is 'grilled in depth'... (according to Emma tonight)... on tomorrow night's BBBOTS that Vanessa is the one asking all of the questions!... that interview would be pure gold to me... cheers.

Oh Ashleigh... I'm so disappointed with how easily swayed she has been by Toya. Kim and even the hypocrite Danielle were a much better influence on her.

And I love how Mark and Helen suddenly feel horrible for the way they've treated Christopher, simply because Pauline says it's ok to like him now. Can guarantee if Pauline had sat there slagging him off they would have slagged him off in kind during their eyebrow tweezing session... although I should give Mark some credit - he seems to have learnt to not be such a follower after hearing all the boos last week. Even though it's nice for Pauline to admit it was them who ostracized Christopher for such pathetic reasons (and tbh, I'm cynical about this sudden change for her only after she heard the boos, she couldn't be arsed to consider or even hear out an alternate view beforehand), she still is all "don't let them go back out in the world with the same bad habits", as if Christopher is a stupid little child who needs to change his behaviour to conform to her bizarre standards. It would have been nice if she could have admitted some responsibility for her treatment of Jale and Chris, though. She still can't do it, even after she's out of the house. Perhaps it's because she never managed to infantilize Jale and Chris in the way she succeeded in doing to Christopher this week. Anyway, so glad she's out now - we are in dire need in a major shift in house dynamics and this is sure to bring it.

I also don't like how much meddling with the nominations process is going on. It was the same story last year as well. Just let the housemates nominate, and let the public evict. It's ok to have a special twist on nominations like we had this week, but it's getting too much. I really want to see the housemates nominate, as we haven't seen them do so since week 1 and much has changed in that time. Think of some other powers for the power housemates ffs. This twist with either Toya or Matthew going up feels like it has been made up on the spot - what would they have done if Helen had received the power? It's feeling chaotic and very much like they are making things up as they go along in response to events in the house. It gives me that same feeling of frustration as that awful safe house twist that saw Dan evicted last year.

Anyway, I won't mind if it gets Toya out, but I really hate the idea of seeing either Jale, Christopher or Matthew go, as I quite like them all. Even if Toya is the one to go, it still isn't a very fair process - at least toss a few others up as well.

Is it too late to delete my post where I said Pauline was winner material?

Two weeks in there are now clearly two tribes in the house, which I like to call "the rationals" and "the psychos". You can probably tell who fits into which tribe. Actually there is kind of a smaller third tribe too called "the oblivious" which only consists of Danielle, Winston and possibly Marlon. It's no surprise that when the housemates were asked to vote for the next power HM each of them only voted within their own tribe - Toya was the most voted within the psychos and Kimberley most voted in the rationals (according to my count). Ashleigh is the psychos' intern and will be joining the dark side fully very soon.

Kimberly is my favourite in the house because she's quite level headed and is truly doing her best to get through the sheer amount of egotism and tenacity the rest of the house is throwing. For the most part she's also avoiding getting caught up in many unnecessary dramas. Considering how out of line Helen was to discuss showergate, Kimberley handled herself exceedingly well. If I was Kimberley I would have flipped a table and gone napalm.

Helen is completely Cruella Deville and the queen of the psycho tribe but there's something about the way she conducts her bitching in a Bold and the Beautiful / Dynasty sense that makes you love watching her and crave more of her smokey snake tongue. But I must throw some constructive feedback to Channel 5 - when her and Ash start drunkenly having a lovers' banter PLOISE provide subtitles. Along with their cryptic accents they start mumbling themselves to Hades and I can't understand a damn thing.

Toya is... well.... she makes me want to paint a new coat on my acrylic nails and scratch the bitch's eyes out. She is the asbestos of the house, causing malignancy wherever she treads. She's the type of person who boldly declares they TELL IT LIKE IT IS and WILL SAY IT TO YOUR FACE which translates to I'M ADDICTED TO DRAMA. Can she go 15 minutes without telling some one off? I just don't know.

At first I was really hoping that Kimberley would be given a power trip but it became obvious within seconds that in this round the power trip is a curse, and therefore I'm glad Toya got it. In the first week I was really liking Matthew but we've since seen he is malleable to the larger personalities and will easily jump between tribes. I don't loik it.

On the production side of things it feels very bipolar - Much of the show fits in the swish "cool calm and collected" persona of BBUK but there are times where it gets super cheesy, ie. the "VOTING LINES FROZEN" bit. I haven't watched BBUK in a few years so it's the first time I've seen it, but man that part is just awful. Apart from that cringe moment the production of the live shows is A+. I wish BBAU would employ a lot of the creative camera work that goes into the UK live shows. And this seems like a small thing but having a split screen 2 x 2 boxes of the nominated HMs awaiting to hear the eviction results was a very nice touch.

BBAU should also give housemates as much alcohol as BBUK does.

And finally, I think BBUK may have provided a quote that beats my current forum signature:

Jale to Winston: "Are you saying you used your vomit as lubricant?"

Hey you weren't Robinson Crusoe there. She was winner material ... that was one of BB's more spectacular falls from grace.
Being first power housemate did Pauline no favours. It gave her an unnatural status level from hour one, complete with grateful disciples (Helen and Mark). So within a group of strangers, suddenly there was a tight group of three, with one of them being more powerful than anyone else in the house, and granted that privilege by popular public vote.
Natural social development was then obsolete and almost everyone gravitated towards Pauline and her henchmen ... and by letting it go to her head it became the perfect storm for Pauline's demise. I doubt things would have turned out as they did if someone else had have been the first power housemate. She probably wouldn't have won as she is clearly a pain in the arse and that was bound to have been revealed at some point, but we'll never know now.

I'm worried for Christopher. Everywhere the lad turns he is getting told that his personality is wrong. It is like they are trying to brainwash him to conform. They've tried it with Chris, Jale and now Kimberley, but those guys all seem confident enough in themselves to not be damaged by it, even if they do get sucked into it on some level. But Christopher seems to be taking it more seriously. I hope he doesn't leave the house with less self-confidence than when he came in. Hopefully the crowd cheers will give him the boost he needs.

On a lighter note, how funny was it when Mark got stuck in the giant head. Matthew sooooo should have left him there, at least for a little bit. I cried laughing.

I don't think it was all too surprising though. I think the fact that she started out so beloved made a lot of people wary that it simply couldn't last. Even I had a feeling that she might become irritating as the show wore on - though I had no idea it would happen so quickly and to such an insane level. I think it's now an expectation that the housemate who receives the best reaction on opening night is the most likely to fall out of favour as we learn more about them. Maybe it's the heightened expectations? Maybe these housemates think such a reception is a license to behave as awfully as you like, repercussion free?

We've seen it in the past with people like Wolfy, though I feel like Pauline's fall was much more dramatic. I do think her power trip could have potentially sped her demise up, but it was always inevitable. Having the power simply meant she didn't have to work as hard to get to where she wanted - a control freak like Pauline was always going to assume such a role. It helped to get housemates on her side quickly, and seeing how she abused her power turned the public against her just as quickly. Without the power, she might not have gone against Jale and Chris so quickly and they would have been slower to realise her for what she was, but I think the outcome was always going to be the same. She was always going to slot into that twisted "Jekyll and Hyde" mother role - doting on the ones who gladly accepted her authority and their role as her "foster children" and ostracizing those that refused until they relented and gave her what she wanted.

I feel for Christopher too - it's obvious from last week with his little conversation to Pauline that the mind games are much more effective on him than they are on the others. Though he tries to stand up for himself, he comes across as slightly weaker than people like Kimberly, Chris and Jale when it comes to his sense of self, and he's more likely to conform to other people's standards to gain acceptance. I'd like to see how he is without that sort of stress around, because I think he needs that validation and confidence to feel comfortable in expressing who he is. In that sense, once people like Pauline and Toya are gone, I think we'll start to see big changes in him - he's definitely got a lot more to show.

Todays episode was a bit better in terms of fun and laughter. I really really enjoyed the task and laughed so hard at Mark.
Wow I never realised that the audience shouted "Get Helen out" at the eviction. Awesome!
By the way, Pauline said she was nothing but herself, she was being "real"...so is she therefore saying she is a rude and inconsiderate person? Since a normal person would actually care and be considerate of others. There is a difference between being fake, and being polite, if being polite is being fake then you have problems. This applies to all other housemates - ie. Helen.

I had no idea Ashleigh and Kim weren't really friends anymore...wow. I loved them together!! :(
Steven is such a cringe...Gah I really want him gone.
It's good that Ashleigh understands why Helen got booed.
I pull my hair out so much in frustration at Helen.
