Exactly, I missed a few episode when my recording failed and instead of watching them on the OS I would watch them on YouTube. Pretty easy to find as well.
Guys, youtube isn't some underground video website - I know it exists and of course other users upload BB eps (like AmazingRaceKnowItAll), but I I am not lying when I say I tried to watch it through youtube, and around the episode 30-35 mark the uploads stopped being consistent, and they were late or completely missed. Maybe they have been uploaded now, but they weren't when I looked for them (a day or so after the Aus airing).

Are you talking about RHAP? Did you listen to the latest podcast with the doctors from TARCAN? I could not even make it past the first 15 minutes, that male doctor kept talking over people and would not even let his wife talk. Honestly I like it when Rob and Jess do the podcast with just the 2 of them.
I don't think that you are lying, but I can only speak for my own experience. Whenever I searched for an episode of BBAU I found it and sometimes I was looking for the episode that had premiered that day and it was up at around 11:30pm.

So we now have some idea on how Big Brother is rating, since throng.co.nz did an article on how TV3 continues to hurt at 5:30pm after losing Home and Away.
It's doing terrible in the timeslot, but that is to be expected really. Here's their graph comparing the shows that have aired since H&A left. Green = Big Brother, Red = Celebrity Masterchef, Blue = Jamie's 15 Minute Meals. Jamie's aired first, then Masterchef, then Big Brother.

TV3's assassination of Big Brother continues!
They scrapped their original plan of cutting the 90-minute Thursday daily show down to 60 minutes and then airing the 30-minute Friday daily show immediately afterwards. Instead they aired the full Thursday daily show and are simply skipping the Friday daily show and airing Showdown tomorrow.
It's not airing over the weekend or on Monday as that's when the show where Rohan and Katie & Lucy go into the house airs.

I've had a look at the guides and Tommorows episode has been extended to 85 minutes, so i assume it will go like this.
4.35-5.00pm - Friday Daily Show
5.00-6.00pm - Showdown

Like a few others I tried watching it via YouTube the following morning, and it worked well most of the season.
I'm enjoying having it on TV and in HD:
It feels all new to me, even if I know what has happened.
Was great watching the best friends task yesterday.

The time slot is going to murder the show, it needs to be later at night. Not afternoon.

There's been some discussion on Throng that it should be at 6pm on FOUR. With the not-so-good ratings on 3, it would not surprise me if they did this.
I hope next season they'll show it within 24 hours or even live on FOUR at 9pm. 40% of FOUR's shows were from FOX, and with that deal down the gurgler, they've got the space to fill.
Then in between new seasons, they could show some earlier seasons we didn't see here.

But totally agree.
I think it would do so much better on four.
Rather then showing reruns of shows from the 90s. Put big brother at 8.30, don't hack away at the show. Keep them as they were, and just let it bloom and grow into it's own.
I hope it comes back for next year, I would take a guess that they paid for a multiple season deal.

I don't understand the reasoning of putting any paid for overseas show on between 4:30 and 6pm. Unless maybe it's syndicated and it's replayed constantly throughout the week ie BBT and Seinfeld as you can get many runs out of the same episode, or at least they do here. Is NZ different somehow and that's not the timeframe when people are either at work or just coming home from it/the school pick up and news is mainly playing?! It just seems like from the conversations in here that it's such a bad decision re time of airing it.
As for the YouTube thing, [MENTION=37711]Sheep[/MENTION], each episode was available in multiple places on YT every night usually by 11:30PM Melbourne time. Next season if you have trouble finding them, slip a post in a thread and you'll be inundated with solutions. That dude who got shut down wasn't because of his posting BB episodes... it's because he half way through decided to start posting The Big Bang Theory eps straight from the US as well as other American content and CBS exterminated him as per his msg.

4.30 is not usually a spot that any paid overseas programming is played. It's usually content from Output deals until 5.30 when shows like Hot Seat and Home and Away air before the News, which is just as people get home from work. Big Brother is not going to do well at 4.30 because of this, and people won't watch a show that is part-way through an episode. It really needs to be on TV at 6pm at the earliest.
