"Big Brother: House of Love" confirmed for late 2023

Scott Tweedle or Joel Creasy would be my picks, or someone up and coming and young with some edge to them.

No. The BB host is traditionally female and doesn’t not need to change for the sake of change. Also if most people know your name you’re too big.

In a complete shock horror (sarcasm) Million Dollar Island has seemed to flop in the overnight ratings. Seeing as the original Dutch version was scrapped after one season and the US adaptation cancelled before it started filming, I’m surprised Seven went along with it as it would’ve been a pricey show to produce.

With the last few seasons of Big Brother having a solidified number of viewers who stick with the show, this years might end up being one of Seven’s better rated shows of the year 🤦🏻‍♂️

I am pretty certain that BB will do the same numbers as Blow Up and Million Dollar Island are doing, there is zero hype left for BB in this country at the moment.

This wouldn't surprise me at all. They'd probably do better by pulling the pin on it altogether and showing repeats of Cats That Make You LOL.

I kind of like that they are trying new things, even if it is hoovering up some other network's crap and/or discards and upcycling it.

It kind of is and isn’t willingness to try fresh formats; an exec a few months back gave an interview was how the new big thing was mixing different formats to give fresh new spins, think “Deal or No Deal Island”, or “Married at First Building Site”.... only it turns out he wasn’t joking about the existence of Deal or No Deal Island

It feels like that throw it at the wall and see if it sticks kind of programming. I don't mind Million Dollar Island, for instance.

Blow Up was such a predictable flop, as was Ultimate Tag and Holey Moley - and of course pre-recorded Big Brother and a BBVIP filled with tabloid trash and reality nobodies got the success they deserved. At least BB should be free of Seven by the end of the year. Presumably they've not coughed up to lock out a revival elsewhere for as long as Nine did, although another 5 years in the wilderness is probably what the show needs.
Pooch Perfect then, and now Million Dollar Island, were/are also major reality show ratings flops for channel seven too.

This really only works as a strategy if they can pull it off. Otherwise is just comes off as if they’re scraping the bottom of the barrel for ideas. These shows aren’t even critically acclaimed nor do they have cult status. It’s just forgettable garbage TV and shows that whoever is commissioning these shows has no idea what they’re doing. It’s the TV equivalent of walking in to Claire’s putting on the entire rack of accessories and hoping somehow it works.

First glimpse of the season during the logies
Big Brother said we’re about to meet his “sexy singles..”
