Big Brother back in 2025 on 10! AND LIVE!

See this is a more credible theory which is also not presented as fact, and has an image to back it up too. It's almost like this is easy to achieve.
Some people just want to feel relevant, so as Mel Robbins says; let them... The rest of us can actually focus on topics worth discussing.

Anywho, the episodes for BB2020 will expire on June 1st, a plausible date to assume the holdback could end by? Or more likely when the episodes from all four seasons (if we have to call them so) will maybe each be removed systematically? I haven't paid any attention to 7plus more or less since the 2022 All Star season, so I am unaware how often this BB streaming channel runs, but maybe after the seasons each finish streaming they're subsequently removed?

Eitherway, episodes leaving 7plus is a good sign that the show is en route from Seven to Ten OFFICIALLY

The 2020 season has now been taken off 7plus. No signs of the other seasons heading on their way out, but probably a matter of time.

It might not mean anything but surely this somewhat indicates the hold back ending soon. Why else would 7 be letting go of their seasons now?

They could just be set to expire in five years, this season being the first to go. Guess we'll find out if the rest disappear when 10 suddenly kick starts the BBAU 2025 process for real.

I thought that too. 9Now has every episode of the block expiring in 2027. But 7plus never displayed an expiration date on the BB episodes, so when I saw it I did wonder if something was up. None of the other seasons have an expiry date yet, but we’ll have to just wait and see.

I think it would still end up at 7.30pm as the Aussie networks seem to like scheduling their most popular content in the same slot, and schedule the night in such a way that they basically have 1 slot a night rather than 2 or 3.

Also BB isn't paying for itself as an half hour show - Ten will need at least an hour a night from it.

I don't think an hour a night would work with today's attention span though right? Surely a 30 minute daily show/recap and longer specials on the weekends

The idea that modern audiences don’t have an “attention span” is nothing but a fallacy. Viewers will make an investment if it’s worth the investment. Considering 90 minutes seems to be the standard for stripped reality shows in Australia 60 minutes is a cakewalk 🙄

A few US shows have moved from 60 to 90 minute episodes (eg Survivor, Amazing Race) in the last few seasons and have seen an increase in viewership.

I do think in order to do the show properly that at very least nomination and eviction nights should be 90 minutes. 60 minutes of highlights and a 30 minute nomination/eviction show. Add in Uncut and that’s at least another 90 minutes of coverage on a 3rd night.

That said whether it’s too much or not is about perceived value. As long as the additional content is adding to the experience and isn’t merely bloat viewers will make the necessary investment.

The TikTok generation also like to watch 10 x hour long Netflix episodes back to back. If the content warrants it people can pay attention.

Also although the old 20 minute editions often told us more than a 90 minute episode on Seven TV seems to have lost the skill of short sharp edits. They might do shorter highlights on nominations night and Fridays if FNL returns but think Tue-Thu will fill the hour. Sunday hopefully will of an hour of HLs before the eviction as they have two days to cover.

This research is showing that longform content on you tube well outweighs shortform content, with the largest market share being 18-24 year olds.

Someone I was watching today actually summed it up well when they said they watch more you tube than anything else because the content is authentic and genuine and real people and not as manufactured as the slick productions of TV.

The Project has been axed (FINALLY) to be replaced with a new show in the coming months.. I wonder what that new show could be at a 7pm time slot 🙈🙈🙈
