There are a few international versions that implemented additional votes besides the eviction votes... some of them being a bit more pointless (e.g. wake-up songs, choices for food punishment) others having slightly more weight (voting for some HoH-like position, deciding if housemates should get a reward or punishment, picking housemates for tasks/competitions).

The pointless votes are kinda fine for me.. they don't do much harm, they are just pointless and pretend to make the show more interactive. Not a fan if viewers can vote for people to get tasks or do the shopping or whatever. I think that should be up to the housemates.
 
During 10 News+ tonight there was a Channel 10 BB promo that says "the watchful eye is back" and then shows the old (better) BB eye. Is this not new? I've not seen it before. I am so confused hahaha

It’s not new. It’s been airing pretty regularly since around the second week of October. (It’s what I labeled as the “game on moles” ident on that promo list I made a few days ago.)

I looooove it! Especially because it uses the 2001 opening synth. I get a kick out of it every time I hear it.
 
The idea of polls if that’s what they mean by being interactive makes me think of the I’m a Celebrity polls, I don’t mind it. But if it’s too much control it will annoy me cause sometimes viewers can be really dumb 😂
