The average Australian household doesn't watch nearly as much free-to-air as they used to, so there's really no point withholding them if they want to maximise exposure. 99.9% of the country don't care about the show nearly as much as most on this forum - they're certainly not going to nitpick over it - so differentiating promos in the same time slot will help to reinforce amongst captive audiences while they have their attention.
What I hope most is that we can give this first series some grace to try and get things right. They know they have some course correcting to do, but also have to find a balance of what worked of the legacy Ten-era series and what modern audiences demand from modern reality TV. Translating the show for Gens Z and Alpha is going to be part of that.
To that degree, I'm kinda glad this first run is only four weeks so they can use it to test and learn. We don't need to worry about the series going anywhere in the short term - given how they're putting it front and centre for the 2026 upfronts, we can safely expect a bigger investment next year. I fully expect we'll get a full civillian series and a celeb run in 2026.
