Rewatch Big Brother 2007 YouTube stream (10-12 Oct & 17-19 Oct)

Nothing offensive about throwing beans or anything on a flag. Lmao. Mexico overreacted. Sheesh.

It should be shown. If it were a German or Italian flag, would they still pull that episode off?
Considering their whole mantra during these marathons has been “we don't want to be revisionist and will let it play out”, I’d be very surprised if they touched it. They haven’t censored a single thing as yet and, given there’s already been a lot that could’ve been edited if they felt like it, I’d say it’s likely to (rightfully) stream as is. Thankfully.

Loving the rewatch of this season!! I’ll always remember being a baby 19 yr old closeted gay when this season aired and was wondering around drunk in Melbourne one night, was on my own, when Kate noticed that I was alone, asked if I was ok and OBVIOUSLY her gaydar would be off the charts and took me with her friends to the Market hotel in South Yarra - my first experience at a gay bar - and had the most profound and wonderful night in my trajectory to being myself. Fond memories of this season especially because of that.
Aww! That is so lovely. Thank you for sharing. Kate was one of my favourite housemates this year. I’m very pleased to see all the Kate love on here. It’s wonderful to hear she is a nice person. She seemed very gay-friendly. 😍

I don't think they'll pull the episode.. and I don't want to speak for the Italians, but I do think that it would have caused some issues if it was the German flag and would have found its way into tabloid press here.

Case in point: John de Mol's sister Linda is one of the most popular hosts in the Netherlands and used to be a pretty popular host in Germany as well. On one of her Dutch shows (which was later modelled into Deal or no Deal), one of the contestants could have won 10 million guilders if he had known the composer of the German national anthem. When he answered wrongly, Linda said something like "well, it's a shit song anyways" to comfort the guy.

And that caused a huge uproar in Germany, was nominated for the embarrassing TV host and some nutbag even reported her to the prosecutors for that comment. It didn't go to court though.
