2006 and 2007 are very similar in layout the orientation of the couch leading to the diary room is like its flipped and both are different than 2005 which was a long corridor up to the bedroom with the bathroom Diary room and Bowling alley/Rewards Room off the side. I think the Pool maybe was the mainstay in its position through the '06 and '07 houses iirc.

I liked the horseshoe kinda set up of the Bedroom in 2006. Again '03 and '04 were also kindof paired with the Kitchen across from the house in the unified 2003 layout, Indoors the Bathroom remained in a similar location centrally and the disco floor was roughly where the connecting room between the two lounges in 2003 was.

I would love to see a compile of floor plans, that all align so you can compare how the internal walls / pools / etc were moved.

Also remember finding it fascinating during an urban explorers’ video of the house in probably 2020, the size of the ceiling space in the 2013 house.

You’re welcome:

I just recalled while looking at those floor plans that they had one giant bed in BB08. Gross!!

They've added two single beds a week in when Corey and racist Terri came back into the house (at least I think it was at that point.. but Terri was always sleeping in one of those beds)

Watched that video now. I think from the launch night vid BB04 stands out most - would still look pretty good today whilst I think others have dated more.

Other thing noticeable from those is just as I said at the time Jackie O could have been a decent host if she hadn't been saddled with Kyle. BB08 house kind of summed up though where the season went wrong - trying to do too much that didn't actually need doing.

I think 2005 had the best look. It also had the best layout of all the houses.

Of the Dreamworld era, I think 2014 was the worst looking and designed house. Everything looked so ugly. The stairs to the diary room were unnecessary.

They really gave up on the backyard after 2005. It really is just a "lets not spend too much on it this year" job for the final three years.

I think the amount of rain they get just made real grass seem too hard. I wonder what was with the pathetic pool in S8 though.

Yeah the Lawn in 2005 got pretty muddy and a mess after a while didn't it then they switched to the astroturfing in BB06.

IIRC BB08 only had the hot tub with a tiny bit of pool around it/next to it, but then they had that secret rewards area they dressed up as 'Bali' or different international destinations or something when they used to bungle them into that room in the backyard they used for Carson Kressley's drop in specials for a couple hours and pretend it was a plane trip to said place. Anyways, It had a proper pool.

2013 had some interesting Bedroom layouts also, 2014 I recall they had the weird little parlour/cloak room that interconnected between the bathroom and the two bedrooms.

That's right. I think it would have made more sense for the retreat to have had the hot/cold pool arrangement and the main house the proper pool.

BB3 is obviously the favourite because of that season's two-house gimmick. But layout-wise I didn't care for the separate kitchen at the other end of the pool.
Yes - I agree. To me would have been better to put the kitchen in the area that connected the two houses and then use one of the lounges as the new diary room.
