I think they had the right idea casting George someone who’d pick fights and act as an antagonist and provoke all the housemates, but it was in the wrong direction. No one wants to listen to politics and debates on social issues, its big brother, just make the fights messy, petty and fun. Give us someone like Charley Uchea.

And surely they would’ve known he would’ve eventually said something stupid, that was too far, like they’re basically asking for it.

It’s a hard no for me… I think we’ve seen this archetype time and time again on the show and it’s really getting quite old. The best drama comes from genuine situations and relationships that form within the house not producer manipulation.

In this case it seems he was cast as an attempt to avoid being labeled “woke”. There definitely was a time where you could show both sides and hope that they’d find common ground but for the most part it’s just not possible in the current climate. I’ m quite happy this experiment has blown up in their face and hopefully it’s a lesson learned.

They said it will be two housemates that went too early, that rules out Marcello. Wouldn't be surprised if it's just Emily and Gani. Rumour is Farida could be back as she usually posts regularly on her Tiktok but hasn't posted anything the last 2 weeks.

I think the issue is with alot of these young political commentators/analysts etc. is there is absolutely nothing more to them than being a sheep to their political ideology and they have zero real world experience which would show them what they and their leaders are spouting is absolute nonsense.

Yes, and in George's case I don't think he even has a political ideology. I think he's just smart enough to have figured out there's money to be made from spouting GBeebies (context for Aussies: 1, 2 ) bullshit and getting publicly "cancelled".

The more I think about it the more I think it was his plan all along. Btw has the news of him being a Scientologist made it here yet?

Without George the shows really picking up on in-house social conflicts which are much more entertaining than constant current affairs. So far so good with this series, I just hope the eyeball currency gets more stakes than it currently has and that the two former housemates returning twist doesn't ruin the momentum that's built.

Yep it's definitely gotten much better with George gone. The latest ep was hilarious... "crows are a sign of death"...

And although Big Brother announcing the coded message dialogue was slightly more producer meddling than I'd usually like, it was very very funny.

So despite ITV somewhat protecting George from his comments that got him kicked out by not releasing them, the clown has gone online and repeated what he said.

George said bosses took this as a racist remark when he added he would feel like he was 'betraying my kind'.

He said: 'If I had a baby with a black woman or a brown woman, the child would have brown skin, brown eyes, brown hair… and the gingerness would die a death.'

George continued: 'I like touching the boundaries and maybe I'm in the wrong but what I said was, as a ginger with blue eyes - I'm like the rarest form of human on earth - because red hair is recessive and not a dominant gene.'

And of course sees nothing wrong with it. Proof though ITV lied about not being able to broadcast it - if they showed the comments being challenged by the housemates or Big Brother and broadcast them in that context then they wouldn't have breached OFCOM codes. That's not to say ITV should have broadcast them, but they shouldn't lie about the reasons not to broadcast them.
