About 8 weeks. They were still in discussions about Celeb BB a few weeks back, trying to demote it to ITV2 and no doubt cut what they pay for it.Idk if I’ve just not been seeing it but there seems to be absolutely no hype at all for this season, how much longer is ITV locked into their contract?

Agreed. The difference in social media campaigns between BBUK and BBAU at the moment isn't even comparable...Idk if I’ve just not been seeing it but there seems to be absolutely no hype at all for this season

The lead in to the first series was decent but this feels like there’s been very little effort. It also doesn’t help that ITV’s official branding is quite tacky. Best promo was probably the one used for the AJ & Will announcement.Agreed. The difference in social media campaigns between BBUK and BBAU at the moment isn't even comparable...

They’ve given a sneak peek this morning:
Overall, it’s what you expect from ITV: design of the house follows design of the logo. But there are new sofas and the dining table was replaced by a new eye-shapes table featuring the logo.

For what it’s worth I don’t even know why they bother redecorating as it all feel very same/same. I think the concept works for a show like Love Island but when you have a series that’s known changing things up often drastically between series it doesn’t work. I’m not necessarily bothered with them keeping the same layout year over year but the lack of variation is grating.

I've enjoyed the ITV BB seasons, and I understand networks are not keen on spending a lot but this design is a bit boring now.
They could absolutely make it look new without blowing out budgets. There is no separation of the seasons. You'd think with a studio change between 2024 and 2025 they'd make it look a bit different!

Yeah It's kindof popping with the exaggerated colours again but this year kindof slightly more muted in some parts. I like that the Diary room has a bit more of a backdrop again for something different than the dark void of the last few seasons (although I think CBB24 had a bit of curtain backdrop didnt it).

I doubtful this has anything to do with budget and more to do with ITV’s imposing mandatesI've enjoyed the ITV BB seasons, and I understand networks are not keen on spending a lot but this design is a bit boring now.

Just 12 HMs to start...
No doubt they'll add more as one is about to be evicted. Viewers have been asked to vote for someone to give the "evil eye" which puts them at risk of eviction but we've not been told how. Suspect they'll be a fake eviction and they move in with some more potential HMs.

The three HMs cursed with an "evil eye" are:
The three left immediately to go to the exit room with only two set to return. ITV being ITV though and never wanting to miss an opportunity to piss of the audience won't reveal who goes until tomorrow's show.
Emily, Sam and Caroline. Cameron and Nancy were also in the top (bottom) 5.

Wasn’t feeling the launch at all…
Not sure if I’ll believe them that it will be a genuine eviction… the first night timebomb eviction was a genuine eviction as well until Simon was brought back. If they are unhappy with the results, they’ll bring back tonight’s evictee as well. The other ones are gonna be screwed though, because the house now knows who’s unpopular with the audience, so they are easy targets for the nominations.
Generally feeling it is a bit weird that they pushed the “who goes… you decide” bit early on just to revert to “you have a say, but the housemates decide” later on. Generally not a fan of them recycling old twists yet again.
Also: They’ve changed furniture last-minute before for no apparent reason, so it might not mean anything, but they’ve done it again for the launch. The house photos on Instagram had 3 sofas on each side with one being purple. On launch night, they only had two on each side and only one purple sofa. Which might come down to them removing two sofas because they needed the space for the podiums.
I wonder if the purple sofa(s) will mean anything. My first idea was that the purple sofa would make for a good nominee's sofa on eviction night. If that's the case, two purple sofas might lead to some sort of divide, but I might as well read too much into it.
