BBUK 2016 - Series discussion

As a simple thinking creature I can only reveal my simple conclusions - how the demons and gods managed to arrange them in my simple potato head... only they know I guess.

1. Laura: Honest and well presented noms - the boys didn't like it but Alex due to his age or lack of brain capacity seemed to take it better... though he did need pillows to cover/protect his vital parts... hm... a case for the therapists

2. Jackson: Well, Jackson, nothing more and noting less. First picking on Jason of course due to some consensus I gather he perceives.... how can you go wrong with that, especially if you are using the expected reason/commentary - and then picking on one of the girls, easy fodder. My guess is that neither Evelyn nor Laura ever paid him the attention that he felt he was entitled to after having bedded the Queen of England - silly little boy.

3. Sam: So basically Sam has still sour grapes that Jason has taken away his mother Lateysha from him... that's it - no way of disguising it. Yes, and Laura of course, he being gay and she being the kind of woman gay guys maybe don't like to compete against in the BB house? I' just guessing because his reasons for nominating Laura were pathetic.

4. Evelyn: Not surprisingly she nominates Jackson and why wouldn't she. And despite being an Aussie, she actually manages to articulate her nom unlike the British gangsta.... now that's gotta count for something.
And then of course it's Jason again. He has become the easy, safe one to nominate. That's how the game is played.

Jackson cannot help himself but criticizing Evelyn's nom for Jason and is up for a fight. None of your business you little shit, let the noms continue and take on Evelyn on a one one one basis later on and she'll chew you up and spit you out - if you were intelligent enough, I'd call you an arrogant little prick!

5. Jason: Nomming Jayne main reason being that he still has to justify himself for nomming Charlie and Lateysha and the way I see it, he's got a point there, because I would have done the same thing.

Jason nomming Laura and the somewhat murky reasons I didn't quite understand... but watching both Jason and Laura afterwards was like watching people, I mean grown-up ones not having hard feelings. And that is one more reason why Laura is still one of my favourites.

6. Alex: Good Lord, he looks like the hangman.... I hope they bothered with subtitles: Retraction - I actually understood that: LAURA.... because she so pertinently must have pointed out within his earshot that he was flying under the radar... naughty, naughty Laura, how dare you utter the truth?!?

His second nom is Jayne... how easy is that. Reason: Because weeks ago she threw tantrums and wanted to leave the house.... I've got news for you pretty boy, in the first few weeks everybody does something to get airtime... everybody except for you!!!! You are exactly the slithering snake I had you pegged as from day one - and if you win this thing, your fame won't last long because I will come personally and twist your neck with not as much as a drop of your venom even having made out of your fangs!

CALIGULA before syphilis set in !!

7. Jayne: No surprises, Jason.... I still think it's an aftermath or should I say a leftover solidarity between the fading Blondes. While others during the week seemed to have warmed up to Jayne, I could always see her for who she was. That kind of vindictiveness once a certain age is reached cannot just simply be switched off. See Mr Steve Jobbs, may your soul rest in peace, that's what you should have worked on instead of a malfunctioning iTunes!!

Yes and Jackson again and as usual, he just can't take it. They should give him a Knighthood to lower his blood pressure... or maybe a few Valium every night would do the trick?

8. Hugie: I doubt there'll be surprises here. Jason of course because he got rid of Ryan. He could have just said so, everybody knew anyway, including Jason, but he made some silly attempt of finding one or more justifications. There's hope for you yet laddie...

The other one is Andy, no surprise either, regardless of what reason(s) you fabricate - he's the most likely to win.

9. Andy: His nom of Laura comes as a surprise... the reason is pathetic - unless he really fears her to be one of the main contenders to win the show, in which case it would be tactical..... but please, a little more decorum especially from you wouldn't have gone astray!

Hughie is the other of Andy's noms.

I'll be curious to see if Andy's what I thought unwise nom and his comments to Laura afterward "...I had to pick someone..." isn't gonna bite him in the ass in the end and cost him the big prize. For goodness sake - he could have nominated his fiancé, the one with the ring, the one who cheated on him!

...no Dystopia... it was 'Ed'... it was short for 'fuckED' ... what a little whimp he was... he used to 'shuffle his cards' waiting to pounce on Tim Dormer... he's probably still shuffling them to this day... either that of shuffling his dick through his knuckles... he is one guy that needs to be smacked really hard in the face with a shovel as far as I'm concerned... cheers.

Oh yes, thanks Sticky, that's the guy I actually meant. Just got the names mixed up. One of the meatballs. :)

So I've read online that conversation at the end between home boy and the mumbler caused great anger amongst viewers. The mumbler apparently joked about Evelyn. Even reading the stories online I still don't understand.

Can anyone out there translate homeboy and mumbling and let me know what these two said. I legit can't understand it. I'm watching on youtube.

I was trying to make sense of that too alas... a brilliant mind like Einstein's is required.

Seriously though - when you tink of all the money they spend on the house and the production, you'd think they'd throw in a few Pounds for subtitles.... or get people in the house who speak English!

Alex: she called me out again last night and said 'I'm sick of your shit.' I don't know if she was joking or not.
Jackson: No, I definitely think there was something she was implying.
Alex: (smirking) it's like the only time you wanna spend time with me or put your arm around me is ... after a story(?) or something like that. (They laugh at her.)
Jackson: Oh, mate!
Alex: I was like, it's not you can tell her 'It's cause I'm drunk.' (They laugh at her again.)
Jackson: I'm surprised you didn't. Turn around and say 'Well, I've had a fishbowl, so... (They laugh at her.)
Alex: I got so close. Like, SO close. But, I thought nah, she's obviously upset. I'll have to speak to her. I don't want her to feel bad. Again. Another test of gruelling willpower, of mental and physical strength ahead of me now.
J: Got all that shit going on now.
A: She's like I like to cuddle you in the night and I wake up and it's 'Wake up, kid,' (Laugh uproariously at her.)
Jackson: She's just not used to proper lads, like.

BB, you are like an abusive parent, who takes private info and uses it against your children to get them to fight. But, please show Ev this, and let this lad watch himself flush his win away.

...I saw this poll on the 'ThisisBigBrother' website...

http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/polls/?poll_id=1390

...it's a poll on who the people on that website's favourites are and I assume also who they think will win this... I've put it in a 'Spoilers' tag so as not to give it away to people that don't want to know... I'm very surprised at who #2 is and where that person is ranked (although I kind of knew where that person would be to be completely honest with you)... not surprised at all where #6 and #8 sit on it lol!... especially #8 lolol!... if only they knew in the house... that would be pure gold to see their faces lol!... cheers.

I just want andy to win. The rest I do not care to watch anymore. Just when andy felt he had his place in the house bb decides to almost cause a rift for him. Why? He was so good doing the tv presenting task, and then bb throws that snake comment about him backstabbing Jason. Thankfully it didn't work. I think andy gave a eff more about the outside world news than about the petty bb stuff.

..thanks so much for going to the trouble to post this... it must have taken you ages!... I so appreciate this... I just fast forwarded it just because it was them two talking... (hmmmmm!... I may have to start actually listening to what those people that I just skip past are saying before I do that from now on methinks!)... lol!... what a pair of lowlife arseholes those two are!... that really showed Alex in his true colours eh?... he will pay for that with THE PUBLIC... he just blew ANY chance of even coming close to winning this now lol!... what a sap!... it couldn't have happened to a nicer person could it?... as with what you said in the post above I so hope that Big Brother show that to Evelyn in front of them both... it'll be pure gold to watch lol!... again... thanks Winterbourne... cheers.

Laura's eyes when andy nominated her, omg! That needs to be made into a gif.

Remember when Chelsea said he would kick off and we laughed? Well when Jason said that they'll need 10 security guards, I believed him. I reckon he would have taken jacksons head off had he not been in this environment.

the audience base demographic for that website is only a fraction of the audience of big brother though...
remember this is the show with the crowd that boo's anything that comes on the screen.
The people on that website probably appreciating game playing and stuff more than the general public

Thank you @Winterbourne . Great work.

I would say that is probably Alex done but he is a good looking rooster, if plenty of teenage girls vote then maybe not.

@Mr Stickyfingers - Evelyn is a feisty little thing, if BB played that footage I reckon she would straight up rip Alex a new one. Also thanks for that Poll, very interesting. I'm also surprised at No2.

I hate that crowd. I believe Laura. She is terrified. That crowd is going to be even more hyped after they see this episode. Heartless.

If Jackson is saved tomorrow night, I think I'm going to give up. If Jayne is saved tomorrow, then my faith is still with the people

Thank you, Hughie, thank you! Exactly, I'm sick of these conversations too, and really there is nothing shocking about these nominations anymore. Seriously, just announce the winner.

...your wish is my command Sweetgeek!... Laura had quite a few reactions when she found out so I did 5 GIF's of the whole sequence to cover what you are saying lol!... sorry that they are so small though but this website won't let me post them any bigger because of it's size restrictions... so which Gif was you referring to?... here they are... cheers.

SIDENOTE: i just watched the Love Island finale and i can honestly say it was so much more exciting than the last big brother finale. They really did the house up and made it a fun vibe with the crowd. big brother finales seem to stick to a pretty stock standard form now and itd be cool to see them do something a little bit more entertaining like love island does.

Number 3 is great.

I'm no fan of Alex but I think Evelyn throwing herself at him for the showmance story was a bit offputting for him. He doesn't want to come across as bad but probably doesn't want to be involved either.

On the subtitles issue they could put some in. The US version puts subtitles in but it's no better as they only seem to use them when I can understand what is said anyway, and when something is said really quick or whispered they don't bother at all.

Sam had lost his mother Lateysha... orphaned, poor bastard - but.... which grown up woman wouldn't take pity on an empty-headed. lost, little crying boy.

As if predetermined by the Gods themselves, Jayne, against all odds as it seemed for a while, was rescued so she could become the replacement mother for poor little boy Sam.

As (I think it was Laura) pointed out later, there had been no connection between Sam and Jayne but he insisted "...yeah, we were talking..." right you are Sammy boy, that's what Mother and Son are in the habit of doing unless they play roles in some Grecian Tragedy.

I still think that Jackson will be shown the door instead of Laura - I hope so anyway.

A part of me is thinking 'thank fuck this ends in a few days'. Up until two days ago I was for the most part enjoying this season, but the last two days I've just suddenly had no interest and almost have to force myself to watch. It's kinda come out of nowhere and is somewhat surprising.

I guess it's because any of the nominees could go this week and I wouldn't care.

I think Andy will be safe in fact I'm pretty sure he will win and thats cool.

Despite the poll that the great @Mr Stickyfingers kindly linked above I would be absolutely amazed if Jason did not go tomorrow. I mean he is past being boring he is like a zombie brooding around the joint. A triple dead Zombie that is so zombied that he isn't even interesting. Actually maybe a zombie is being too kind. He is a shadowman.

Evelyn is a cool chick, she gets her heart stomped on twice in the one task and just shrugged it off. I like her.

That's strange - I feel the opposite. Apart from when James is on I have found the last few episodes really interesting. Once pointless loud people like Lateysha and Ryan were evicted, more interesting personalities have been able to come out - Andy's humour, Cannon's prickishness, Jackson's hypocracy, Evelyn's ' Don't hand me that shit, mate', Laura's absolutely woeful read on who makes a good potential mate and her entitlement - Sam should have taken me off because clearly I wanted that.

Was that twist designed to get Andy nominated?
