BBAU Rewatch

So to finish of my brief comments on the episodes before I do my write up, the 2014 finale was just as shit as the 2013 one. Awkward segments celebrating romance, tasks and the BB voice? And all the questions were about these segments rather than the housemates and their experiences. A long duration that consisted of a lot of nothing. Skye losing pisses me off still to this day. The only good thing was having the friend's and family outside the house. The one and only time the Ch9 version 'broke the 4th wall'. Don't expect anything but complaints from me in my season review.

Wasn't Drew studying engineering before he went into the house back in 2013 and had almost finished his degree? Whatever happened to that career lol.

Will post my thoughts tomorrow probably on the series and housemates. I’ll also add in a detailed summary on why I love big brother and how I’ve feel about the show during its run.

This is has been really fun. I especially love everyone who contributed to the conversations, whether it be just once or every other day along with me. Having other people share their love of the show and their opinions alongside mine made me feel like I was experiencing the series in real time all over again.

Now to catch up on all the gogglebox and survivor that I’ve missed after giving every ounce of energy to this rewatch. May watch Masterchef and lego masters too. But probably not. I need a serious RTV detox after this new season of big brother lmao (we all know I’ll still watch everything lol).

You’ve not missed much with Survivor 42. I tried with the pre-merge but it’s just not the same show anymore.

Nah, Hotdogs had a story behind his name.
Now, if you look to "Pieface" in BBUK....
Have not seen any OS BB productions so I will take your word on it.
But unless someone comes into the BB oz house as "dim sims" or "Chiko Roller" Im still awarding hotdogs with that dubious distinction.

Impressions of the channel 9 series I haven't seen since they first aired all those years ago.

2012: I remember Ben having such a strong negative vibe in the house, especially towards Estelle, that it clouded the season for me. Ben, Stacey, and Michael would just be so awful. But I get the impression Josh would have won if not for the sad passing of his brother.

2013: Tim won. Zzzzzzzz. I don't like it when a winner is too obvious. I liked how Ed pissed off Tim and his cult like followers.

2014: There were two interesting storylines on that season. The first was the high school mentality of Lisa. Who would rather confront David the nerd for simply agreeing that her boobs are saggy rather than confront the jockish Travis who actually made the comment about her boobs in the first place. Which makes me thinks she didn't care about the comments, she just wanted to remind David of his social position in the house.

The second one was Cat's pursuit of Lawson. And yes, I know there were plenty of opportunities where Lawson could have stepped back. And as Lawson at the time had a girlfriend he was more at fault. And he was giving out signs he was interested too. But the main thing I remember about the Clawson story was how Cat pursued Lawson with the subtlety of a porn movie. Helped along by her highly suspicious, some say 4chan influenced, win in getting the most votes to spend the night in the sanctuary.

Do we know whether Dreamworld kept / demolished the amphitheatre with the construction of the Taipan?

Had a couple hours to kill this morning and drove past Dreamworld / the back of the house where UrbExs would access it. Looks as though they’re finally developing that block of land and it looks as though the support structure for the Taipan would encroach on the amphitheatre?

It’s completely demolished. Someone had posted pics of the site after demolition but can’t be bothered to dig up the thread.
