BBAU 2025 house location - Speculation & discussion

I expect the house and audiences will be scaled back compared to 10's previous seasons. I don't think it'll come close to the 2003-2005 era. It's going to be much harder to get major sponsors on board, especially if they look at Seven's ratings.
I disagree with your last point.. 10 has a great relationship with kfc and Isuzu, I think those 2 will be major sponsors for the BB return.

I honestly think they won’t scale it back, because they’re promoting it to be ‘bigger and better’ and if they change the schedule for 2026 and move it to survivors spot, then they’ll want it as big as they can..

OK, let me revise that. They might be able to get them onboard, but the income they will generate from the sponsors will be a lot less than they enjoyed previously. I hope I'm wrong though, I do want this to succeed. It's up to 10 to convince advertisers this is going to be huge, and then come good on that promise. I could understand why advertisers might be sceptical.

The eviction auditorium will certainly be smaller as the demand will almost certainly be smaller - you can create a better atmosphere with a full studio holding 200 fans than at an arena that holds 1000 but is only 75% full. They'd already made the space at Dreamworld smaller during the Nine era.

The house size will be determined by the location - TBH they're all pretty much the same. The new BBUK house feels bigger internally but probably isn't too different in footprint.

Yeah i swear the live eviction crowd space was smaller during the nine era then during the ten era.

I think they'd already reduced it during the final 10 series too.

Was it BB08 they built a small set outside the house for evictions too but then perhaps only used it once as they had that ridiculous revolving door and wanted to pretend the evictee rotated out of the house onto the stage.

IIRC the first three series had quite a sizeable crowd outside the house for the launch shows and even a fairly big stage built for the BB03 launch but they never replicated that for the finales then from BB04 switched the launch to the auditorium.

Yes, that is the one, the silly producers made both a small set outside of the house for evictions and the revolving door (which i, as a little kid, thought was awesome), and during the first eviction the silly cameramen filmed at the small set, only to realize their mistake and switch to the revolving door for every eviction thereafter (but the cat had already got out of the bag as so to speak).

Yeah I liked the low key outdoor launch but i remember how much they struggled through the rain in 03, i figured this was why they did away with them but it made for a more “event tv” feel!

One of the issues with the Nine era is the auditorium set would intrude on the first few seating rows and leave a mostly black void where previous sets from Ten era were built. E.g. 2012:

But at least 2012 still had the grassed seating up the back, that would later disappear due to enclosing the back of the auditorium (photos lightened to better show the crowd up the back)

2013 for comparison:

And while we are at it, 2008 for comparison (2nd photo more clearly showing the grass area):

I may be misremembering but I feel like 2008 had more stadium style seating where the stage was lower, I personally didn’t like the feel of that at all.

Plus IIRC the eviction plank was non-existent until the finale or later in the season, which made the audience section look bigger.

I loved the 05-07 stages. Particularly the 07 ones, but I wasn't a fan of the finale set up when they put the massive screens either side of the stage.

Agreed the 07 one was pretty impressive in the way they brought in the light bars.
2008 was a mess… no idea what it was trying to be

😂 yeah 08 was random, wasnt a fan. I believe 07 was definitely the best of all versions, maybe it was the symmetry lol

BB08, according to one media commentator at the time, was turning into a variety show, with Pammy, Magicians, etc.
