BBAU 2025 house location - Speculation & discussion

It was one of the buildings here, wasn't it?What is the first Seven house used for nowadays?

North Head Quarantine Station - Wikipedia
Yes - didn't realise it was called the "Quarantine Station" - that's quite apt.
Not sure what the building BB used was used for before or since. It probably wouldn't have been suitable for a live run in terms of being a suitable location for an audience but it certainly ticked the cut off from the outside world box.

I’m pretty sure the first channel 7 house is actually just outside north head sanctuary army barracks which was used for filming of the biggest loser
With the first 7 house, Didn't the housemates say that there's wasn't an indoor roof to the set and possums would run and piss and poop along the rafters of the structure?
Ah, that rings a bell, yes. Just googling that now and it "was located in two massive sheds left over from the military days" and "near the cafe". My work had a Christmas function there - pretty sure it was the barracks - in 2000 or thereabouts.I’m pretty sure the first channel 7 house is actually just outside north head sanctuary army barracks which was used for filming of the biggest loser

Take a look inside the Big Brother house on Sydney’s northern beaches - realestate.com.au
Hidden inside a warehouse on Sydney’s northern beaches, the new Big Brother house had been shrouded in secrecy – but these images show just how the housemates are living.

I am almost certain those sheds are possibly where the commando would train contestants whilst filming biggest loserAh, that rings a bell, yes. That feels an appropriate metaphor for how 7 shat all over the format and it's fanbase. With the first 7 house, Didn't the housemates say that there's wasn't an indoor roof to the set and possums would run and piss and poop along the rafters of the structure?

On the topic of Docklands --
I don't think the traffic of an eviction night would annoy the Condo residents too much either - lots of shows are taped at those studios and would get live crowds in. Plus lots of accessibility via free trams from nearby Southern Cross Station.
I feel like it would lend really nicely into cross-promotion on The Project (akin to Rove in the original run). The Project is taped in the South Yarra studios, so it's only a short trip for any evictee on the Sunday show to go to the Monday Project taping for an interview.
It's also possible the "backyard" area would be run similar to Canada, where there's a small space of outdoor/sunlight area and then a temp-controlled recreational space indoors that operates as a makeshift yard with a pool / gym equipment, etc.

I really don't think an indoor "backyard" would work at all for BB Aus - it serves a different purpose really on BB Can where it's more about the challenges than catching the rays, so if 10 do have any kind of FNL Arena that could be undercover but I think the backyard, although it could be smaller than what they had at Dreamworld, plays too important a part in the day to day activities of the housemates to scale it back too significantly.

Do we know when filming will be?
If the production dates are a similar time to ch10 and 9's (late autumn-spring), I think QLD is the most ideal location weather wise. You get the beautiful sunny days so we see all the sexy shirtless people catching a tan, and then the cute cozy cuddly winter vibes at night when its cooler. Im also heavily biased as I want to go to a live show in my own state

Mel Tracina confirmed it will be in Q4, as was said in the tv tonight article.Do we know when filming will be?
The 2025 ratings season is stated to end on Saturday November 29, so if we’re in for a 12 week season (hopefully this is the case) it would launch early September. But regardless of length I think it’s very safe to presume launch will be anytime in the month of September.
If they select Sydney they should aim for a Sunday 31 August launch, so they can take advantage of the best month. If it's in QLD then it won't matter as much.I think it’s very safe to presume launch will be anytime in the month of September

Yeah it could mirror Season 9 (2012 - starting Mid August) or 11 (2014 - Starting first week of September) depending how close they want to get to end of ratings finishing either half of November. IIRC 2012 was around 85 days (Like BB01-04) whilst 2014 was a little shorter at 80 days.Mel Tracina confirmed it will be in Q4, as was said in the tv tonight article.

2013 was a 100 day season, but it finished the same time as 2012 almost exactly, so It could have afforded to start a little later than it did (Late July) in Mid August or something too and still fit.
T
Technically October but in TV terms usually September. Should be T3 really. When does Q4 start?

Hypothetically if dreamworld was the home for BB in 2025… technically the amphitheatre can still be in the same place as it was (see red circle) as for the house yes it would be in a new location..Dreamworld is out of the question. The plot where the house was is now home to a McDonald’s and KFC. Would definitely make those KFC runs a lot easier on production that particular site has pretty much lost all appeal.
Not to mention cost. It was one thing when they’d leased it from a developer who was years away from it being developed and another to come back and ask to use it again once development has started.
As for the amphitheatre @Zcsund1234 was right.

TBH I don’t think they have any intention on going back to Queensland and/or having any association with an attraction or theme park nor should they. I think it’s likely they’ll just use a couple of available sound stages in Sydney or Melbourne.
