I think they will be moving the demountables at the northern end and build a garden out there. Regarding visibility of the park rides, they could build walls high enough that curve inward in to prevent sound and visibility. Not to mention the floor would need to be raised to allow for plumbing and such. There’s not even a space around the facility to extend a garden or outdoor space into.

I’m sure further updates will come through pretty rapidly now. Just seems weird to have that huge dirt lot sit empty when it’s the perfect spot to build a big brother house.I think they will be moving the demountables at the northern end and build a garden out there. Well I get it's ultimately much cheaper to retrofit an existing building but out of all of Australia I struggle to believe under a roller coaster in an open theme park was the best option.
Seven may have scrimped on the finishing touches, like a ceiling and mirrors, but both their houses utilised their setting well and the first especially really ticked the "cut off from the outside world" box.

Dreamworld would have been footing some of the bill as well in exchange for the amount of advertising the park receivesI really didn’t see 10 and the production company funding a completely new dwelling.

Surely a cement pad, 4 walls, and a roof couldn’t be THAT expensive to build. It’s also not as if Dreamworld didn’t find a use for the previous house during the first hiatus. I believe it was mentioned that once the set was struck it was being used as a storage facility.Dreamworld would have been footing some of the bill as well in exchange for the amount of advertising the park receives

That's what I thought... you have to put up a simple shack, otherwise the cost should be the same.

When it got abandoned for good (and the land eventually sold) and people treating it as a lost place, I always thought that they should have turned it into a haunted house for Halloween. Still think something like this - or one of these walkthrough funhouses, if you want it to be family-friendly - would be a decent use for such a structure.

Halloween really isn’t a thing in Australia for some reason but yes the shell could definitely be used as part of some sort of Halloween Horror Nights style event. Especially now that it’s been confirmed they’re using a BBUK style pop-up interior. That's what I thought... you have to put up a simple shack, otherwise the cost should be the same.

It's a bit of a thing for theme parks. Movie World is doing some mazes for Halloween, and while Dreamworld doesn't seem interested in competing with the mazes, they at least decorate the park for Halloween a bit and have it open during the night... I don't think they still do it, but a couple of years ago they also turned the Dreamworld Express train into a swamp monster hunting tour to make it a bit more special.

I don't know why I had it in my head that they were going to use a new purpose built structure. Pretty sure I had read that. Also, with this warehouse/soundstage shell it worries me that they're going to do the same as BBUK and not really change or modify the design and layout. With the old structure they were at least adding to it, swapping out the house layout, secret rooms/pools were different each season, etc. This doesn't allow much for that.
I'm assuming the back yard is going at the north of the structure where the road and portables are.
Despite feeling a bit let down at this "cheaper" approach, I'm still optimistic for the show returning. I still wonder how the live shows are going to work if this is indeed the main house.

ITV made a concious decision not to change the layout of their first two houses it had nothing to do with the way they chose to build it. That said in terms of “quality” albeit much more temporary the way it’s build is superior in every way possible. In no way does it feel “cheap”.I don't know why I had it in my head that they were going to use a new purpose built structure. Pretty sure I had read that. They've still not changed the layout. I guess we'll know soon when their new series starts if they've changed that. The layout has basically been the same even after they moved to a different studio lot.ITV made a concious decision not to change the layout of their first two houses it had nothing to do with the way they chose to build it. Still a choice made by ITV, not something that was forced by the studio setting. Also, it's not like they haven't reused the layout previously. Channel 5 kept the layouts with minor adjustments for at least 2 civilian and 4 celebrity series before they've ad. It's just been less obvious because the Channel 5 houses had less distinctive design features (the long hallway, the stairs and upstairs lounge), changed the furniture and maybe a room or so if you were lucky.
At the end of the day, the old house at Dreamworld wasn't much different from the current approach. It's been an empty shell and they've just moved walls in between seasons. They can do that again.

Incorrect. The layout was changed when they moved to Titan Studios in for CBB 2025. This is twice now you’ve been corrected in the past few days… Perhaps look up facts before you postThey've still not changed the layout.

ETA: I realize that I made an error in my previous statement: It was in fact three series (two civilian series and CBB 2024) where the same layout was reused.

I apologize, moderator. But with the exception of the upstairs landing and some other small nuances like the color scheme, the house in fact remained mostly unchanged.Incorrect. You’re wrong again. While there are similarities between the two layouts they are in fact substantially DIFFERENT. You clearly haven’t looked at the details and are just talking out your assI apologize, moderator. I refuse to argue with you and continue to veer this thread further off-topic from the Australian version. I've watched BBUK since BB3, so yes I know details about the show. You need to get down off of your high horse. Your responses to posts you don't agree with continue to be adolescent and aggressive. Talk out of your ass? Such civilised conversation, man. You’re wrong again. While there are similarities between the two layouts they are in fact substantially DIFFERENT.
