BBAU 2025: Casting open, return to Dreamworld Confirmed

Just coming back to the quote from Amelia Fisk "Get ready for a summer of incredible human drama and unforgettable moments."

It would be very disingenuous to refer to a 4-5 week season starting in early November as "a summer", especially as summer in Australia is considered to start on 1 December. 10 has a 12 month schedule and maybe they are gambling big on BB, regardless of non-ratings. After a success for this season they will no doubt schedule it earlier in the year in 2026.

"At this stage..." are the words they used... and the original job advert posted on here was a contract from early Nov-early Dec, Ten also said Q4... but it's almost as if THEY don't even know when it'll be launching 😂

Everything is going great, and I just hope it doesn't all come undone due to the shorter series, because 7 had to keep their dirty paws all over it.

I'm already seeing comments about it being a very short season, which makes me wonder if they upload all the OG seasons to keep us entertained during the break inbetween this and next season.

Mel might mention something on The Cheap Seats tonight..
I'll doubt we'll get dates or anything, but she will definitely have something to say about it.
It’ll be Mel saying “huge big brother news this week with 10 announcing the show is coming back to dreamworld” with Tim following up with a playful swipe at one of the Mels

Sorry, I didn't know how to properly quote Brekkie.

It could possibly be something similar to this, a graphic on screen

If it is Sunday 16th Nov, and wraps before christmas.. that is REALLY short...just hold off 2 months and kick off in Jan 😭

Ok... been some time since I last posted here but with all the hype thought I'd come back and see what's going on since the announcement but with all the hype they're posting on instagram/tiktok/facebook/whatever about how it's going back to the good ol days and not whatever pre-recorded rushed survivor in a house that 7 was doing, they realise they need a decent lasting season like the previous series they keep referring to right?

I see so much clamour for people calling for the return of friday night games as well and if 10 gave into that, they'd only be able to give like about 2 or 3 if the series is only running a couple of weeks. Surely, surely, they know it needs longer than that right?

You can't be pushing all this hype out there saying its a return to the good times, and say remember all this and then be rushing to get it over in like 4 weeks, with hardly any decent time to get to know people.

Like major props to you supposedly bringing back 24 hour live streaming but the series needs to run a decent length as well. If it can't be fit into this year then delay it to next year. Just bring it back right.

I think it’s safe to say that this holdback has been the main reason we’re getting a short season. It’s also safe to say we’re almost certainly going to get a full season next year.
I would’ve preferred for them to wait, but I’m trusting that this mini season will be a good little taste test for what 10 are planning and will be long enough to get people hooked on the new (old) format.

Mad respect to them, hope they can keep this up for at least a few seasons. Even though it rates well, people are sick of shows like mafs, the block (which is just a big product placement like the Truman show), Aus idol and the voice etc. I reckon we saw the start of this especially with the axxing of shows like Ninja warrior and that garbage. There's only so many times you can keep repeating them.

I think 10 has been bit of an underdog and their slow decline in the past few years hasn't been a super super bad thing. Some of their shows like I'm a celeb, gogglebox, cheap seats, thank god you're here, have you been paying attention, (id say MasterChef but it's run itself down a bit, especially with these too long of a seasons) have been quite a comforting place to go to and the channel I flick to more often now since it hasn't been so draining to watch.

With 10 bringing back big brother in its og format will be great. Especially now since people are kinda over all the 200 streaming services and don't want to pay for them anymore. I hope this goes well for them, I think all they need to do now is bring back the original format of the living room and they will climb back up again. Lol. Would love an Aussie version of come dine with me, that would be perfect.

It's funny though, seeing all the blue tick warriors coming out thinking that they'll stand out because they have x amount of followers... some in the hundreds of thousands... they don't want you lol... although maybe 1 or 2 of them so they can get a reality check and get taken you down a few pegs in the house by the average Joe would be entertaining.
