BB27 USA - starts 10 July

This season isn’t bad but I’m not as invested this season as I was last year… The stakes just aren’t there. You’re right the cast is likeable but aside from Ava I’m not attached to anyone at this point. As for Rachel IDK the house pretty much see her as a pawn and they’re only keeping her around because they believe she’d be easy to beat in F2. Also Keanu and Kelley are no Angela and Tucker. Neither are very likeable and as long as they remain in the game and continue to save themselves the game will remain stagnant. I’m starting to get the feeling that we’re going to see a reverse BB26 where things are going to get more exciting in the jury phase.

Yeah, I think the season will pick up some steam later on.. main issue right now is that the cast has too many duds that don't even try to figure out how the game works. Lauren is especially bad right now.. and I guess production had to put in some extra effort to make her HoH appear at least somewhat interesting. She's been completely clueless.. What the season needs is people going after more than just one person.

The HoH overthrow power has been used, but unlike similar powers previously it was before the HoH made their noms and the HoH isn't still immune.

Also a huge flaw of the switch to three nominees is it basically seems to be the same nominees every week with just one switched out. I think if they're having three nominees they need to go back to the third nominee being chosen a different way.

Has there ever been a HG cast their vote to evict, leave and then return in an attempt to change it before?

My wish is that production don't tell Ashley about her vote.

That way if the HGs decide to find out who the other vote was, Ashely will legitimately believe it wasn't her and then we can have some fun fallout as they start accusing others of lying.

Last week I groaned when I saw Riley win HoH, then I was elated to see Mickey use her power to take over. By the end of the week I ended up feeling like the season would have been better off with the Riley HoH and then I slowly started losing interest. But this week has won me back over with Ava actually drawing a line and nominating big players.

Well Zach was always getting booted at some point anyway so leaving pre-jury with $10k plus presumably a months stipend at $1k a week versus $13k for making it to jury isn't that idiotic.
Agreed. Decent twist but the steaks just weren’t high enough. Honestly this seasons twist have really taken away a lot of the actual strategy this season where we’ve had up to 5 nominees I don’t really blame them for just rotating the same people. Also for as much as I liked the idea of Rachel getting a second chance she’d be much better in a season where the steaks are much higher like all winners. She’s definitely not a cult leader but I almost wish she hadn’t been there and that her presence has really stifled some interesting dynamics in the house. I feel like this cast could have been much better on their own. I’ve also heard bad things about the edit. At the end of the day if you don’t want to show people in their true light why are you casting them? If anything the show needs better after care (BBCAN’s Jacey-Lynne said she only had two sessions with a councillor after the show and the rest she had to cover on her own) than they need to edit people poorly. In fact it just makes the after show experience even worse when it’s the fans vs the edit vs HG’s with their own reality.

Agree - and for some reason single returnees seem to be in a stronger position than if there are a few of them. From what I've read though Rachel has played a good game but as you say the others have played around her rather than their own game.

She's HoH this week so will have to show her cards.

Happens to me when she says her most recent catchphrase: "love one another".
I agree so much. it is completely opposite of the game.
They have however confirmed the finale for Sun 28th Sept.
Also so dumb feeds don't launch till Sunday night. Seemingly nothing in the premiere which justifies the delay and it just kills any momentum the premiere set up.
I honestly thought that the feeds were just dumped from Pluto the season and I searched everywhere I cannot find any information because it seemed like it was going to be on tubo. (which I was not getting around trying to get) I found out Tuesday this week that they finally started the feeds. definitely killed the momentum.
We had Zombie Week during BB25, when they haven't had a Wednesday episode and basically took a whole week to do some sort of battle back between the two evictees from the double eviction.

My initial guess was that it was the 13th houseguest to enter, since they have 13 everywhere and I don't think it's just for Rachel winning season 13. But with the Amy videos, I'm on the Amy train now, too.

Thank you... that's been my personal pet peeve with any non-American forum that talked about Big Brother US. Sometimes it's been so weird that people used a spoiler tag for all of their comments.. and you had no chance to tell what they were talking about, e.g. if it was just live feed or episode or whatever.

Just don't read the thread if you haven't watched the latest episode yet.
yeah in terms of the zombie twist too bad he was out the next week. I still enjoyed it though since it was still very emotional and was finally starting to move the focus away from Felicia 90 percent of the episode. and I am probably underestimating it, was probably more like 95 percent.

They are getting quite creative with their powers this year.. the HoH takeover sounds a bit like the gameplay mechanic from The Power, But they just nicked all of their remaining ideas from Big Brother, so I guess it makes sense.

Also, with all these powers in play, the Wednesday episode will be heavy on the comps this time.
it is nice that they are experimenting with some of the powers.

So despite the vote tonight it’s so refreshing to see the house playing and making decisions for THEMSELVES not as a pawn in someone else’s game.

Also I’ve slightly changed my perspective on Unlocked. Still not a fan of Derrick but I’m interested to see if the show offers anything beyond just spoon fed opinions.
I am so happy that this has been happening a lot this season. I remember someone in a different place mentioning that they should just stop how many people voted for who. and even though I still agree I am happy that it's not have to come to that for voting to be more normal again. The strange thing is actually that people people voted exactly what they thought they were usually get what they wanted. all the scared players made up more than what the people wanted then the other direction they were scared on going.

in terms of unlock,I find some of the segments funny but that's about it. I mean intern is funny but it'sat least a nice thing to put on a Friday.

I wasn’t as invested a couple weeks ago, but the week 5 nominations had me interested. And then Rachel winning HoH and doing us a service and sniping out Riley was fantastic.

I may be in the minority but I’m enjoying the season even if it is likely a two horse race between Vince and Rachel. But even then they could target each other to the point of both getting out soon.

But for the most part the people I like are still left 🤷🏻‍♂️

sorry this is over 2 posts. I was originally going to edit into the other one but I cannot figure out how to do that. The other forms I use have everything in text command in them so I do not realise this was going to be different. granted the features a pretty nice here, so let's get on with the final page.

I agree in they are correct about the very low likelihood of then voting her as a second champion because of The fact that she got the money once in the money should go to someone who never got the money.(something that has been said more than one)

exactly, people should not be too hard on this decision because it's actually smart. I honestly believe in terms of big brother that because the chances of getting the top price is so low in the fact that there's not really much prices for any position under 2, until you at least get halfway through the game just take whatever money they give you unless the cost is really high. (The only time I considered is if the reason is not related to staying (something really convoluted, can't think of any good examples right now) or makes you look so bad) One example would be for the second, Big brother canada one time had the shredding letter thing and it just looked bad on the outside. so you might want to do that since you actually have to come home after this.

this is a logic I also did not understand in 'whatever the name of that competition in which people switch prizes with each other.' Take some of the guaranteed one is particularly given they did not know it was a spy be splash buy paint for the hours of 9pm(I will have to look for the beginning)-5am $100,000 in a competition would have been perfect for Keanu. but even the smaller prices are worth taking. I just didn't understand ignored something with a pay out that high.

I am not going to go that deep into it but honestly I would be shocked if the American version has any bit of aftercare. most American shows go by the you know you're going to get comments after the show, get used to it philosophy. I am not saying this is right but that's just the facts, America really is not famous for their heavy care in psychology. I will go as far as to say we do not have a word for it commonly used on screen because of how nonexistent it is. aftercare is basically saying 'you going to be more public on social media so be prepared', that is basically what aftercare is for US TV shows.

I think live feeders enjoy the season quite a lot because the houseguests are quite active compared to previous years. Main reason for people to dislike this season seems to be the bad strategic gameplay. I wouldn't mind bad strategic gameplay... but I think the season suffered most from no gameplay. People blame three nominees and blockbuster, but the real issue is that people seem to be focussed on getting out a specific person and not caring about anything else. If previous HoHs had at least a second target, the season would have been a lot better. At least, you'd have target/target/pawn and not target/pawn/pawn or target/pawn/ally.

I'd agree with you though: The season picked up steam with Rachel's HoH. Bit weird though that they've dropped the whole mastermind thing and the whole Hotel Mysteré theme (outside of competitions anyways).

(Also, I would have been super annoyed with CBS if I tuned in on Sunday for the show and had to sit through 30 minutes of Unlocked before being able to see the Sunday show)

I've completely missed this rumours but Hamsterwatch suggesting a short All Winners season look likely for Feb. CBS launched and revived Celeb BB against the 2018/22 so no surprise they might do something again.

I'd prefer another Reindeer Games personally though perhaps should be thankful they don't do "Cupid's Games" with old showmances around Valentine's Day.
